Everyone else's town seems so big but mine feels SO tiny and I can never find space to put anything. 😕

Ainsley Karevicius Every town is the same size, however, the ground layout for everything may make your town feel small, for example, I have a huge perfect fruit farm that I don't use. I also have a tiny part of town separated by the river, and that makes the town feel small, and I never know where to put anything.
Yes! thats exactly my problem. that and the way all the buildings are i cant make anything symmetrical and it drives me crazy but ive come too far to restart so im screwed.

I do admit that the idea of villagers suggesting public works projects is a good idea. It gets them more involved in the designing of your town. However, the developer who felt like the police station should be a random suggestion is a complete idiot. That particular public works project should have had a quest or something to unlock it instead as it has an actual effect on the gameplay.
Maybe buying x amount of forged paintings could get a villager or two talking about how the town should have better security to force out conanimals and then they get a lightbulb and come up with the idea of a police station. Voila! Much better way of unlocking it.

a quick explanation
1. Get a swimsuit
2. Fill ur inventory with flowers or coins anything villagers can’t buy or ask from you
3. Jump into the ocean after wearing ur swim suit
4. Go to the corner of the ocean
5. Wait there for 5-10 minuites
6. Go to ur town
7. Walk infront of your villagers
8. And see if they ping and you might get a pwp

I get about one a day, recently I have got ones I want without even trying! Now that I've had most of them suggested to me, the game is running out of options, meaning it will get. The projects I want easier now

I wish there was a dialogue option where they could either say they have an idea or dont know
they could’ve just put all of the projects when you got them
But the game will be easy, and some players might feel like it takes no effort, just my opinion

I think the best way to do this is to do the wetsuit thing, and also just fill your inventory with bell bags. No one can ask you for things, and no one can give you things or buy stuff off you if you only have bells in your inventory.
One of the videos I watched did it with flowers, since no one wants them and you can't carry anything more
I just trap my villagers in hole and then go to the beach and chill there out of sight. It saves you the wet suit.
Not trapping them causes too many conversations, so you should do that either way.
You can only get one ping at once.

You can get multiple pwps' a day. One time I got 3 in 30 minutes.

AAG Ventus mine do that too, i think it’s because of the types of villagers that are pinging you, they will suggest certain things based on their type so you may have already unlocked everything for that type of villager

all my villagers just ask to visit my house and for me to get something for them
Fill your inventory with 100 bells but have no money in your actual money area in your pockets. Then the villager can only either give you a PWP, give you a nickname or ask for a catchphrase/greeting. When I did it that way I got a PWP request first time :)

I'm not even getting any pings I've been in the water like 5 times now for 8 minutes each and no one will even ping, not a single time.
+Kassidy McLain Talk to them, if you spent too much time trying they'll tell you to take a break.
You also only get one ping per try. Once one villager pings that's all you get for that time.

Im having so much trouble getting a fairy tale bridge... i have a peppy villager but she hasn't requested anything yet... grrr so frustrating :(
Actually this method works better for me when I fill my pockets with bells instead of keeping them empty because villagers can't buy bells OR sell you their things because your pockets are full of bells. Thanks for the tutorial though!
He does say in the video that you should fill your pockets with flowers because villigers can't buy them. Bells work too I suppose.
*Thank you so much!* For me personally I tried this trick one time and it worked first try!
It helps if you completely fill your pockets with flowers, so then villagers can't try to give or trade items with you when you get pinged, since villagers won't want to take flowers from you. Also, note that you can only get one PWP request per day, and you also can only get one specific request per day (as in the request you will get is decided at 6 am like all the other day values). Once you get a request you can move onto the next day and hope you get what you're looking for.
Best way to do this is to fill your pockets with money bags. That way they can't GIVE you items and they cant BUY items that you don't have. That leaves, 'New Greeting/Catchphrase' 'Moving away' or 'PWP.'

I JUST emptied all of my pockets and not even three mins of walking around my town in my wetsuit, Paula asked me to commission a Wisteria Trellis. I didn't even jump in the water and do the time thingy. Talk about luck, haha. xD

3 years late but I had a thought: if you were to fill your pockets with items villagers wouldn't ask for, this would certainly increase your chance of getting a PWP request, since they can no longer give you items? However, I'm not sure a) which items villagers won't ask for (I'm thinking tools obv, but what about stationary? wrapping paper? flowers?)
and b) if having a full inventory will even stop them from trying to throw their junk at you. Hmmm.

Every time I did that I got a pwp request 1st try, but when a villager requests something I do it first and then after the request is completed I move on to the next one

I love your town. Its so beautiful. I'll give this a try and see if it works. I'm trying to get fairytale theme projects but I can only get it from normal villagers and I only have one which sucks. Hopefully I can get some and make my town more pretty. :)

Awesome video New sub! =) I think being friendly to the neighbors also helps especially if they become your best or close friends. I just started playing a few days i have to restart because these two new villagers moved in the worst place. One of them in front and the other on the side, the one on the side ruin my new planted hybrid flowers..I watched your video on how to choose where your villagers moved I'm going try that method. Thank you!
batselier bryan you have to have the museum second floor and after about a week of doing that you will get the cafe

I just did it for the first time and deli pinged me and said some bs about having a secret code and then it was just changing the catchphrase. I'm staying underwater for 15 mins and I'll see what happens

yeah I learned that the hard way you just have to get used to walking. it takes awhile but you'll get used to it. its worth it if you don't want dirt in your town!

in case anyone is wondering, you actually can get 1 request per day. I once got a request for 3 days in a row without even doing this .
the best way to do this is fill up your pockets with flowers so theres no way they can give or sell u anyting and they wont buy flowers so it limits there options. they might still ask to arrange a time to visit your house but hey, no unwanted furniture :)

I tried the above method but all the villagers only ask me stupid questions and whatnot. None of them suggest any pwp and tbh it's kind of frustrating
