Thanks for the critical information on power steering pump! Most of us don't even know what type of steering we have, these types of videos definitely give us more insight on our vehicles. Cheers!
Thank you Very much good sir. I have looked all over the internet looking for information regarding the coolant engine reservoir. This has helped me you have a new subscriber
Super video! Unfortunately, I saw your video afterwards, but while checking brake fluid levels in my 2017 elantra and 2018 Santa fe, I had the brake fluid cap off for maybe a minute or two minutes, am i in trouble with moisture from the air going in from the time the cap was off? is going to the mechanic necessary for the moisture level test
A minute or two minute should be fine. When you press the brake pedal, if it feels soft and mushy. That's a symptom of too much moisture in the brake fluid.
Thanks for the video. My 2017 Santa Fe is leaking windshield wash. Are you able to post a video of replacing the reservoir? If it’s too much trouble then maybe just walk through the steps. Thanks in advance.
No easy way to do it. The only way to really know if the transmission fluid level is full or not, is to have to jack up the vehicle, open the transmission fluid fill port and put fluid in it till it starts falling out of the transmission. Again it's not accessible and doesn't really give you a reading of how full your transmission fluid level is besides telling you if it's full or not
Unfortunately I can't say just by the color, go by what it says on the coolant bottle. If it says it's for all makes and models or mentions Hyundai then go for it.
thank you for your great videos. I've learned alot from your videos. How about showing us more advanced videos like changing transmission fluid/ differential fluid/ transfer case fluid?
Virar Automotive but how would you flush and refill them, namely 2017 hyundai santa fe sport, I'm at 96,000 miles and never been checked since I've had it for a year now, everywhere I call (Pep boys, Firestone auto, and few others big names) and they all say they can't look or check it so where would you recommend to go and get it checked and serviced if you can think of a branch of auto repair/services that can and will do this I'd very much appreciate it, cause I've call dozens of places and they all say the same they can't check transmission without a dipstick
I understand you are specifically asking about the transmission fluid. The transmission fluid is technically rated to last for the duration of the vehicle, 'lifetime' fluid. Hence there is no dipstick the quality/level of the transmission fluid. No auto repair can, because there is no view port or dipstick to check the quality/quantity of the fluid. However there is a drain and fill plug on the transmission. The auto repair facility can use these ports to drain and refill the transmission with new fluid. So practically any auto repair facility can drain and refill the transmission fluid, but other than that there is no way for them to just check the transmission fluid level/quality. Hopefully this helps.
The transmission is sealed. There is no easy way to check the transmission fluid. You can perform a complete fluid flush but there is no dipstick. I explain this in the later part of the video
I put two gallons of 4.5 quartz transmission fluid in the gear but I makes sudden jerk sound like it enters gear 3 with force. I gets shocked because of the sudden jerk hut sound.
Mine is loosing oil between a few hundred miles. I'm thinking maybe half qt in a week or/& 250 miles. On a 2017 Santa Fe Sport. Then about 2-3qt at oil change time. Hyundai dealer maintained always
I would suggest you take your car to the dealer to have it checked out for the Engine recall issue. To see if it qualifies under it. Excessive oil consumption is one of the symptoms of the Theta II Engine recall. You can look it up on google as well.
Yup. My apologies for that. This was one of my earlier videos when I was still trying to figure out mixing video clips and syncing audio volume properly
Thanks for endless info,Jehovah richly bless you,so helpful.I have a hyundai matrix, had to remove the engine coolant tank to remove the security flap securing the battery to charge the battery. Can you please click my name to give me info how to replace the coolant, where the coolant tank and straw area of coolant fit into. Also will be extremely grateful for videos on my car type, please. No one gives such badly needed info.
If this guy is going to suggest a TRANSMISSION "FLUSH". Then ask him is he going to Pay for the Greater possibility of that TRANSMISSION slipping or completely stopping like so many have from "FLUSHING" IT???
If you read the Owner's manual, the manufacturer themselves suggest that if you drive the car under 'heavy duty' driving conditions, then you are supposed to replace by draining and replacing the transmission fluid at periodic intervals. My apologies If I caused any confusion along the lines by calling it 'flush' instead of 'drain and refill'.

What’s your advice for AWD Santa Fe? Do you recommend changing the transfer and differential oil? Is so at what intervals?
same question
Thanks for making this video! I just bought a Santa Fe 2016 and this is very helpful!

This was helpful, thanks.
Thank you! Glad you found it useful!
Awesome video!! So can I drain and fill the transmission fluid at my house or do i need the machine to do it?
You can do it at home. you'll need a jack and a few basic hand tools. I believe there are some videos on TH-cam showing you how to do it
@@VirarAutomotive thank you so much. I was worried it could only be done at the dealer. Subbed 🔥🔥
The tutorial was referenced to oils but you never mentioned Rear Differential Oil Change ?

can anyone tell me where the power steering fluid is? I have a 2019 santa fe
There is no power steering fluid for the 2019 Santa Fe. It is an electric power steering system. No power steering fluid, no power steering pump.
Much appreciated 🤗
Thank you. Glad you found it useful!
my 2015 manual says change transmision fluid 60,000 if in severe conditions. I live in hot dusty climate so I changed it at 70,000
That is correct. For severe conditions the change interval is 60000 miles.
Show where transmisom fuild goes

Best to get it checked by a mechanic.

Hi, Thank you for your message.
Unfortunately I have never worked on a Hyundai Matrix so I couldn't help you much in this regard. Sorry :(
