I was completely blown away by this edition and pictures can only say so much. But when you get it in your hands its a different story altogether. EBay is a very dodgy place to go to and thankfully it worked out for me this time. But it's a shame I missed out on the zombie Flesh Eaters. Hopefully another opportunity will come my way. I love the art work on this boxset to my favourite Stallone film of all time, First Blood, what a movie, I can't tell you how many times I have seen this, but every time I put it on, I get told to shut up because I talk along with every character in the move, word for word. Great review Keith, to a great movie, it's definately in my top ten.

It really is great to see so much care and attention going into probably one of my favourite Sylvester Stallone movies. Honestly I never thought I'd own an edition like this. What a blessing to have it in my collection.

That is an awesome steel book 4k for first blood Keith I like it I would buy it but I already own all the Rambo movies including Rambo 2008 on 4k and the bluray that has both the theatrical and unrated version on it I prefer the theatrical version because it moves faster and Last blood with the extended opening scene where Rambo tries to rescue those people stuck on the mountain with the flood coming down on bluray thanks for showing us👍👍🆒🆒
I completely understand and thankfully I never actually purchased any of the Rambo movies on 4K so I didn't have to double dip on this one. I didn't realise that Rambo 2008 actually had an unrated version. I must check that out on my blu-ray that I have of it. I have to admit I did not like last blood at all and I'm actually trying to ignore that movie when it comes to the collection. Very similar to the way I've ignore the last Die Hard movie. Great unboxing. I picked it up too and was amazed at how big it was. The downside to this is that space will be an issue if they release more!
I was the exact same I had no idea it was going to be this big and it was a pleasant surprise. I know there is space issue's but in all fairness I can't see them doing any more Rambo movies like this. I hope I'm wrong
I've ordered from the zavvi US site and they seem to package things better than when I order from zavvi UK. But you would think with so many complaints on how things show up damaged due to the lack of protection they'd take strides to make improvements. Who wants to spend hard earned money only to get a damaged limited edition item you waited weeks or months to get.
I have to admit Zavvi done a great job on the packaging on this release. This is definitely the first time I've seen Zavvi go through so much trouble when it comes to packaging and hopefully it's there new standard. I will know very soon because I have something coming from them today. Chances are they went right back to the way they used to be. Interesting to hear that zavvi US is very different. There really shouldn't be a difference because it's the same company in the end.

Since I bought that I’ve also bout the alien quadrilogy head, the night of the living dead bust, and just pulled the trigger on the predator 3d head bust u have. Im catching up! 👍
This is exactly why I started a TH-cam channel. To make people aware of a lot of these editions and I can't tell you how happy I am to hear Rob that you're able to pick up some of my personal favourites. The Night of the Living Dead 1 in particular I think is a fantastic edition and to get the From Dusk till Dawn as well which is quite rare. I think you done very well Rob and keep it up my friend. It's a nice set Keith, I think the Everything Blu team still has some input into these releases hence why the packaging is good. The quality control seems far more premium on these releases. I just wish they would have continued as a solo company as they produced some wonderful editions and there pricing was alot lower.. Nice to that they are still continuing even if under the Zavvi name. Thanks for sharing 👍

I view ebay as the equivalent to entering the town of Dodge City. At every twist and turn you have to be ready for a shoot out! There's the good folk of Dodge intermingled with the Black Dogs of Dodge City, especially the Sheriff called Big Corp Dwanne from eBay. Its one hellish town Keith..... Keep well.
That is the best description I've ever read when it comes to buying from eBay and I have to agree with everything you said. I've got burnt so many times when it comes to eBay but thankfully I was able to correct my mistake on this occasion. To be honest Darren I think I need to revisit these movies myself because I can't remember the last time I seen them all. I think I will try to avoid the last one though because I remember not enjoying it.
@@millerman9991 I have to say Rambo Last Blood (2019) was a big downturn in quality. I enjoyed the one before in 2008. More of a raw story. Definitely need to give them all a watch though
I find when it comes to Rambo I ignore last blood. Very similar to the die-hard collection as well I completely ignore the last one. Last blood just didn't do it for me at all and it never felt like a Rambo movie
I didn't know the deluxe box was so massive and it's beautiful too. I remember at the time I was debating which one to get and had only limited time to make my mind up. Happy with the collector box and I think they are 1000 each edition Keith and 2000 total. I like the colour pallete of the steelbook myself with the blue tone and the back especially. The feel of the box is great. I think the packaging is manufacturer packaging from everything blu and not Zavvi.

