Thanks for the review. I just picked this model for only $121 US dollars on eBay as prices have really dropped. It's not a fake as the upgrades work well. Seller has a good reputation.

Another thing people should know is that the company will disable or remove software features in updates to force you into buying more products for them to perform basic functions the tool came with when you bought it. At least that's what they did to me with the ability to program tire pressure sensor id's into my 06 dodge caravan with my LAUNCH X431 CRP919E a few months after I bought it and had already changed two of the 4 sensor id's in the vehicle computer. They ended up sending me a tire pressure sensor programmer tool and 4 branded/programmable tire pressure sensors when I complained enough and spread the word, but it's still something to watch out for with their products.
quick question... does the abs contain releasing electronic parking brake for changing the rear brakes.. i would mostly use it for that

I've just purchased one. Have problems with my 2008 Nissan Qashqai steering in that I changed the clockspring and now get the dashboard yellow lights for electronic stability control and ESP so I believe the steering needs recalibration. Does this tool recalibrate or just reset the steering angle sensor, anyone know?
does it work with chevy malibu 98? modern diagnostic tools don't have protocols for old cars with early obdii.

Hi. Do the 'Launch' tools measure automatic gearbox fluid temperature? This is needed on some Jeep models to accurately measure the fill level.
I looking at Amazon which has many packages and versions of this particular model. I am ready to release the trigger but my concern is many reviews that tell the software is not the USA supported but Chines. So if you have any problem or need an update etc, no one can help you in plain English! Is this true?

On a CRP 129E, I accidently forced stopped the main software, now it doesn't work properly. How to you factory reset the software? I tried the recovery option in settings, but that only resets user data. It does not reset the software.

13:54 No it is not "Mail", it is "Mall" as in a store to add-on features. That was just added in my last update. The issue with my 129E was that the MAC address was not fixed as it should be. So if you are using a router where you enter MAC addresses in the filter for security, it would not work, so I had to enter it as a "guest" on my router. It seems to be fixed during the last system update. The unit is quite nice. I was able to check short and long term fuel trims, etc. Battery life was still at 100% even though I had not used it for 6 months. Note that it may be available in your market but not supported by LAUNCH in your market; my 129E was sold by LAUNCH (China?) and therefore not supported by LAUNCH USA as it is not on their web site. Software updates are always supported though.
By the way, the 129E is not on the LAUNCH UK web site just as it wasn't on my North American web site. Not to worry though since electronics is damn reliable. I've never had issues with anything electronic that I ever bought. I bought mine in August of 2019.

After 1 year (bought in April 2020), the 129e unit lost the ability to do functional testing with the engine. Now they want $49.95 per car per year model to get back full functionality! WTF! $290 and a yearly cost PER car type!
Only now (without) it scans errors and resets. I liked the real time data to track down issues…. Lost LIVE DATA.
You bought a fake. Real ones you don't have to do that.

No you can not... I just returned one because it does not have that feature... I'm not sure why it's so difficult to find this information on these things and why people reviewing them wont respond to the question. I found out the hard way.

If you live in hot climate avoid keeping LCD devices in car. LCD screen will damage.

FiCOM is the best bet for the Ducato /Boxer /Relay, it's very comprehensive but does need a laptop to use it.

The CRP129E Can do DPF regeneration. You have to purchase the software from the mall. It's a 1 year subscription for $29.95USD.
Here is the thing. 99% of the time it will cost you MORE and often a LOT more to buy a product from the manufactures website. You go to their website and price is X amount. You come to Amazon and it says it is sold by the SAME manufacture and it is 30% less. They can't afford not to sell on Amazon. However, not all stuff sold on EBAY is bad. I have never had any problems yet buying anything electronic on EBAY and often is is cheaper and some times much cheaper then Amazon. People believe that Amazon has the best price and they don't look anywhere else.
For full functionality, they want $49 USD per year. Nothing about this on Amazon… lost Live Data.

One thing that he doesn’t really make clear here is that Launch DOES NOT support it. I bought my Launch CRP129 from Amazon. I called them 18 months later for some battery life problem. Launch told me they don’t support this one. They said they don’t support SOME International units that aren’t really made in the U.S. It made no sense. Then he went on to tell me that everyone knows that electronics made in other countries are not always supported by the the company who’s name (LAUNCH) they originate from. None of it made sense. Again, I bought from Amazon.

It's common because in so many cases they don't know the answer to the question. Remember, all you have to do is say you are a mechanic and you don't have to have any certifications. I'm a plumber, I'm an electrician". Sound familiar? People find out the hard way when they take it to some guy who works out of his home garage and the car has more problems when they get it back then when it went in. If they can't prove they are CERTIFIED and have INSURANCE, stay away from these "mechanics, plumbers, electricians".
The 22nd thing you need to know is that launch DO NOT HONOUR THERE WARRANTY!! try and contact there helpline, quote the units serial number to be told that even though it's a genuine launch product, the supplier shipped it in from china even though all launch products are made in China and it's a chinese company. BEWARE!!! THEY DO NOT HONOUR THERE WARRANTY
How are these manufacturers like the second one still making these scan tools with no touchscreens and low resolution displays. Hitting an arrow to scroll 20 times versus a simple swipe is annoying as heck.

Believe so. You have to buy the immo option from mall for 50 a year. It should do American and Asian vehicles as long as you have a master key already
Its better to buy a cheaper scan tool & then purchase the diagnostics software separately if your using it for a personal vehicle cause you don't need the preloaded software for al the makes of vehicles you'll never diagnose.
Cheaper scan tools don't do most of these diagnostics, I have a £40 scanner before this, all it would do was read engine codes and let you erase them, never was able to read the cause of my traction control not working, airbag lights etc. You can get this exact scanner for £90 off marketplace pre-owned so for an extra £50 its worth it

Again, great video, love your explanations also it's a great feature that it actually searches internet to help you address and tackle fixing error codes, not just detecting them. That's an awesome feature.
Now how good and how reliable is the error code fixing information valid or is it by an amateur or professional? I guess you will have to read and see who's providing such info 🤷🏻♂️

Some have said that Launch doesn't sell on Amazon? Then again, it could be someone trying to Sabotage the sales on Amazon? So much evil going on the internet, you don't know who to believe 🤦🏼♂️
I would think if 1000's of Launch products are being sold via Amazon, Launch would step in and put a stop to those sales, legally and swiftly 🤔 This is why I am leaning towards of a Sabotage Sales and they are selling for $200+ clones are usually sold for a lot less.

I have one of these and I'm disappointed that it only covers TCM, SRS and ECM systems on my Land Rover Discovery 3. I also have a Foxwell NT624 Elite that covers all the modules fitted to my vehicle and also my wife's Abarth 595. Seems like an expensive upgrade to have a touchscreen. Also the Launch CRP129e doesn't detect as many faults on the systems covered as the Foxwell does. I can't recommend this diagnostic code reader as it's fault reading capabilities fall far lower than other less expensive brands.
