everyone goal in animal crossing new leaf: get the perfect town.
My goal: make everyone's catchphrase be bazinga

I had a perfect town... once. I let my brother play, and said he could keep my game. He misunderstood and thought I meant forever. So he made his own town. When I saw him playing, I asked where my town was. He said he deleted it, and apologized. A LOT. I laughed it off, but I really wanted to cry. I JUST GOT PERFECT TOWN ;-; . I have a new town now, and it's progressing well.
Oh gosh >.< Sometimes it's annoying how only one town can be saved to each game!

Yeah, I know they're aren't weeds, but they don't look good with my town so I always pick them.
I think she ment 4 leaf clovers as in the ones that you pick up and you can place in your house, wear as decorative item, etc. Normal clovers do count as weeds
esme normal clovers don’t, when you do leifs weed picking clovers don’t count towards it.

-Got addicted and played every day for maybe 100 days
-Didn’t look up anything except a furniture list that I printed so I could highlight all the furniture I owned
-Stopped playing because I left the game at home when I went to Europe for 3 weeks and was depressed

My mom has only been playing on acnl for half a year and she has the golden watering can.... I HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR 5 YEARS AND I STILL DONT HAVE THE GOLDEN WATERING CAN!!!!

+JobeMinacum I've seen perfect towns with one of those items that might negatively effect it before, but some more work might need to go into the town to get the perfect town with a trash can :P
Thanks to your advice, today when I turned ACNL on I had a jacob's ladder growing near my cliff! Unfortunately I couldn't go to Isabelle because it was Earth day. ;(

If you talk to Isabelle there is a chance of her saying “_______ is the best town EVER! Let’s ensure that _____ is a clean place to live!”
Or something like that.
The flower ONLY spawns if you got a perfect town (or if a friend gave you one)
Great video as ever Crystal! You forgot to mention you HAVE to talk to Isabel for all 15 days so you can not get the perfect town and don't play for 15 days to get the watering can.

I think they mean that you can't go a day within those 15 days without playing for a least a few minutes.
I just skipped the days. Barely any weeds cuz that one nature thing. Got the gold can. Your argument is invalid

Hilariously, I actually got Perfect Town without even trying to. I just randomly noticed Jacob's Ladders growing one day and I was like "Huh, that's neat :o"
Even then, I didn't realize what it meant until I looked up if they could breed into different colors.
After two years of playing,I just found out what a perfect town is and after a few days,I got the perfect town! Thank you 😊

I have around 12 public works projects, no trash or items on the ground, no weeds, EXACTLY 200 trees, I write lots of letters, but STILL,

I started my town in December and started getting Jacob's Ladder flowers a few days ago. I didn't even know that I meant I had a perfect town until I watched this! I didn't even know what a perfect town was so I clicked this video and found out that my town was perfect!! Thanks!!

It seems that sown(my town) is starting to gain some attention as a popular sightseeing destination.
I hope they continue to work hard to really keep revitalising this town! Eek eek!
The survey also says sown has good balance between natural areas and developed areas.
However, citiezens think the town still feels a bit barren overall, an additional development is desired
They’d like to see you dedicate more time on public work projects ( I have 13 public work projects )
What do I do to make my town better and perfect.
Ace is werid bamboo and paths don't count toward the perfect town.

I followed this tutorial and suddenly found a Jacob’s latter plant days later and sprinted straight to town hall! Thanks this was a great help!

Ok but like what about the rest of us that cant afford a switch so they went back to their DS's for New Leaf but nothings new so they recreated their world only to regret it but their also lowkey happy they did it but now they dont have anything but it doesn't matter because things are the exact same as when their 10 year old self left it 4 years ago so now this small minority of people are just sad.

I'd like to add that your public projects have to be everywhere in your town. If not, Isabelle will say you that some part of the city are not good enough. I just add a bench in a corner where I kept my plants and the day after my city was perfect !

I have ten public works projects! Why dose my Isabelle still say it is underdeveloped!?!?!?!?!?
Unless all 10 contribute a MASSIVE amount to your town, you have to keep building more until greenery becomes the issue
Saaaame I have so many but Isabel always complains about it being underdeveloped when I have one of the most developed towns I’ve seen

Getting perfect town is easy in New Leaf compared to Wild World. Still to this day can't do it for that game.

Try placing down lots of flowers, if she still says the same thing the next day then put down lots of trees.

When I first played NH and PC only, I was impressed with this, but now that I’ve played NL as well, I’m super impressed.
My town has become really clutered? Where do i start?
Try searching for weeds around your town and maybe start cutting down some trees and getting rid of flowers, if PWPs (public work projects) are part of the problem, consider removing some.
Hmmm I can help you out with this you start picking out your garage or weeds but got a tip for you go the re tail that will increase to get the perfect town

How many trees, weeds, and flowers do you have?
You need 110-200 (I think) for trees
Less than 10 weeds, or none at all
Also 75 flowers is what you need
It seems you have more than 10 public work projects so you're fine on that.
PWP's that have illumination like the street lamp, can prevent you from a perfect town

Yes they do!! I can answer with 100% certainty, they sadly do. I like decorating my town with them and lost my perfect town status until I picked most of them up.
Yep, the day after I watched this I got the perfect town. I already had a few public works, I just planted a bunch of trees and got a bunch of flowers from the island and then had the perfect town :) woo!

This video is super helpful! But I have three quick ish questions. I’ve been trying to get the perfect town, and for a while, even with 10 public works projects in town, plenty of flowers, being in the proper range of trees, and having no weeds, I wasn’t getting true perfect town naming or being given the golden watering can for well over 15 days. I have two ideas of why maybe I wasn’t getting a perfect town and the golden watering can from Isabelle. My first questions is, does leaving furniture and stuff on the ground count as trash? Because I usually don’t leave my stuff on the ground, but recently I made a new character, and I’ve been sharing my stuff and having her share her stuff by leaving it on the ground in front of one of the houses, saving it like that, and then picking it up once I switch persons. I was wondering if that counts as leaving trash on the group and brings my town grades down even if I pick it up after. The other question is, does money count as leaving trash on the group? Because another thing I was thinking of that might be keeping me from a perfect town is leaving money on the ground. I’ve done this of course when sharing things with my new character as I said before, and when I get my rock money. I don’t leave it for long with either, but I’m still wondering if sharing money like that or rock money might count. I’m mostly scared that rock money counts since that means no rock money for 15 days, but I guess it’s worth it for a perfect town and golden watering can.😂🤣 My last question is, how do you know when your 15 days of having a perfect town begin? What does Isabelle say when you are at that point? Because although I could tell that her “speech” I guess you can call it became shorter and sounded more like I was getting close when I had most if not all the requirements, I still didn’t see much of a difference from day to day after that. Sorry that was so long, but I’ve been really confused about what to do. This video definitely helped A LOT though. Thank you so much!☺️

On my beach, I'm putting a boardwalk with lots of palm trees on the side.
I just wanted to add since you said fruit isn't considered trash; baskets of fruit however are considered trash. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why Isabelle kept telling me I had trash all around my town. Once I picked up my fruit baskets is when I finally got a perfect town.