@@millerman9991 I don't think we ever see sets like this x3 or x4 unfortunately. I can see them doing something completely new next time, probably the first part of another big franchise again, would be great if it was T1 as I don't see any edition to that.

Such a unbelievable set of First Blood. The steelbook is a bit of a letdown and one of the reasons I did not pre-order this set. But if they ever do a similar set of First Blood Part II, I'm all in. Great unboxing Keith.

I have two friends who have had bad experiences with Zavvi. Lots of damaged stuff. I’ve also seen many people on TH-cam say the same thing. It’s why I’ve avoided Zavvi. It’s a shame because I love the look of a lot of their stuff (especially their steelbooks). This edition looks nice.
I'm always saying it in my videos but it kills me that I buy from them. But as you said they bring out some incredible editions and sometimes I honestly can't help but buy from them. Thankfully this Rambo edition came very well packaged and hopefully they will learn from this. But I seriously doubt they will

pretty cool set i was thinking of buying this 4k Rambo edition at one point but just bought the standard 4k edition about a week before this one was announced i decided to not double dip and safe a few bucks and on another note i just picked up the new 4k edition of no escape with ray Liotta from turbine-shop Germany. This is a nice boxset. I would buy this Ultimate Collectors edition now if it was on Zavvi. I can only see the £59.99 Steelbook version
It's a shame because it was available again early this morning but it's sold out very quickly. Just keep an eye on it because you never know it might come back again.
don't come with your fingers on the disc! many collectors on you tube are obsessed by the case and the artwork but don't care about the disc. Very strange I think. I bought for 25 euro the Rambo - 5 Film Collection and I don't care about the artwork but keeping the discs as new is for me much more important! Great Collection by the way
Trust me I look after my discs. I'm not going to spend a lot of money on releases like this and treat discs like s***. The disc in in this set was a little stubborn coming out. I care about the whole package.

Hey Keith. Great review of a pretty unique box set mate. I got the big box edition. I to think the steelbooks quite average to be honest but chuffed to bits to have this belter of a release. I do have a minor complaint/moan though...this boxset deserved to have at the very least One decent sized thick card poster(like the arrow releases get)..actually i think it should have had two...one of the stunning box cover art an one of Drew Struzans legendary one sheet poster. The posters we got were a bit naff I think. I'm only moaning because I love framing these things(like the one that came with Highlander this week..what a stunning 4k print) Anyway small complaint done mate😀 It genuinely is one of the best pieces of physical media I've ever bought an a masterpiece of a film..love the medal.Take care,I know its a very sad time for you and your partner and i wish you both the best..Cheers mate

I know the Steelbook was a little underwhelming but my god the set itself is one of the best I've ever seen. I honestly can't get over the artwork on the main box. The way it feels the texture all premium. I know exactly where you're coming from as well when it comes to the poster and it would have been nice to get something similar to an arrow release because I actually do like them posters. Believe it or not Garry but I just got my Highlander edition through the door and another fantastic released from studiocanal. The poster you get with that is fantastic. As for the Rambo boxset its honestly one of the best-looking deluxe releases I've ever seen and I love the Purple Heart you get inside it. It doesn't get any more premium than this and it's probably one of my favourite Sylvester Stallone movies and it's great to see it gets such an incredible treatment. Thanks for checking it out John

What about the video quality?Is it much better than the standard blu ray release?
The 4K transfer looks great on Rambo. It's by no means the best you will ever see but it's a marked improvement over the blu ray

You're absolutely correct it is just called First Blood but for some strange reason on the box set itself they through on Rambo. I completely understand why they done that though. It's a minor nitpick to a remarkable edition and I'm sorry that you missed out on it. But thank you for taking the time to check it out. I really appreciate it

I completely understand that Robert and sometimes I can be a bit like that as well. It is a very expensive edition but when you look at what you're getting I honestly think it's worth every penny and not forgetting the rare Factor as well. I think this set would have been better if it did contain the collection and I would have been willing to pay extra as well to get the rest of the movies. Shame it never happened

