You don’t have to download the software but to get the benefits from it you need to download it on at least one computer. It will carryover most of your settings. So, for example, I use it on my Mac where I have the main program. And I can use it to set up custom keyboard shortcuts. And then I can use it on my work PC or my iPhone or iPad without needing to download the software on those

I don't know if you can answer this question or not but on my Apple keyboards, I'm always hitting an extra key when I press the space bar or even two keys instead of one above the space bar and it's very annoying. Do either of these keyboards have versions that map the Apple keyboard specifically, but would make it less likely for me to mistakenly press two keys simultaneously?
so I’ve only had the MX mechanical and the Keychon K3 pro. I would say, the MX mechanical mini is an iPhone. Great for average users who just want something already premade that works great. The K3 pro is also excellent, but is more for those who are open to a lot of customization. I would give it MX mechanical mini to anyone who is either starting into the world of mechanical keyboards, or just need a good keyboard. I would give the K3 pro to anyone who is competent enough to use the QMK firmware; not afraid of hot, swapping, switches, etc.
