Love this video! I like how you emphasize how natural the picture quality is on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Many TH-camrs don't do much photography, I've noticed they can't tell when a camera is over-processing pictures. I have had both, currently have iPhone 15 Pro also. Went back to iPhone after Samsung, nothing to do with it being Samsung as such, I think the S24 Plus may have been better match. So sent the Ultra back, not just because it's big, but it feels big. So back to iPhone 15 Pro and then that Xiaomi comes out. The specs regarding the battery are just awesome, faster charging wireless than Samsung or Apple wired. Everything in box and the pre order was great, got that stuff. But, not risking losing iPhone, I got the Xiaomi and wow. Best thing of iPhone is the watch and eco system, so I couldn't lose that. But this time, I could not return the Xiaomi, so have both. What a piece of kit.
An S23 Ultra vs S24 Ultra comparison would be cool. Comparing the old model vs the new model for iphones would probably help a lot of people. The 10X lens vs the 5X lens on samsung is a concern for me in upgrading to the S24
With the 10x zoom lens on S23U, any shot from 3.1x to 9.9x zoom will be handled by the 3x zoom lens. On the S24U, any zoom 5x and above will be handled by the 5x zoom lens. In theory, most tend to use 5-10x zoom more and thus S24U should provide better images with the 5x optical zoom. However reviews I have watched seem to show not much difference between the two.

Hey Steven, outstanding work. The Sony Xperia 1 V have Photo Pro and Cinema Pro app aims at enthusiasts like you. I would love to see you do a comparison of that vs Samsung and Iphone as well.
Samsung clearly delivers a smartphone quality photos & videos. You can tell on the results even on other reviews. Xiaomi/Leica has done a good job to deliver a Pro camera level photos on a smartphone! Once you understand what you can achieve with a real camera you can't take pictures with smartphones anymore. Good thing Xiaomi is leveling up the smartphone camera capabilities.
So, why you don't use an S10plus? I'm still using mine since 2019, 1 TB + 1TB mSD, 3.5 jack (listening to music right know on a FiiO FD5 iem). Miss the SPen from my Note3 but it's all.
My opinion is as follows: If you want to take professional photos, you won't rely on automatic settings; you’ll manually choose all the options yourself. If you want to leave it on automatic, like the vast majority of people who buy such expensive equipment, then you don't want to see shadows, dark and unreadable areas, or dark details in your photos. Therefore, I disagree with the statement that natural darkness is better. Not for me. What's the point of photos where half of the objects are hidden in shadow and lack detail? What am I really trying to show in such photos? That’s why the S24 Ultra is more user-friendly for the masses, and the X14 Ultra is more for people who have a detailed understanding of photography at a professional level. And those are less than one percent. So, for me as an amateur photographer, the S24U clearly wins, and I like the photos much more.
Xiaomi gives punchier and contrasti colour but the samsung give natural colour which helps in editing and the colour accuracy and hdr is just perfect in front camera..btw loved your videos ❤
14 ultra is the king in terms of design, photography and performance features. And we know this according to Antutu planning. I'll thinking of buying the Xiaomi 14 ultra device
Wow I saw a previous video maybe a year or 2 ago of yours, they are very good. But this time I went for the s24 ultra. I haven't been to Prague for about 12 years it's beautiful., I even found one of my images from there used on a authors book. ? She never asked permission) I let it go lol.
