Best look at this tool. I'm not sure whether some of the others can even operate their smart phones.

I bought a Launch Creader 129E for sorting out some ABS and other sensor problems on a 2005 Mitsubishi K74 pick up and also other Japanese vehicles . I could not get the auto vin to work but when I typed in the vin number on this Launch Creader 129E it did correctly diagnosed the problems. Overall I have found the Launch Creader 129E to be a vey effective scan tool which has paid for itself many times over. However I do wonder if downloading too many updates especially for vehicles which I am unlikely to ever work on could potentially overload the memory capacity for this scan tool ? I have therefore decide to be much more selective as to which updates I choose. It would also appear that the brake bleeding programme available to purchase under the Mall icon is only valid for 12 months before it expires. I would like brake bleeding to be a one of purchase for specific vehicles to help DIY mechanics working with ABS brake systems where thee air needs to be removed from the ABS module.

For a DIYer that only works on one or two cars, I think the Autel Maxi AP200 takes some beating.
I paid less than £50 and not only can it read all my Jaguar's modules, but can also program new keys, release the electronic hand brake and few other cool features I've not yet tried.
It is just a bluetooth plug and connects to my Android phone or tablet.
Perfect to leave in the glove box, just in case when travelling.
Lifetime updates for 1 car, but others can be added for $15USD per year via play store.
If they did an all model version for under £200 I'd snap it up.
One feature I'd love to find on an affordable unit, is the ability to reset transmission adaptations on the ZF6HP26 auto box.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi thanks for watching it looks like you’re out side the USA so I know options are limited. It’s very hard to find a scanner under $200 I can tell you the CanDo C pro is that scanner but it’s $599 and or the Launch Diagun is really good. I been looking at this think diag this is what you want. Do some research on this I think you’ll be very interested. New level auto did a video on it, check Keith out.

i got the elite version of that scanner The downfall is when you stream live data it conveniently shows you in red out of range values bringing your attention to it ..now lets suppose its intermittent no problem just record well in playback the red out of range does not show in playback so if the value is for evin a 3 second out you will not see it and time is money i have to view each one and hope i see the intermittent error for the length of the recording...and i am not talking about grafting colors just the OUT of range value in red as you can fast forwarded the recording keeping a eye out for red.

I have the 129X. The only real difference is the X has buttons in addition to the touchscreen.

I agree. I bought the same unit because I ask before I bought it for automatic transmission fluid temperature if it measure. They reply yes. Guess what it absolutely dont have it. It has engine coolant temperature which I think its not the same

Just be aware there is no customer service for this scan tool from "kingbolen". You'll get no response from your emails & there is no phone number.

bgregg55 I’ve had no issues with them too be honest. What was your experience?

@@weldingjunkie Out of the box it would not connect to the SRS system in my 09 Saturn. After several retries it finally did & read the code. No response when I emailed them. I kept it because it pretty well paid for itself reading that one code a dealer would have charged over 100 bucks to do. Let alone the cost of repair. My code was caused by a poor connection in the PPS sensor connector under the passenger seat & I was able to just clean the terminals. I suspect the dealer would have wanted to replace the PPS sensor & charge me several 100s.
