Very nice setup Tavis! Thursday I left RC with a dry van recovery load to northern Idaho, picked up a full load in Spokane to Scottsbluff, and a load of wood back home to RC. My 85 FLC did great, and grossed a little over 6K in three days and 2200 miles, which is hard to do this year. Interested too see how well this goes for you. ~Rob~
@@adventuresofrob5989 thank you Rob and good to hear things are going well for you too! 🙏🏼
Looks sharp kid hammer down make that money have a great day be safe.
@@2fast65 appreciate it! 🙏🏼
Very cool. Congratulations!
@@mikedemarsh2153 thank you!!
Man I’m really happy for you!! Nice upgrade, and what a curveball too lol. I thought for sure step deck, but there’s some good money with a 53’ reefer too and that’s a fact!! Congratulations man!!!
@@Blue_Sky_Hotshots thanks man! Yeah I definitely threw everyone off haha I want a step deck eventually for all the customers I gained but out here in the west reefers make good money and I’m glad you know that 👌🏼 thanks again man!!
Yeah boss get some🇺🇲💯👍🚛
@@gregburgess6884 you know it 🙌🏼🫡
I say Bravo Tavis!! I have a friend (female) who has been driving for about 20 years and she has her own small fleet or 4 trucks now leased to a company and all they do is reefer. She says she does very well.
@@richardbarkley9909 thank you!! Yeah I think it’ll be a blessing! The region I’m in should do well with a reefer
Congrats man! Love the setup
@@jarich1991 thank you!
Not to mention the over head and all the maintenance you will have now
Trailer needs a thorough cleaning ….some paint in spots and definitely some rim polishing…..dont be a dirtball like some of these you tube truckers …..keep truck and trailer clean please ….it only benefits you and your buisness
@@kirktitgen2309 oh definitely, trust me a lot needs done on both truck and trailer. Gotta keep my professionalism and that means a solid looking truck/trailer. I’ve been learning to polish so it’ll all look good.
So how did u go from a non cdl single wheel trk n trl to a semi pulling a refer? Doesn't make ?? All you're customers u have made and you start over?? Why not a step deck ?
@@chrisnichols8847 almost 10 years in the industry I’ve gained a lot of knowledge with all the different types of freight I’ve hauled. Reefer is king in my region. I’ve only been at this 7 months so I haven’t gained a whole lot of customers but the ones that use me are aware I’m out of my hotshot. They are waiting on me to get a flatbed and if an emergency comes up and they need me I can rent one for a month. Already have plans setup for it. Regarding customers for the reefer, like I said, been at this long enough I know the customers for reefers all ready and who I’ve ran for before. Maintenance is irrelevant, plenty of maintenance in any setup. The beautiful thing about a reefer can is I can run dry van loads and reefer loads so my reefer won’t run all the time. It’s just the name of the game in trucking. Maintenance and over head time. “Hurry up and wait” is the trucking motto regardless of what setup you’re in
No more hotshoting why? You went trough worst already
Goal is to grow and has always been to own a semi
No more hotshot my guy? 😭
U going to hire someone on the hotshot set up now?? Or u just going to run both whenever u can?
@@Avankaurparmar I’m considering it. I have a few things to get fixed on the truck before it hits the road again. I’m debating on keeping it or selling it. Idk if I want a CDL setup if I hire someone. Got a lot to think and pray on
