Thanks so much for watching! If you are interested in finding out more info about St Peter Port I have a whole playlist all about it: th-cam.com/play/PLgfR64_vRGksl7Kpdf6K8yh6nMkhrfckT.html
Thank you very much again!! Last time I was in Guernsey was 2006 and I don't remember the apartments you mention after you have described the banks and insurance buildings on the waterfront. Yesterday I was on the top cliff in Rosas in Spanish Catalonia, about 100 miles north of Barcelona. Though I have been living not far from there for 5 years, I hadn't been on the top, around 150 meters high above the sea. The scene was gorgeous but... When I see the images here, I must say, Guernsey is also unique...!
Use to work on those apartment buildings. I think they were finished at around 2007-2008. Cause this is when I left GSY , this was actually my last job I had on the island.
👍 thanks again Ross for the walkabout video 7:00, walked that road many times heading upto or from the bridge, but on the opposite side of the road, mostly totally oblivious to the buildings and side roads 😖
Great video Ross! Very interesting to see the newly developed Admiral Park area and then the old Bouet. Brings back memories. The whole area has turned out really nice, a real improvement to my mind.
For a moment, I forgot my worries🌼...This video made me really happy🌹🌺🐬... I've subscribed now🦩...I someday hope to live with my family in the Island and have a great time🍵... Thank you for posting, have a wonderful day🌞
Really enjoy being recommended your videos, thank you. Will be passing through on the way to visiting my parents in France soon. I went in the Marks and Spencer foodhall last time for a salmon roll. Might have to walk to Good Rebel this time 😊
It is the Jamaica.. Oliver Reeds local. Guernsey sure has changed since I was last staying there. All them new buildings aren’t doing anything for the beautiful island!!
@@Carey1135 I suggest you go to one of the property agent sites. They will have listing for Open Market housing. I think Fallon, Ross's wife, addressed this on one of their live videos.
Open market and local market. Open market is much more expensive. Local market is for local Guernsey people and those with work permits. Even the local market is dearer than London though. Very expensive! There's no specific local or Open area.

Great seeing the modern and the more traditional houses in Guernsey. Really interesting. 🙂👏
My maternal Great Grandfather lived in one of the cottages with Dutch gables (Little houses) in the late 19th Century. He was a shipwright
Thank you very much again!!

Nicely done! I like the slow pace.

Cheers Ross 👍
Booked that Holiday inn for the end of May. Can't wait to see Guernsey
Nice apartments….great walk….❤️🥰🥰🇨🇦
Interesting perspective of the financial sector area on the island and stylish accomodations !
👍 thanks again Ross for the walkabout video

Nice one
There used to be a tomato packing facility and a ford garage i seem to remember along the front in the early 70's
Good to see a video on day to day life on the island showing examples working, living and of course those beautiful views out to sea too.
More to come!

Glad you enjoyed it

So nice of you
Very smart, you are really selling Guernsey to me Ross!
Excellent video, I stay in the flat above the shop at the Longstore when I am in Guernsey and that is Oliver Reeds old hang out, the Jamaica Inn.
Very cool!
Amazing the difference in the new buildings and the old ones
You should show the lovely Guernsey cottages x

Have fun!
Good Rebel is first rate. The guy that owns it, and Fat Rascal, is a very nice guy.
yay just seen my car lol thought i seen you :)
12:46 is my house🎉

Can you show the area where open market houses are .. I heard there are 2 types of housing there .
I think open market housing is scattered through the island. There are local market properties, and open market properties.
@@carolrebeccareiss8968 cool . I thought open market properties will have some designated area ..

There's no specific local or Open area.
None of those buildings were there when we had holiday in the late 80s
Are there any allotment gardens on Guernsey where people can grow their own veg? The houses you walked by today mostly had no grass or trees.
Most people have gardens but we do have some allotments as well
How far is it from St. Peter port Ross 🤔. Can you walk it 👍
Its about a 30 min walk from the main town
I though it was canary wharf. It's the same as jersey.
I left Guernsey just before it became Suburbia by the Sea.

Hi Jenny, I will see what’s available to rent for you👍
Really sad to see these new builds.... ruining the island and its culture
Jersey's better. Stop wasting your time with this awful island!
