Good luck with your trucking business. I have a lot of respect for anyone that starts their business to make a better life for their family.
Appreciate that and couldn’t agree more
Look into a shocker hitch to avoid bumpiness. It trailer pulls back on the truck causing that.
Yeah I was gonna get one when I ordered the trailer. I should have
Keep trucking bro you're giving me some hope i have a 2023 ford f350 few months now and haven't started out as yet
Keep doing your thing every business takes time to be profitable 🙏
Thanks! And you got this!! 🙌🏼
Keep up the good work on your business
Thank you! 🙏🏼
What lanes have you been staying near? I’ve had really good luck around Nebraska/Colorado Iowa area especially with fuel prices
Are you required to pass a DOT physical to drive a rig like that? I had to give up my CDL because I had to have retina re attachment surgery and later cataract surgery. Could I be hired to drive a big pickup?
Yeah you still have to have a medical card to drive a setup like this
Greenacres may be? I live about 3 hours north in Palm Bay!!
Yep that’s what it was! Thanks!
@@truckertavis I used to do local/regional delivery of printed material, copier paper, and old-fashioned tractor-feed computer paper from Daytona Beach to Miami so I know most of the towns and main roads...
That sounds expensive for 2 fuel filters. Do you know about Doc's filters? Thay seem pretty reasonable though I've never tried them.
I just came across them actually. Think I’m gonna give them a try next time!
@@truckertavis I have never serviced a Cummins engine (I have a L99 F350 7.3 truck) I do buy generic fuel filters and have bought them for under $20, plus I have an aftermarket pre-pump spin-on filter which is a spin on for less than $20 for a Baldwin unit. Again, I really don't know much about the Cummins engines....
If that load was actually 30' long you wouldn't have room for anything else. How can you take a load paying that cheap and expect to stay in business? This is what keeps driving the prices down.
I would have had room for my other piece just fine. I’ve been doing fine business wise, I went over what I wanted to make monthly. And I disagree, I’m a month in and as a new MC we have to take what is given. We get the scraps until our MC ages. It’s scammers, double/triple brokers, and guys with older MCs still taking cheap freight off the load boards is what’s keeping rates low.
@@truckertavisBro when I drove big trucks that was also the case. Personally I think you would be much better off getting your CDL and buying a semi rig and trailer. But you do you. The maintenance you’re spending on a tiny big rig is about the same for a semi.
@@rolandthethompsongunner64 oh I’m definitely getting a semi. The cost to get a CDL setup is the same or even more which is ridiculous.
A dollar forty is not good cmon man!
It was supposed to be a $2.05 trip but the weather cost me a load. Can’t control the weather.
That’s average. Although I’m not up with current freight rates.
