  • Attention if you are pregnant and live in California, New York, or New Jersey!
You can go on leave four weeks before your due date and get paid and it does NOT affect your paid time off after you deliver.
This is a “use it or lose it” benefit. If you don’t use those four weeks before your due date, you lose access to them and cannot apply that paid time off at any other point in your postpartum journey.
In addition to taking up to four weeks off before your due date, you’ll also receive at least six weeks off after you deliver your baby if you have a vaginal delivery or eight weeks if you have a c-section.
Then, you can take 12 more weeks off. If you live in NJ or NY all 12 of these weeks are paid. If you live in CA, eight of these weeks are paid.
It’s confusing, I know. That’s why I’m here to help. You can always book a call and we’ll walk through your specific situation.
But don’t forget you can go on leave as early as 36 weeks pregnant even if you have a total healthy pregnancy with no complications. I don’t want you to miss out on this paid time off!
