    On my Xperia 1V I have the exposure set to -0.7 by default, otherwise almost all shots come out overexposed. It's so weird that Sony is incapable of fixing this issue

    • @deadworms
      @deadworms 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      the overexposure is caused by the face/eye AF. It tends to expose the face of the subject when it detects one. Face/eye AF prioritizes exposure on the face and just ignore everything else. Turn it off and the results are different. Sony's maybe thinking that everyone shoots in raw and process the image later. 😂

Also you barely talked about the Macro mode, there's a big difference between the both of them, one is with the Ultrawide and the other with the Telephoto. A 1.5 TB micro SD card slot. 4. A physical sim slot as well as e-sim. 4. No notch or camera hole on the screen which is a stunning display, arguably the best smartphone for watching a movie on. 5. 2 forward facing speakers. 6. i have been an xperia user for last 6 years. One thing i can tell you guys. With the iphones and samsungs and other phones, the phone decides how the pictures will be and you pretty much cannot do anything to make it the way you want it to look. Whereas In the sony YOU choose how you want it to look. Sony is for the person who knows what exactly their pictures should look like. All the other phones are for people who don't mind the phone controlling their pictures' looks as long as the user looks good in the pictures. It is like choosing to make a home cooked meal where each and every ingredient is chosen by you, vs eating at a restaurant. There is no way someone doesn't like how restaurant food tastes. But sure one can mess up a home cooked meal.

If you're talking about some level of processing, then it is very debatable. Because then even if you're shouting film, the chemicals in the film and the processing method will determine how the prints will turn out. So no matter what camera you use. Each and every camera "processes" the look and can never exactly reproduce the real scene.

    What do u mean over exposed? Well dunno what u r seeing but Sony makes the best cameras therefore Samsung has no chance: u can compare both phones in other aspects but on cameras? Forget it. Just like comparing a MB c-class to a Lexus IS naa

    Wow, is this the first time you take photos and videos, and how much did Samsung pay? For a start, why didn't you adjust exposure, why is overexposed better than natural (and when you claim Galaxy for being more 'natural', you gives point although its got dark shadows), and why didn't you use the telemacro mode on Xperia? Ob of the worst 'comparisons' ever...

    Unfair competition. 😂😂.. Ai camera from samsung vs Real Camera System from Sony. If you compare the camera make sure to compare every capabilities like the PRO mode. Also when it comes to zoom, sony only uses 7.5x at its best because we all know samsung uses ai to every lenses for zooming 😂 better not compare it.

    You guys n gals did this review a little too soon. The new Xperia 1 VI isn't finished. The Camera app is new and still unfinished and the 3 pro apps from the mark V are not yet ported over to the mark VI. There is an anticipated major firmware update coming this month or soon thereafter which will bring the pro features to the new Camera app or will port the previous pro apps to the new phone. i would revisit this test after that update. I bet most of the issues will be gone. The mark V is still a better stills photography shooter than the mark 6 in many ways because of this. It'll be here soon.

    The over exposure on the Sony is not really acceptable considering it's price; but can the exposure be manually changed even when in auto mode?. I can do this on my S23 Ultra, and this ability is invaluable to me when shooting video outdoors especially.

    i think a software update can fix the white balance and exposure compensation metrics......this time sony had touted a better improved telephoto lens from 85 to 170 mm but i think it needs more improvement and sharpening....the audio also got a boost but slightly pales in comparison with the galaxy......nice work.....👍

    Weird they didn't say anything about Xperia 1 VI's Telezoom Macro. It blows all the competition out of the water.
    Still, as others also say - the Sony is better for the people leaning towards photography.- I sold my S24 Ultra to get the Xperia 1 VI, and I haven't regret it. I love the Samsung, but as a wannabe photographer, there is just more that I appreciate with the Sony. First, and most easily, the dedicated proper shutterbutten. You half-press it to focus, and then complete-press it to shoot. I love that. And of course it's auto-focus capabilities is beyond compare.

    the overexposure is caused by the face/eye AF. It tends to expose the face of the subject when it detects one. Face/eye AF prioritizes exposure on the face and just ignore everything else. Turn it off and the results are different. Sony's maybe thinking that everyone shoots in raw and process the image later. 😂

    One thing I noticed about this channel is that they occasionally missed out on several important phone features from their deduction...and I have watched a few. But I get it, Samsung won at run and gun scenarios. If people wanted to justify fiddling manual settings like iso shutter speeds, strapping on an ND filter then why bother, just get an actual camera. Samsung won this round. Out of all Android manufacturer, Samsung IMHO have the best software optimisation/features second to iPhones.
