So I was playing around with my game and finding a way to get my villagers to move out the fastest, and I found one!
This is 100% effective, I’ve tried it multiple times on multiple villagers.
First, find the villager you’re trying to move out, and talk to them until they say they have to remember something or they are “thinking”.
Save and quit, and time travel two days forward.
Find that same villager, and walk/run past them, they WILL ping you, and it WILL be about moving.
I guarantee this works 100%. Though, it make take two tries in the most, because they might not decide to move after all.

In "Welcome Amibo", you can find a magic lamp and scan in your favorite amibo. Once you do, they ask if you want an item or if you want them to move to town. If there's not enough vacancies, you can make someone leave. Cycle through the options until you find the person you want to move out. And boom, you're done!

I have Genji in my town, but my law about who is allowed to stay in this town is: Be pretty + Be nice = legal rights to stay. Though Cranky villagers will have to be befriended in order to be judged for this law.
I mailed a letter to one of my unwanted villagers saying "please move out" and the next day they told me they were going to move the next week
I think it's confusing that the villagers who you befriend the most are usually the ones that decided to move out rather than the other way around

I named my town “Yeet” and now I wanted to change it to something else
I had gruff as a villager and he said after TWO FUCKING YEARS of being in my he FINALLY said "imma yeet my ass outta here" i said see ya and he replies with this "is that i smile i see on your face? Are you happy im moving!? Well then im staying, so we can be best friends"
I later on that afternoon reset my village.
Me: *Loves Margie as a neighbor, talks to her, fulfills her requests, cares about her*
Margie: I'm moving out
Me: *Cries*
Margie is so awesome too!
I haven't talked to a villager in over a year, and she hasn't left yet.

If you build the fence public works project you can put your flowers in and around it, houses won't appear near there

And I haven't been able to get rid of her since then and it has been a long time since Bill moved away. It is really driving me crazy and everyone else is wanting to move out EXCEPT BLAIRE! And I already lost Roscoe not too long ago :( .
TheMeloettaful I actually managed to get Octavian and a few other annoying villagers out of my town! I talked to him once a day for maybe 1 or 2 weeks. He just pinged when I was making my rounds and asked if he should move out. I am so happy he moved out! I put my flower clock right where his was so no one could move in the same spot again. I definitely recommend you try my method out if you have been struggling for a while now.

TheMeloettaful :D I seriously hope it works for you too! I used to be able to just ignore a villager and then they would slowly back off and move away. But ever since I updated the game there had been a lot of changes. :I And I didn't update the game for a really really long time so it was a huge jump and there are a lot of features now. I remember once that when I was about…7?I started to hate a frog villager so I started being the meanest I could to him, but I paid a lot of attention to Filbert because he’s my favorite villager. About a week or so later I get 2 letters, one from my mom and one from the frog. I read my moms letter first reading something about me slipping on ice and got a hospital wall with it. The other letter read Filbert has moved out. I went to the original spot of where the frog was and guess what?He was still there-

a way you could make villagers move is going to the town hall and reporting them to isabelle over and over again. it works for me every time 🤷🏼♀️
If you tell isabelle that you have a problem with a villager will that cause that villager to move out sooner?
I tried it with a villager in my sister's town on a guy named Caesar. It actually seemed to work better than physically going yourself to harass them.

I tried this and it wasn't very effective. It took me about a month/month and a half to get the character to move. I trapped her until she fell in pitfalls, I hit her with my net, I yelled in her face with a megaphone, I pushed her around, etc. and she eventually moved away :3

Option 2 worked really well for me:
One day Velma moved into my town on my flower hybrids, and every day for just 1 week I would harass her by hitting her and pushing her etc. She moved out pretty fast - she didn’t tell me, send a letter or anything!

so in 2015 i was an idiot and decided to demolish my town, and i lost all my fav villagers! my favorite especially was Deena, but I lost her! I literally loved all my villagers in that town but stupid me demolished it. so now i dont like ANY of my villagers except for Tabby. But its not like I can get them all to move out right? lmao. I think the one I really don't like is Rolf. He was pretty mean to me at the beginning because i havent played ACNL since 2015 and he was mad that it took me 3 years to meet him and just ughhhhhh

rolf is in my town and if you actually talk to him a lot, he makes less snarky remarks and is actually quite nice. if you visit cranky villagers’ houses often and do favors for them and compliment them when the chance is given, they open up and become pretty cool characters to be around.

