Outlandish scientific claims aside, the fact that nearly every advertisement the CEO's in has him surrounded by an overwhelming amount of conventionally attractive young woman just makes him come off as a super creepy to me.
Like, there's no way you can tell me that he hasn't approached at least one of those girls in an inappropirate or non-consensual manner while off-camera.
The fact he has kids promoting this drink too is insane to me. What the heck does a kid need this type of drink for?!?! No one needs energy drinks. But especially not kids!! You know they had to file for Bankruptcy right? Also Pepsi who was their distributor and got their products out on prime shelves where everyone could buy it easily, pulled out from being their distributor. There's no creatine in the product according to lab results.
They were also sued by monster for monetary damages.
This was a TLDR of the whole situation. There's a 46 minute video from about 7 months ago covering this in depth, which includes and thoroughly covers this brief video in broad detail.

I have a feeling they added way more thsn labelled in the first few years, but then did that.
Bc when I was drinking Bang regularly to combat my chronic fatigue syndrome, I had lab tests done 2 different times at my doctor’s in house lab, and a few times a month or two later when I was hospitalized and in the ICU with sepsis via a *kidney infection*.
*all those tests showed pretty high levels (for me) of creatine.*
I drank it too often, and I have a feeling it might’ve been a contributing factor with my decreased kidney functions.
To be clear though:
1) it was my fault as far as frequency of consumption - one almost every day
2) it is not the cause of it. Just thinking it might’ve expedited things.

@@Tayl0r_ Kidney infections are not fun at all, ended up geting one when I was in middle school due to being qutie litterally addicted to Mountain Dew. Would drink a 12 pack every other day and no matter how much I drank I was still thristy. The infection was so bad it took over 4 years of just drinking water and kool-aid to clear out enough to be able to drink sodas and god damn was it painful.
The funniest part to me is that when I went into the gas station this morning they were in the process of getting rid of their bang drink fridge

I'm in the UK and I've rarely if ever seen a shop sell Bang, first because it costs slightly more than Monster and Relentless and second because its not really known unless you see all the memes. Like I found out about Bang because of a video James Marriot did on Dani Cohn, who was sponsored by Bang a couple of times. I tried Bang once and it was just terrible, I didn't even know about the whole controversy of Bang because well it just tastes like crap and paid no mind to it. But calling it "a can of cringe" is a perfect way to describe it. I'll stick with the Monster folks. But saying an energy drink can "reverse alzaimers" is full on pseudo science levels of bs, like I get you wanna stand on the same playing field as Monster, but this is taking the piss

Yea, the artificial sweeteners leaves an absolutely nasty taste in your mouth. My mother in law drinks them and asked me if I wanted to try. I normally drink monster and was interested in trying a sugar free alternative. After a few tries, I just handed it back to her and rinsed out my mouth with water. So gross

I work at a gas station and for the past month or so we have not been able to get bang energy drinks. And last week they actually came in and pulled what we had left off the shelves. Monster ironically has way less Caffeine than Bang. Hell most energy drinks do. Bang has like 300mg which is ridiculous seeing as Redbull for example has around 100mg. I had a Bang Energy once and remember being so abnormally twitchy from the Caffeine so idk how ol Jack thinks it would be able to cure mental diseases🤦

I know no one is putting a lot of stock in the Bang CEO's interpretation of scientific data, but the Monster lawsuit wasn't taking issue with the claim that creatine has certain health effects: rather, they were saying that Bang doesn't contain enough of it to confer those benefits onto consumers when drunk at safe levels. Guess his lawyers probably told him to keep his mouth shut about that part xD

In terms of chemistry, putting "super" before a name implies multiple of something combined to create a new, technically different thing. Supersaturation and superphosphate are classic examples. It does not mean something is exactly the same but more powerful, like the super creatine bang was advertising.

I bought a 24 pack of bang and I've drank maybe 12 so far in 2 weeks. It's just an energy drink just like all the others, nothing special just different flavors and marketing.
4 years ago I was looking for a new graphic design job, I was interview and did a design test for Bang Energy. When I was told all designs get approved by the CEO I knew something was wrong with the company. Thank god I got a great offer at another company and I easily said to Bang, no thank you!