Very nice video and very nice approach to the subjects. It is really good to watch photo comparison from someone who knows how to shot. Congrats on your channel, I subscribe
Great vid. Thanks for this comparison. I am leaning towards the 14 ultra, but have bad experiences with software stability on Xiaomi phones (which I never experienced before with either Samsung nor OnePlus). Though I think the 14 Ultra camera would be better in my personal case (I would however not use the camera add-on), I am afraid I would not be able to get used to certain software issues or instabilities, especially when it comes to connecting to Google Car etc. I did read some stories that the 14 ultra comes with pretty much no bloatware and also no weird forced software, but still...I got a Redmi Note 11 (early 2023) as a reserve phone, but the experience with this phone has been aweful. Hence my hesitation on getting the 14 ultra. I feel that with the Samsung I would make a safer choice, but give up a bit on camera performance. I did however read that Samsung usually comes with updates that could/should improve things based on feedback? Any thoughts on that? Could you perhaps explain the following. I always use Lightroom post processing and will do the same with the phone photographs (the ones I will use for non-standard use). If I had to chose 1 of these two phones based on post processing quality, should I then definitely go for the 14 Ultra as this one has a 1" main sensor? Or would result be pretty much the same since I am the one doing the final processing....which would probably steer me towards the Samsung to be on the safe side?
Really great video, especially loved the close-up on the traffic lights, Xiaomi handled the red light so beautifully. I might need to try it for concert videos, any phone I had so far was always struggling with the recording quality in red lighting.
broo i like this video, great job, All the other TH-camrs that I have seen have compared the Xiaomi very badly, they do not analyze it in depth like you did, excellent and new subscriber, keep it up and effectively,
First time seeing this channel content. Let me tell you, this is one of the best and most detailed phone camera comparisons I ever saw. Everyone can learn from this. On the devices themselves, as someone who used every "big" brand flagship phone in past 14 years, from Xperias, to Pixels, to iPhones and whatnot, I can freely say that Xiaomi phones were some of the best I used. The problem is, people are buying marketing bullshit from big names, and brand loyalty is big part of why Apple, Samsung, Google, are hard to dethrone. General public image of Xiaomi is based mostly on budget phones, as market is flooded with those, and then people are making comparisons of these phones vs the rest of the market. However, mid to high end Xiaomi phones are awesome, but these are not that prominent on market. You have to admire Xiaomi for what they achieved in relatively short period, and I will absolutetly continue buying those, as I know I will get no compromises for the money I pay. Xiaomi 14 Ultra, here I come.
Outstanding comparison steve, very good job, and really educating your viewers. If i use my phone for photo and video and post it social media Xiaomi 14 ultra is my go to. But samsung software is very mature, and good for all activity. Thx a lot for this Steve. I hope you get that subscriber very soon, you worthed. I share this one to some platform, hope it help you a bit. Good luck. 🎉
The zooming in Xiomi can be done with 24ultra using Minitripod from some manufacturers.. I have a remote control with the mini tripod that can be used to smooth zooming . 2 of them from Ulanzi (both phone, camera, and GoPro remote), a Huawei 15 pro tripod, , with the Mantis pro 2.0 and Hohem M6 gimbal.
Got my 14 Ultra on pre-order, love it and it turn heads everywhere i brings my phone. My only gripe with the 14 Ultra is the Camera software despite it being quite amazing. For me, NO manufacturer still comes close to LG in terms of camera app. I wish there is a better way to set reset to auto in the manual mode, also FOCUS peaking, easier microphone setting, gain etc.
You know I’m relatively new to android phones, as you see, I tried xiaomi for the first time in the video and I don’t know much about vivo, so maybe I should try it as well, what’s good about it and and things I should know?
@@StevenDivish Vivo x100 pro is said to be the point and click king of Android and it's not even an Ultra phone. Portraits look really nice on the Vivo but Stevin, in my opinion, I think Vivo can come across very artificial compared to Xiaomi. Vivo automatically sets it's settings to give perfect HDR in point and click making it beginner friendly to regular people. Vivo is releasing a x100s Pro and a x100Ultra soon. My fear is by the time they release the x100Ultra, the x200 or x110 pro will release after.
Ok, lets be honest, for selfie camera, Samsung 80% - Xiaomi 20%, from main camera Xiaomi 60% - samsung 40%, from video from both side, Samsung 60% - Xiaomi 40%, zoom camera 50%-50%, in my opinion, Samsung catch more HDR photos and oversharpenend but color are more precise, xiaomi catch more overcontrast and 5 time more dramatic shots then in reality, similar like iphone, picture looks like sky is ready to drop hurricane each second, but out is just sunny day... its just trick, thats 100% i am sure is note natural like you say, like picture from buildings, where building looks like grof dracula castle and almost dark brown color, not like yellow in reality...
