If you have the RF 9.5s flight sim by HH and your controller won't work on your laptop or computer, here's the fix. Buy a Powered USB Hub Port. After plugging it into the wall, and plugging the USB lead into your USB port on your laptop or computer, then plug your controller into the Powered USB port. Yahoo, it works. $21 inconvenience. Amazon saved the day.

BD: i just wanted to check in, & let you know, i finally got my NX10! About a month ago. (MY Christmas present to ME! 😁). Idk how in the world flyers can not get the nx10! 🤯 Absolutely amazing transmitter! & The gimbals are so ridiculously smooooooooth!

Sir, thank you for this video. I have been struggling with a decision to buy this software (and a PC, since I only have Mac's), this video has helped me. One question I don't see addressed is, if one chooses to use the USB dongle (WS2000 I believe) instead of the cable, how does that change the step where the transmitter is connected to the computer? I have a DX9 and a brand new NX10se. Thank you! Dale Z

I wondered about dual and expo. Planes in RF look bigger and clearer in these videos on my iPad mini in just a window than they do on my desktop.

Great video, how ever, if you fly helicopters as well I assume you have to set your a separate ‘model’ for that

My Real Flight Evolution Simulator worked fine until I updated the software. I lost my Real Flight Model information. I re-entered the model and attempted to calibrate the controller. All of the blue bars show 100% and do not adjust at all. The finish bar is not highlighted and all I can do is hit cancel. Also for what it is worth the tool bar will appear when loading Real Flight, but then disappears.
Okay, figured it out. Latest update is flawed. I had to roll back the update to the previous one. Also can not be done with WiFi. Had to use an SD card.
Can you please do a set up for Helicopters on NX10 and Realflight 9.5
You can use this setup on helicopter as well. Idle up is on A and Throttle Cut it on H.
I have the same request. For a helicopter setup. I'm not sure what you mean in your reply to the other guy.
Great Video! If we want to connect wirelessly using the WS2000 dongle, how is that setup? I know in that case that the RF would be on but being wireless is nice. Maybe do a video on this setup?
Same process. Only difference is binding the dongle and transmitter together. Also,correct wouldnt go to controller mode.
& remember to hold (the dongle) bind button as ur plugging it into the usb port. 👍 (For ppl that don't know)

Hello BD , i did everything needed in the setup.I have an NX8 and RF Evolution and it always says theres no controller set up. Please can you help me i'm really fed up with this .
Does windows recognize the radio plugged in? (chime sound) Which option have you selected in RF Evo for controller selection?

Hi BD. I set up my NX10 using the USB connection. Works great except I only get flaps up and landing flaps. No takeoff flaps. Has anyone else solved this one? I have tried it on several different planes so not sure what is causing it.
I had it happen once before. It showed up when i deleted my template and made a new one for realflight. Seems like a recalibrated or just open/closed several times and started working again.

Question, Everything was working just fine, now when I try to fly in 9,5s my Elevator switch is wrong, I think I've tried everything.. It works fine with the Evalution planes, just not with 9,5s.

Any particular reason you need to make a new model template for RealFlight? Or can I just use the models I already have on my NX10 for RealFlight, and just switch models when I want to fly a different plane? That way I don't have to reprogram it every time I fly a different plane that has different mixes, throws, flaps, gear, etc
New model isnt needed. One model can fly most planes on real flight so constant changes arent needed. Also i dont want to change settings on models for my actual planes.
@@BDTennessee oh yeah, I would have a separate template so I could fly any planes on the sim that I don't already own without affecting my settings, but whenever I want to practice with a plane I already own using the sim, I could just use my existing model file on the transmitter so it's already set up exactly like my actual rc plane from the get go without ever having to change my settings. And if I want to experiment with new settings on the sim, I could always just go to my dedicated sim model template

Great video, I’m a newbie to the nx10 and really struggling to get mapping and switch’s setup for heli with throttle hold, panic, and mode switch. I was under the impression that the model files would match up with real flight controls, totally not the case. Do you have a pdf of your channel and switch settings? Any help would be appreciated . Been trying to get this working for almost a week and I’m way over my head . Baffled by the lake off information on this topic
I dont have a pdf. One step at a time through the video and you will have it correct.
I'm using RF Evolution. Following your directions, I was successful with the set up; except the function button doesn't reset the airplane on the simulator. The only way I've found to reset after a crash is to close RF Evolution and start over. Do you have any advice?
NX doesnt have a reset button like the interlink controller. Push spacebar on keyboard will reset the plane.
hey, great video, i just wanted to ask if you have a solution to my problem. i have an NX8, and whenever i try to connect it and make it work the throttle doesnt work in mode 2, no matter what settings i use, and then the flight sim registers a different channel like a switch as the throttle and i dont know what to do. it picks up all the other signals, just not the y axis for the throttle stick

