Out this week from Zavvi in the US & The UK is an outstanding release for First Blood (Rambo: First Blood). Coming from Zavvi and the founders of EverythingBlu, these are must have sets for any Rambo fan's collection.

Easily the best film in the saga, although the fourth is a terrific action movie, too.
I did buy the dvd boxset some years ago on ebay, i think it was an Eastern release but it was better then the official UK release because all tiltles were released in DTS 5.1.
But it was a good buy due to the number of documentaries on each film related to how the film influenced Eastern countries. These were great documentaries much better then what you normally get. Shame though i lost that boxset😢.

Weekend At Bernies is a classic. Now that needs to be released on 4K. Also, I would love to see the 3 hour cut of First Blood.
It on every night on the News every Night.....except they changed his same to Biden.
I love this film. I hate the name change but legitimately it took me years to find this movie in the blockbuster growing up because of the titles. It's absolutely the best of the series.
I had this on preorder right from the start but I dropped it at some point. Felt dirty spending that amount on a single old/readily available disc. I really like the packaging and this is a significant piece being limited and from a new partnership. Had the art been the poster art I probably would not have been able to resist.
Something about First Blood I just like that's it the origin story even if it doesn't go as hard as the novel. Rambo wasn't yet the mythical commercial figure ya know

First Blood is by far the best in the franchise. FB part 2 and Rambo 3 always felt like less fun versions of Commando. Stallone got too caught up in chasing box office success, especially in his competition with Schwarzenegger. But I've always liked him, despite some terrible movies. Copland is worth a watch, one of his best performances
Original Rocky & Copland are his best performances to me. And good call on Commando, it KNEW it was ludricrous and is more enjoyable for it as you pointed out.
I am old enough to remember when the original was released, the character of Rambo is very interesting, they took a character from a damaged Vietnam veteran to a cartoon character literally, I cant think of any movie character that has had that type of progression.
It's like it they made Taxi Driver part 3 and Travis Bickle was a superhero.
I always thought steelbooks were a waste of money since it's the same disc as what's in the regular release, but i gotta admit these limited release collector editions look amazing and very tempting.
When a story is originally a book, its gonna have more depth and the story will be richer.
First Blood is the only good one. Also goes for Rocky.
I never understood why RAMBO 3 did poor box-office in America.
Culturally we were moving on... Rocky V was universally panned also. Nirvana, Death Row Records, indie films, etc. captured mainstream audiences and big, extravagant artforms appeared almost overnight as lame.
Good or bad, that's what happened.
Rambo was a dessert when by the early-mid 90s audiences wanted meat and potatoes.

Why only make a thousand? Obviously it’s going to sell out. All this does is enable scalpers. I had to settle for the steel book because the $125 set sold out in hours . I’m not going to pay $300 on eBay for that. These labels don’t have a clue how scalpers hurt everyone.
I don't like it at all when they change movie names. Seems to me they do it for slow people. First Blood is the only film worth a crap in the series.
The fourth one is, as well.