Finally, someone who knows photography speaking true facts about these 2 cameras. Your average person is going to drool over Samsungs sharpness and over saturated/HDR photos. Good pictures for a “phone” I can say. Xiaomi literally replicating a DSLR in a phone camera and it shows in pretty much every single shooting mode and lens, which is so impressive. The shadows, true to life color representation, how the processing handles the entire scene is actually mind blowing. I don’t think Samsung won in any instance in this review if I’m being honest. I shoot on a Sony A6700 and the Xiaomi is definitely catching my eye in every photo. Excited to get my hands on this phone and do a shootout comparison.
Props to Xiaomi for going a step further in camera development but the software issues is still there ads and stuff is still a problem if I’m getting a flagship atleast give ad free software!

The Samsung shot looks just like another phone shot, but the one on the 14 Ultra.... if you told me that the Xiaomi pic was shot with a camera on a film, i would've believed it. I can't believe a digital pic can be that good. This entire review basically made my mind - 14 Ultra it is...

Really enjoyed the video! There have been been many stories of people experiencing an issue when the Xiaomi camera lens has fogged up in certain conditions. It looks a bit cold where you filmed this, did you experience any issues with condensation in the camera lens?
I heard about this fogging just yesterday. So far I’ve been using the phone since early March almost everyday, and no problem. If this occurs, I will definitely share over here. I had lens fogging on DJI mini 3 a few years back, it happened due to rapid temp change, like going from hot weather to AC environment. But after a day it went away, but yeah, it shouldn’t happen on 1500$ phone, so I’ll keep an eye on it, hopefully I won’t face it
@@StevenDivish I really want to buy this phone, so I hope it was only a limited amount of devices that had it. I live in the UK so we are not exactly an warm climate most of the time. I think I'll take a chance and get it along with the photography kit.
You should also upload photos of both the phone , because i prefer more dull color from samsung , samsung can also make photos popup in setting but samsung has nailed it for me , specially when i see photos on bigger hdr tvs
The cam on xiaomi is good. But the body balance, battery life, slimness etc on day to day basis the S24 Ultra cannot be beaten. Add to it 7 years of software update. Samsung definitely wins.
Okay let's break it down: 1) if by slowmo you mean the thing when it adds frames in between when you hold on the screen, I have not had a need to use it in real life. this is called Optical Flow when you slowing down the footage of a video that does not have enough frames to conform to your timeline and its been around forever. In fact I have it in some of my shots in this video. But using it on a phone does not give me the results that I find acceptable to use for videos. Instead I'd rather just film in 60 fps if needed. So in this regard both phones are good. 2) Portrait video-Xiaomi def gives better results in portrait video mode in lowlight due to bigger sensor that is more sensitive to light. In day time they are similar, both equally good. 3) Processing, its personal preference, so I can speak for myself. So when editing the video I had to go through hundreds of photos comparing them side by side, and 99% of the time I chose the Leica processing over Samsung photos. Keep in mind, I do not really care about brands or which phone to use, I just like cameras in general, so if it was Samsung giving this quality, then I'd choose it. But as of right now, I like Leica Authentic more. @@BLAKEEATS1988
@@StevenDivish 1: you can actually shoot in 120 then make the adjustments in da Vince resolved you'd get a much better slow motion but if you need it on the go Samsung can shoot 4k120 slow mo so that's versatility. 2: portrait video Samsung can shot 4k30 on the front, main and 3x lens it's not just about the output its more on versatility xiaomi can't even do 4k30 portrait video on the front cam which is a bummer and the hdr on the front camera is Soo bad. 3: Leica authentics processing darkens the photo giving you the impression that it's close to the dslr look but not really, in fact when you shoot in a dslr the contrast isn't even that high it's extremely exaggerated on the xiaomi and the temperature is too warm. the shots always look moody but not realistic imo.