Hey Gary. I have to admit I really am happy that I picked up this release of it because I think the Purple Heart is the best part of this set and it was great to get it. Some great releases you got and looking forward to next week. A lot of Christmas movies on 4K that I'm desperate to get my hands on

Hey Paul. Apologies for taking so long to get back to you. Right so from what I've been hearing there are serious issues with the Steelbook of scream 2 and apparently there's delays everywhere. I know on Amazon Italy and France you will have to wait until next year and if you try and get it from America I think there is a 1 to 2 months waiting period for it to be dispatched. I honestly don't know what has gone wrong Paul and hopefully they can correct it soon. I got my one within 2-weeks from amazon.com. Just check them out and see if anything Has Changed

Honestly Paul I don't know what was going on with this Steelbook. As you can see in my video I had a lot of damage on mine and maybe it has something to do with that. It's a very long time to have to wait
Hi buddy. I got that set too. I totally agree though that the steelbook art is not quite as nice as the rest of the sets art. Still nice though. Hope they do the next Rambo movie the same way.

You need to be careful on Ebay. It's a good way to find items but there is always an arsehole to spoil it for the rest of us. I collect records and got a fake from Germany. When he was advertising the item his English was perfect. When I was complaining about his scam his English became very poor. ME NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT U SAY!!!!

Hey Johny. It's funny that you mentioned Germany because the exact same thing happened to me as well. I was trying to buy a deluxe release of a movie and his English was absolutely perfect borderline fluent and when things started to go wrong he couldn't speak a word of English. I try to be as careful as I can be but sometimes I have to admit I do be blind to certain things and I really should work on that before I do get done very badly. Thankfully it had a happy ending and I will learn from this. As for the Rambo release It's honestly one of the best deluxe Editions I've seen and it's one of my favourite Sylvester Stallone movies and it's great to see it get this kind of treatment. Wow that is insane and honestly I never knew that. To be honest I can't process the thought of Dustin Hoffman playing Rambo. Taking nothing away from Dustin Hoffman he's a fantastic actor but I don't think he would have suited this role. That's a great bit of trivia and thanks for letting me know

Excellent review But to be honest what spoils the release for me is the title on the box it should read Stallone above FIRST BLOOD in the large red letters not Rambo!

Why they Don, t use the original artcover for these releases at least for the steelbook . That,s why I missed the old LD, s releases. It, s a bad habbit in DVD and BR editions.
I honestly don't mind seeing new art work for this Rambo edition. But I do agree with you I think they should have stuck the original artwork onto the Steelbook or somehow feature it inside the set.

I need to check that out myself because I'm almost certain someone says in the movie that he got the Purple Heart. There must be something because it would have been very strange to put it into this release

What about the sound? sadly the BR release had an awful 5.1 or and DTS mix just sounded weird and out of place.... I know the old DVD's stereo isn't the best but still feels more authentic. How about these new atmos mixes?
I haven't checked out the 4K release yet. I can tell you that there is no Dolby Atmos with this movie. It's a DTS 5.1 audio and I'm almost certain it's new to this 4K disc. So it's not the DTS you got with the previous Blu-ray. I'm sorry I couldn't be any more helpful

As far as Zavvi goes, trust me, that will not stay. They will continue to not ship properly. Over the years they will just randomly do it and then go back to not. So you will continue to receive 4 out 5 things damaged if you continue to order from then.
Yeah I know I'm kidding myself hoping that they might change but I know they won't. As far as I'm aware of I think I have one more pre-order with them this year and then I'm done. It's a shame because they do bring out some amazing releases and this is probably one of there best. But thank you so much for checking it out

And are just as limited. That Rambo collectors edition was $139. A one-click from the premiums is that price. And for 3 editions.
To be honest I completely get what your both saying but inevitably I think it all comes down to the buyer himself and I was more than happy to pay the money that I paid for it.

If this was an EverythingBlu release, which it basically is, it would have been $75, including shipping. So I could see $99 a the most and that would be high, but $140. No way. I would never pay that much.

Normally I never do but in this case I have to. They really looked after this release especially if you seen the packaging. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I get another damaged item from them
