    I’m old school, we always parked cars in gear when I was growing up. I guess old habits die hard because I still do it regardless of where I park. Great vid and good info.

    Happened to me as well. The hand brake seems to have some issues holding friction. Always parking in first gear since then.
    Usually i dont do that, because if the car gets hit by another car during parking it might damage the gearbox, while usually just the hand brake is sufficient.

    When you park a manual transmission car always place the shifter into reverse. Always turn the wheels toward a safe direction.

      Use the parking brake & put the car in 1st or reverse gear to be safe. 2nd gear might not be enough to stop a roll. Agree with reverse gear. If its a big hill you might also want to point the front wheels to the curb.