Did you go into Aircraft type,select 1 Ail 1 Flap? Also need to assign a switch in the Flap Menu.
Pros and Cons? The older system I had, I sold after a year or so. If I understand you can't resell it? Or can not even put on another pc that I have? Why do some not like steam? But prefer the disc. Thinking about getting 9.5s or 9.5 version
What's the difference between the 9.5 and the 9? Is it because one has a disc upload and the other is downloaded from Steam?
Newer version with more planes. 9.5S is steam version now...

Help please! I have nx10, My ailerons and electors are way too sensitive in the simulator, and I did put my d
to 100% and no sub trim and travel adjustments. But it still doesn’t work, what should I do please? Also the simulator just can’t detect my channels to assign sometimes.
You need to adjust dual rates to lower percentages. Assign them on switch or switches. Follow video step by step and you will have everything set.
@@BDTennessee Thanks for respond, but I found it actually seems like a bug between the transmitter and steam controller system. After I disable the steam control and reconnect by USB each time I play the simulator, it backs to normal.
@@zhaodaliu6709 Copy! I would try reinstall software or drivers (radio). You should be able to leave transmitter plugged in/power it up and start steam without issue.

If you use a dongle to connect instead of the USB will the settings still work?
Yes.Dont use "Controller mode" cause you will bind to the dongle.
Is this the same on a dx8
DX8 has to be connected with the usb dongle. (Part#SPMWS2000)

I can't get the z axis to work for flaps. I have the NX6 and set it up as shown in your video except I use D for the Aux2 so the calibration program sees that flap switch D. The problem is that the flaps are always extended on flap models and switch D does not do anything even though it appeared to calibrate OK. Any idea what I need to do to get this to work. I tried using switch C like you did in the video but then the calibration doesn't work (cycling the D switch does nothing).
My flaps are on D switch as well. Flaps should be setup through Channel 6 (aux1).
@@BDTennessee I feel silly now, I didn't enable the flap system at all. Doh!!! It works perfectly now.

I would for sure.Especially for 3D so you can learn orientation and build muscle memory when hovering or general 3d flying.

@@jasegazzard3743 Download steam, RealFlight 9.5S and install. Its a digital download so you download and install without disc drive :)

As a newby well this is not a good guide. Throttle cut mate, you just blew straight over it! What settings are good. So many grey areas that i guess you need experience doing this before doing it. You see what i mean.
One of the first videos on my channel is how to setup "airplane without a template" which includes throttle cut.
Settings can be adjusted by the user unlimited and anytime when using the sim like actual models. Set them up based upon preference of actual model or you flown. Start out by using Low 70 mid 85 and high 100 for all surface controls,if you want a baseline of values.
Purpose of this video is getting setup correctly and everything to work as intended on real model. Every step is explained from start to finish. Setting up a model can be learned by the video i previously mentioned.
@@BDTennessee Yeah right. Spektrum are mental. The flap setting is backwards. To have the flaps off is 100%. That's so stupid and they would fail any mech aptitude. If the flaps are level with the wings there is zero deflection, so they would be closed. Also how do i get the Turbo Timber Evo in the TX plane menu? It's not there and i've done the firmware update. Spektrum have ruined my RC plane experience. About ready to return the lot. Thanks for nothing Spooktrum. Where's your customer support number?!
@@vertigo4ubob704 each manufacture has different ways of doing stuff.Most of them flaps up are 100% value,some negative and some positive. 100% is on both ends and just means end of servo range which would be flaps up ,is why its that way.
Not all the planes are on the built in template list.Which i cover in video mentioned before too.One reason why i made the tutorial without template. Most eflite planes have very similar setup and easy instructions in owners manual for each model.
Sorry to hear starting out in hobby you have difficult time.However getting on here,blasting small things that have been addressed and not asking directly for help isnt a solution. I spend plenty of time with viewers,FB post and forums helping. Which i dont mind but this isnt the route.