However reviews I have watched seem to show not much difference between the two.
impeccable quality of work........keep it going man
One of the best camera comparisons I've ever seen. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
A face off between Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Vivo X100 Pro, Oppo X7 Ultra, Samsung S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro would be a movie if done in your style.
I agree. This is what comparison should look like.
One of the most detailed reviews out there and somebody who knows how to make the most of his smartphone camera. Not to mention amazing production quality on the videos. Subscribed!
Appreciate it, man! Thanks for all the support!
I’m glad that I discovered your channel a while back. Just keep it coming. Before you know you will hit your milestone of 100K subscribers. My crystal magic ball says it is this year.
That's the plan! Thank you so much!
Let's give Caesar what's Caesar's, the S24 Ultra for its great versatility and the 14 Ultra for its true brutal photographic versatility. You just need to know what attracts you the most. For me it has always been the photo that comes out of a phone. Nice shots and well explained. Bravo !
Hey Steven, outstanding work. The Sony Xperia 1 V have Photo Pro and Cinema Pro app aims at enthusiasts like you. I would love to see you do a comparison of that vs Samsung and Iphone as well.
This video was visually stunning!
Thank you so much!
Was this comparison completed with the April 2024 update? The quality of the photos is massive on the S24 Ultra
Yes a big update is arrived on s24 ultra and the result is worst than before update....thank you Samsung 😂..check this info on google
@@hisa8620couldnt agree more. S24 ultra currently putting out so much updates that is making the phone worse and eating up so much space.
You got a sub. Great video Steve. Now I will explore other videos of yours!. Keep up and awaiting for more such videos mate.
Awesome, thank you!
Funny thing is Samsung used to have variable aperture in S10 plus but they removed it since S20 series launch and other companies are now adopting it.
true!
So, why you don't use an S10plus?
I'm still using mine since 2019, 1 TB + 1TB mSD, 3.5 jack (listening to music right know on a FiiO FD5 iem). Miss the SPen from my Note3 but it's all.
First "worth it" subscribe of 2024.
Appreciate the quality and work you put. Kudos.
Great review! You've earned a new subscriber today. Keep up the good work!
Awesome, thank you!
@@StevenDivish you're most welcome.
Xiaomi gives punchier and contrasti colour but the samsung give natural colour which helps in editing and the colour accuracy and hdr is just perfect in front camera..btw loved your videos ❤
thankyou for the free wallpaper! i love it.
Amazing comparison video as always!!
Thanks a lot for watching!
I think this is the best comparison video of the top 2 camera phones! Good job, bro.
Could you do a low light/astrophotography conparison of these 2?
@@oliverperfecto4103 thanks a lot! I’ll try to make one
14 ultra is the king in terms of design, photography and performance features. And we know this according to Antutu planning. I'll thinking of buying the Xiaomi 14 ultra device
Good luck with bugs and crappy bloated software. Well it’s your money go get it!
software is an easy fix. hardware is not.@@RexRex-tz3dv
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it.
Or would result be pretty much the same since I am the one doing the final processing....which would probably steer me towards the Samsung to be on the safe side?
your videos are full of great information! thank you
I don't know if you are Czech or if you were visiting, but your English is very impressive! Thanks for virtually taking me back to Prague!

Really great video, especially loved the close-up on the traffic lights, Xiaomi handled the red light so beautifully. I might need to try it for concert videos, any phone I had so far was always struggling with the recording quality in red lighting.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra ❤
broo i like this video, great job, All the other TH-camrs that I have seen have compared the Xiaomi very badly, they do not analyze it in depth like you did, excellent and new subscriber, keep it up and effectively,
Thanks a ton!
