  • Without a shadow of doubt, we have two giants for photography, however, they appear to have issues of their own and we just gotta choose which downsides are better to live with.

Portraits on Xiaomi only to be taken using 75mm. Just ignore the other focal lengths.
Move back and recompose. Never ever take a portrait on this model using other focal lengths.
    The results are incredible
    It kicks ass.

No clickbait, no bull, actually good shots and a not-too-extreme-contrast addiction- I think this is the one of, if not the most detailed phone camera comparison channels out there. It would be nice if u could print money though.

Hi, I have a question, in s23 U you can do telemacrography by 3x zoom lens and it works so well even in under 10cm distance and it's kinda weird nobody has mentioned about it! but I'm wondering if it is possible for s24 U as well or not? 🙏

I was never really a fan of Mobile Macro shots...
But, Xiaomi is something different when it comes to macro man..
If they manage to figure out the consistency, this phone might be close to a budget DSLR, an achievement which many companies tried to achieve🎉

@TheTechPhenomena I'm First , I've been watching a lot of your videos in the past couple of months ..im buying a phone on may 5 after my exams get over ..now could you tell me which is the better phone for photography between the xiaomi 14 ultra and the vivo x100 pro ? I'm really stuck between them

    • @thetechphenomena
      @thetechphenomena  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

It's a hard choice between the x100 pro n Xiaomi 14 ultra... I think Xiaomi is more stylish n has a more professional output with really good night mode but the portraits are inconsistent... The x100 pro is generally more balanced and consistent with better portrait mode... I think if u can live a little inconsistency then the Xiaomi is gonna be a pleasure to use... If not then go for the vivo

Thank you for the work you've been doing. Again, you've posted a very interesting, riveting video courtesy of your very detailed comments.
I have watched most of your videos since last January and this is the thought I've come to :
I wish mobile manufacturers dropped ultrawide sensors and too wide main sensors (25 mm should be the minimum). Indeed, how can one enjoy having a distorted subject that doesn’t look like what the photographer sees in reality. I’d much rather have only 2 or 3 or 4 “big” sensors all featuring sensor-crop, macro, portrait mode and 8K video :
½” to 1 inch sensor, 50 MP, dual pixel PDAF, 25mm or 35 mm (Who will dare?) with variable and fast aperture ( < f/1.8)
½” to 1 inch sensor, 50 MP, dual pixel PDAF, between 50mm and 75mm with variable and fast aperture ( < f/1.8)
½” to 1 inch sensor, 50 MP, dual pixel PDAF, between 75mm and 100mm with variable and fast aperture ( < f/2.0)
½” to 1 inch sensor, 50 MP, dual pixel PDAF, between 100 mm and 150mm with variable and fast aperture ( < f/2.8)
The same goes with zoom over x20 or x30 : what’s the point of having a zoom beyond 500/750mm, unless it be for a “binoculars” feature ? Mobile manufacturers should focus on image quality between x1 and x30, i.e. color consistency, color accuracy, exposure accuracy and sharpness across the different lenses.
Speaking about image quality, I also wish manufacturers gave more information about and focus on the lenses manufacturing, material and coating instead of banking on A.I..
Sensor size-wise, Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo are the closest to these wishes. Yet, I own a Samsung S24 Ultra 1Tb. Why ? First, the trade-in scheme (S23 Ultra 1Tb) during the pre-order period in France and the give-away smartwatch that I sold made the phone down to 500€. Second, a phone is not all about photography : S-pen is quite handy when editing a picture, swiping on keyboard or even surfing on the internet ; with e-sim no hassle of ordering or inserting a sim card (Vivo has e-sim too) and customization is just brilliant. Finally, global versions of Chinese phones are not always available or not easy to get and Chinese versions are a deal breaker as they don't support some of 4G and 5G from European networks.
Finally, I must say I was surprised to see the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra perform that well against the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. According to what I've seen from other TH-cam channels, Xiaomi 14 Ultra is way better in almost every scenario. One thing that would put me away from the Xiaomi 14 Ultra though is the mist that has been reported to appear behind the lenses when going through temperature variation.

Both are fairly good and give around 6.5hrs screen on time very consistently... But I HV noticed that they both tend to heat up a fair bit with prolonged camera use and the battery drain also increases... But bear in mind that my camera use is very high when I'm shooting for comparisons.

10:30 problem with Samsung is it makes things more pink orange and red than in reality. Oversharpness is another big drawback.
Contrast is subjective. It looks good in Landscapes and doesn't always look good in Human photos.
Xiaomi on the other has really good photos and some ridiculous processing. Very inconsistent.

and one more thing xiaomi has the widest ultra wide lens so details Will be less thats how ultra wide works
