    really informative video!!!...I have often thought about how nice it would be to have brakes to help get me stopped when landing a little farther down field than planed...I can envision that in the RC future , wheel brakes will become standard on most tri-gear models...thanks again for showing this great " how to " video.....

      Thanks Gary! Brakes work good for sure! Adds some weight so light weight models may not be as ideal. Cost can be a factor too. However big birds its worth it :)

    BD,
    Excellent video, as are all of your videos. You are a lifesaver on this topic, in particular.
    There is not much information out there (Internet, forums, publications, etc.) regarding RC aero electric brake systems. Even less, to absolutely NO, comprehensive information on transmitter/receiver programming, not even from the manufacturers. So thank you very much for the great video.
    Couple points of clarification:
    I assume that you are using JP brakes with the JP Controller. This controller has resistor pots for adjusting right and left wheel braking pressure providing a straight stop on rollout.
    As for your tutorial, once again great job! I wanted to point out, specific to my Spektrum NX10, an additional programming step, I discovered, that I found important. I will review and explain in the next three steps.
    1. Go to: "System Setup" > "Channel Assign" > "Channel Input Config" screen
    2. Set channel eight (8) to "8 Aux3: Ele" as you have instructed.
    3. Next step is to is to select the "NEXT" screen (lower right corner of this screen's display). This takes you to the "Rx Port Assignments" screen. Make sure the "8 AUX:" field is set to "Aux 3".
    Just learning the system but I made this settings mistake and thought I would point it out for consideration.
    Thanks again Frank...

      JP controller wasnt used.Connected straight to receiver. In the video i didnt mention RX port assignment cause Aux3 is defaulted to Channel 8.
      Frank, thank you so much for the kind words!

      @@BDTennessee So right and left electric brake leads are connected directly to Aux3 (Channel 8) with a Y-Harness?

    Have you ever tried to setup a "Parking Brake" function? I'd like my brakes to be active when starting, but need my hands free.

    • @BDTennessee
      @BDTennessee  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Setup this way or a switch to flip off with opposite side of throttle. Another option is "I button"

    BD:
    Do YOU have/know how to put SAFE into a NEW reciever? Until the other day, i thot ALL NEW rx's had safe programmed in from factory. Buddy bought an off the shelf ar631. Safe does the 'double dance', but no safe nor as3x.

    • @BDTennessee
      @BDTennessee  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to go through "first time setup". Until then its a normal receiver. You can follow the AR10360T first time setup tutorial i made.

    Thanks for the info video BD! Does a Xicoy Brake controller to literally the same with proportional pressure for the brakes? It seems with your setup, there is no need for an additional controller

    I did what this video said but when I toggle switch A it does not move the screen on the mix. I mixed AX3-AX3. The brakes will work as the video said but when I put the first rate to -100 and then offset the same the braking is gone. I am using an NX10.
