9 states and Washington DC currently offer paid family leave:
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Washington and the District of Columbia.
Delaware, Maryland, Maine, and Minnesota are also in the list but you won’t be eligible to actually start cashing in on your benefits for a while.