I love Xiaomi 🎉
Keep adding wallpaper awesome 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love from India ❤❤
I wish there is a better way to set reset to auto in the manual mode, also FOCUS peaking, easier microphone setting, gain etc.
holds on the last time i saw your videos was iphone 15 camera review and you had a 42k sub subscriber now 85k wow congrats
You can also try vivo x100 pro it is also amazing
And Oppo Find X7 Ultra
My fear is by the time they release the x100Ultra, the x200 or x110 pro will release after.
one of the best reviews on the internet. subscribed. a fan from Brunei.
Wow, thanks!
Props to Xiaomi for going a step further in camera development but the software issues is still there ads and stuff is still a problem if I’m getting a flagship atleast give ad free software!
there is no ad.. Even if it appears it's very very simple to disable them 🤷♀️
@@pravinmurthy lol, there’s ads everywhere in notifications, apps, even if you swop up from Home Screen it takes you to an ad menu 😗

Perfect review ❤
S 24 ultra is the best❤
Dude, that's the first comparison where i go like "holy cow, that 14 Ultra is a beast". Especially when compared the RAW shots of the theatre at sunset with the ultra wide and zoomed them 300%. The Samsung shot looks just like another phone shot, but the one on the 14 Ultra.... if you told me that the Xiaomi pic was shot with a camera on a film, i would've believed it. I can't believe a digital pic can be that good. This entire review basically made my mind - 14 Ultra it is...

Hey Steven, nicely done....i'm looking for a new phone mainly for the camera. I had a friend's s24 in my hand today, a great package but I think you sold me on the 14. Having owned a few Leica's in the past and love the quality of the shots, now smart phones are getting so good at photography without all the large gear to carry.... yes a serious Leica Q will put things into perspective, but as a phone.. its a great piece of tech that has me excited!
I am going to research right now if the phone is not a phone whilst having the excellent must have hand grip attached ?? great review Thank you for my new journey, Macro and Black and white here I come, although not together.....or maybe !

Can you check out the Vivo x100pro
Hi, great video! Very in depth👍
Can you tell me please what is the Xiaomi case with the orange ring around the camera array? It looks great!
Hi, thank you so much! Its just the case from Xiaomi Photography kit, the ring is interchangeable for design purposes I guess, theres also a silver ring in the box
Samsung was absolutely destroyed. it wasn't even a competition. The grain and over sharpening is something that needs to be fixed
It's worth to mention that preview on the s24 ultra before making a photo or video looks different than final result. This is a thing They should worki on. I think the author of this video may be note awarie of it.
Hands down the best comparison between Xiaomi 14 Ultra and S24 Ultra, you did a really great job, well done.
Both have pros and cons, but overall for photography I choose xiaomi 14 ultra.
clear winner for S24 Ultra ....Xiaomi photo is dull
@@SJF15did you get it?
@@StevenDivish any update on this?
@@emreo49 yeah nothing happened, all good with the phone for me
You should also upload photos of both the phone , because i prefer more dull color from samsung , samsung can also make photos popup in setting but samsung has nailed it for me , specially when i see photos on bigger hdr tvs
The cam on xiaomi is good. But the body balance, battery life, slimness etc on day to day basis the S24 Ultra cannot be beaten. Add to it 7 years of software update. Samsung definitely wins.
Xiaomi is not for beginners 🥂
Stupid take, they are both phones at the end of the day xiaomi fooled you with their marketing
Camera handle is a must, i hope they will make it to function like pro cameras and more phones adopt it. Or make a DSLR case and it would be epic.
Samsung s24 ultra flawlessly beat the Xiaomi 14 ultra
Really, are you talking about cameras? Can you explain in which scenario and if you watched the video?
@@StevenDivishslow mo, portrait video, processing.
Okay let's break it down:
1) if by slowmo you mean the thing when it adds frames in between when you hold on the screen, I have not had a need to use it in real life. this is called Optical Flow when you slowing down the footage of a video that does not have enough frames to conform to your timeline and its been around forever.
Kid trying to defend his purchase. ^
Samsung Raw is terrible
