Can I just point out that you should NEVER top off your brake fluid unless its under minimum level(which it never should be unless there is a problem), that is very inaccurate. When your brake fluid is starting to get low, your brakes pads/shoes are getting low. The brake calipers fill with more fluid to push the piston out farther since there is less "meat" on the pads, and when the brake service is done and the caliper pistons are compressed, all of that fluid in the caliper and brake lines goes back to the reservoir, so now when the brakes on that Honda get done(the cap needs to be off the brake fluid reservoir when compressing the caliper pistons to avoid the pressure build up from harming the brake master cylinder), a nice mess will be made under the hood when it overflows out of the reservoir as the technician is completing the brake service. Just thought I'd point that out.

Wow try to scare the heck out of people that doesn’t have a clue about automobiles. Leave it to a auto parts dealer. Garages love the pet hat don’t know anything about cars. A lot of people that watches this are looking for answers to why under their oil fill cap looks a little milky? The narrator must not know. More times than not that milky oil under the fill cap is caused by the oil itself. Some oils create that milky look.? I can think of one brand that has always drawled moisture and it’s valvoline . Usually because it wasn’t serviced right. All oil’s will drawl moisture over time. Just change the oil on t As for brake fluid / clutch fluids? Don’t top them over. Low brakes fluid means. You’ve got problems elsewhere brake pads are usually the pad needed replacing. A dishonest garbage will have you change your engine over your oil drawling moisture lwhrn all you needed was to used different oil😊
Oil weight? You mean oil viscosity. The w in the oil viscosity rating such as 5w-30 stands for winter rating not weight. O'Reilly should know this by now.
Thank you, this was very helpful for me. I've been an older woman on my own for a couple of years and vehicle maintenance is not on my list of accomplishments--until now!
It bugs me to see people pouring oil with the spout on the low side. This causes the pulsing "glug-glug" pour that comes from air having to shoulder past the oil to get into the bottle. With the spout at the top it pours much smoother as the air and oil don't fight each other. This helps avoid spills. This method is usually shown in a pictogram right on the oil bottle's spout.
Honda Accord 03-07 Trans Fluid check Hot but not while engine running. Follow this videos nstructions and measurement will be high (inches!) Verify this in your manual.
All these stupid hate commenters on here, think you're all real smart, huh ---- then, tell me how to indicate if the bottle of oil that you're purchasing is most up to date.
Just had the oil changed with synthetic oil for the Toyota Prius. The issue is that the oil is virtually clear, and when I put the dipstick in to check the oil level I am unable to see what the level is. Any suggestions?
What really pisses me off is that I asked how to ad power steering fluid to a fukin 2020 Chevy Cruz and all i get is this bullshit and all about other fuking cars!!
If you’ve added oil it can show higher on the dipstick or get tossed around after it’s been running. My understanding is pull it, wipe it and reinserting it insures that you are getting an accurate reading.
If you are checking your oil first thing in the morning, there is no need to wipe. If you are checking after the vehicle has ran for some time, you wipe to remove oil that may have splashed its way higher up the dipstick.
How can I trust this video when you guys can’t even hold the oil bottle right. It’s designed to be held in the complete opposite way you are holding it. You can actually turn that container in any other direction and pour it better than you are in the video.
If you pour with the mouth at the top the way the bottle is designed the air flows smoothly and so does the oil. Even pouring from the side of the bottle makes for a better pour than what they showed.

Turn the quart over so the opening is at the top as you pour. No more glugging.
I just poke bigass holes in my containers to increase airflow. Works like a charm 👍

But where do you out the transmission fluid in? In the dipstick hole?
The reason I’m here right now 😂😂😂
What do you mean? Drain the transmission fluid? There should be a drain plug for your transmission.

When oil dipstick first is pulled out it shows the correct ammount,so why we are always told to insert it back and check again?
Anybody?
