Xiaomi

I like the x200 pro but their video stabilization is just like a 150$ dollar phone, its very bad really really bad, pls review on videography too

14 ultra is better

I own a Sony a7iii, a ZV-e10 and an RX100V and last week I recieved my Xiaomi 14 Ultra (ordered from Tradingschenzen) and the photos are comparable to the compact RX100M5 in most scenarios. Even the raw files seem to be editing the same way, maybe due to the fact that Sony makes all of the sensors but it still has a somewhat unique look that's captured ONLY with dedicated cameras. As a photographer I appreciate that very much. In auto mode I use both Vibrant and Authentic, depending on the situation. When I take photos of friends and family I use vibrant. When I wanna take a quick snap of something cool I use Authentic or shoot in RAW.

I go for Xiaomi

I don't know if they really changed the hardware ois or is just the software issue on global version but the stabilization on chinese version is much better than on the global version.

I'm a semi professional photographer (not my main job but I still have clients), I own 2 Sony full frame cameras so I know how photos should look and from what I see the Xiaomi has better calibration most of the time. The overexposed highlights are actually exactly what us photographers want in out photos, especially wedding shots when white has to really shine. I purposely overexpose the sky and avoid HDR looks in photos because it gives them a dreamy look. I really like what the Xiaomi does and I actually bought one last month. So far it's been amazing, the shots produced by this phone rival digital point and shoot cameras and the focal ranges are huge for a phone. Sure, it suffers in low light, but overall I'm amazed by what this phone does. Also none of the selfies from Vivo look good, just my opinion

Thanks bro. I was thinking of buying this fraud of a phone and you opened my eyes. F*ck vivo thinking they could get away with removing the 1-inch sensor and giving much worse videography from the previous gen

would have liked to see more low light videos instead of mostly focusing on daylight for stabilisation...

damn seeing this on x200 pro, i'm really depressed haha, although most of the videos i make are keeping the camera still but this breaks my heart given i upgraded after 5 years from huawei p30 pro..

One observation - When you walk with Xiaomi phone camera it does not do the "Tuwink tuwink tuwink tuwink" bounce. It goes smoother than Vivo.

You should split video into chapters so youtube will make it more views

Great video, you're one of the best. But I do think you missed some things: - in the slo-mo comparison, you didn't mention that the Xiaomi can do 1920fps at 1080p. Video quality is not perfect and doesn't really look like 1080p, but still very cool and one of the best slowmotion implementations imo. - In the night video comparison, I feel like you should've compared them both in normal video mode. The night video mode on Xiaomi is not any better than the normal video mode and perhaps even a bit worse, as I think(?) that the digital image stabilization (EIS) is disabled during that mode.

Without any movemebt which would you say is better video wise

hey @thetechphenomena :) I'm currently on the hunt for the best camera smartphone money can buy. My trusty Pixel 6 is dying, so need replacement. Since you tested all the candidates i have in mind (Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Vivo X200, Oppo Find X8 Pro), maybe you can tell me which one pulls ahead in your opinion. I shoot pretty much everything, Architechture, Landscape, my 2 daughters playing (also at low light in indoor playgrounds), Street Photography at night, and i love taking cool macros. All 3 have their strengths and weaknesses, but there has to be one that stands out from the crowd - but which one is it?

You don't need those color lens in your eyes because people know you can't have eyes like that you're a tech TH-camr so be yourself and don't fuckin try to be a fashion super model baby girl .

When I saw this video I just go and record some video by x200 pro and I do not know what phone you have because the recording in 60 and 60 with Dolby is very good. I got scared when I saw.

It's strange that the Xiaomi's 3.2x optical zoom doesn't provide as sharp footage as its 5x optical zoom. Both sensors are the same size and the 3.2x optical zoom lens has even a faster aperture than the 5x optical zoom lens. Are they the same sensors ?

Are you aware of the ultra stabilisation mode in vivo and did you try using it? I didn't hear you mention anything about that.

Video quality goes to Xiaomi as it's clearly much better and sharper. 10/10 I personally think Vivo is overrated in some areas but both have cons and pros. Kind Regards from Torquay in England 🇬🇧

The stabilization on the Vivo X200 Pro is simply not acceptable on a flagship device. To shoot virtually unusable footage at 4K60 is a massive deal breaker. Now I understand why reviewers cannot recommend this device for videography. Such a shame, as it's photographic abilities are quite superb in many scenarios.

Vivo is only better at long distance Zoom, and even then, you can tell it's digital and therefore unusable. I never go beyond optical Zoom. I think the Pixel is much better, and with video boost even more.

I own the Pixel 9 Pro XL and from what I have seen so far of the Vivo x200 Pro is that the Vivo is better in many areas of photography except for the wide angle sensor (the Pixel's sensor is much larger), the front camera ( the Pixel has a much wider view and the quality of it much larger sensor is much better) and the overall 'usability' (I seem to have become addicted to the Pixel's powerful face unlock). For these 3 reasons I am going to wait for the Vivo Ultra version hoping it will be getting a Global Rom version as I must be able to use Android Auto, goggle wallet,etc. If not then my hopes are the Pixel 10 Pro will hopefully catch up on the Vivo x200 Pro. Also ashame that no youtuber so far has given any attention to some special camera features and are always focusing on standard features. As an example the Pixel is able to take stunning HANDHELD long exposure pictures (eg from waterfalls, fireworks,...). Can the Vivo do that as good handheld??

I'm not a fan of any camera that has green/too yellowish tints in golden hour skies. That ruins the color richness and gradation.

How is Huawei p70 pro doing in comparison to these two?