I just got this game and built a super nice house away from everyone in town, its nice because i planted flowers everywhere to make a garden. Today Julian built their house RIGHT IN FRONT OF MINE. I havent even meet this charater yet and i already hate them, i feel kinda bad because they might be super cool. But they also went out of their way to block my house, Thank you for the tips i will use them and hopefully come back with results! You are a lifesaver!!
Also you can keep villagers if you hear gossip about them wanting to leave and if they look happy to see you and surprised it might be that.
i set my home to where i can make an elaborate french garden in front of it, but agnes decides to move right on top of my plans! i'll rejoice on the day she leaves! for now, i just whack her like crazy with my net LOL
The only method its mostly likely to work is befriending the villager you wanna move out, talking to them til the tought bubble appears. Harassing them only lowers the friendship level but dont have any impact on them wanting to move. Makes sense? Not at all!

Henry said he was considering moving, I said take care and he didnt try to stay. The same conversation happened with another character and he said that he needed to stay so we could have a better friendship! Then he came back to the mayor and said the other character "convinced him to stay".

Beardo decided to move in RIGHT in front of a bridge I had JUST placed a couple days before. I was so angry that I did everything I could. Sent him angry letters, reported him to Isabelle, and hit him with my net until he would get angry or sad. I did it so many times that I actually started to feel bad and after he finally moved out I felt like I had murdered someone which made me cry and have a panic attack.
I sent Knox a letter saying 'shave your eyebrows you ugly chicken for dinner'
And I pitfalled him for months, and he hasn't moved out still

But one thing I’ve always wanted to do (and have had a lot of trouble with) is getting the supposedly rare flower known as a Jacob’s Ladder. If you could, could you make a tutorial on how to get Jacob’s Ladders? And how rare are they really?

Another name for Method 3 is "Villager Favoritism," where you only talk to that villlager and tend to talk less the others. This method does work as of I have
favoritised my favorite villager Walker. Of course since I talked to him every day and I didn't want him to leave I always made him stay. Sooooo yeah... For those of you who are wondering all of these methods work.

Been playing this game almost 2 years. I've never seen a couple characters before. Maybe they moved out (not sure). Animal concept came from the Wuzzles (was an 80's cartoon show, those who don't know). Rooney looks like a blue dog and a kangaroo. Isabelle looks like a dog but also a lamb!
I've been doing the 1st method for at least a year, so I thought I was doing something wrong, thanks for the tips I really enjoyed them!

ive found that the best way to move villagers out is to get friendly with everyone. ever notice how once your town is full (9-10 villagers), your favorite villagers start asking to move? it is the same with the other guys who you dont like as much. :p when i first started the game and ignored unwanted villagers, they would take forever to ask to move and once they did, they'd change their mind and give the excuse "they dont know you well enough" and decide to stay. sooo annoying

I ignored a villager for like 5 months, then one of my other villagers told me that they heard that villager was gonna move.. I got exited and went to talk to them.... The worst part is when they eventually pinged me about it later they decided to not move purely because, and I quote "I think we could be better friends"

Thanks, due to some time travels (I wanted to get a lot of trendy furniture for my house) I lost my only Uchi character, Flo. I haven't unlocked PWPs like the bus stop and some other zen builds so I wanna get rid of Gabi, my least favorite one, who just moved in and bother any unnecessary villager until I get an Uchi again. (Yes I don't have an amiibo scanner, ACNL cards and I play on a 2DS).

Kyle isn't the problem for my town, just his house. He just plopped his place square in the middle of a pathway leading from my house to a fountain/park area I made. I time- traveled like crazy, and other villagers in my town have come & gone, but not Kyle for some insane reason.
I like my villagers, but I am not a big fan of those ant eater things and I have two of them but I don't want to be mean and kick them out!
My favorite is an anteater named Annalisa lol
Apollo moved literally RIGHT next to me and he plants flowers everywhere around my house and it’s so annoying because I keep running through them and destroying them! I want him to move out but the only thing is that I actually like his character so I’m probably not gonna make him move out. I restarted my old town and I miss my two favorite characters: Prince and Dora so Apollo is the only connection I have to my old town since he was there too IDK WHAT TO DOOOO
Another way to do it is to make isabelle yell at the villager you dont want
