This tablet is a god-sent to Engineers, even though I paid for it. I am able to read my ebooks, codes, review drawings, write meeting minutes, write To-do list, write anything, learn to write chinese characters. I don't have to bring my laptop anymore. I don't have to bring bulky drawings, I don't have to bring actual papers, and I never have to lose any note ever again. I bring my Tab s7+ everywhere I go. However, I don't game on it, I don't use it for calling. I just use it exclusively as a productivity gadget.
Taking notes for engineering classes is also sooo smooth! Better tan the noisy apple pencile and ipad pro.

Yes, i use my Lenovo tablet that way. I wish i could use android os for more , but, i havent been able to find substitutes for windows programs i use such as Linkman link collector/database/exporter, etc. Also the browsers are android versions, which are not as full featured as windows versions, eg, allowing all the extensions. The browser interface in Android frustrates me to no end. If I could deal with thoseproblems, i would upgrade my tablet to samsung. Untill then:( Any thoughts? Thanks:)

Just hope that Samsung realize that they have a banger of a product with their tab s line. Just work on developing the compatibility of apps with DeX. Also work with the big developers to bring their pro apps to their tablets and people will recognize that they really have a better product than the ipad.
You made a great point and the biggest reason the tab isn’t as great as he points out in this video. Apps are what make tablets so useful and flexible and android is not there and for their tablets I can’t see them going anywhere. If the tab is supposed to be the saving grace of android tablets then everyone will keep on waiting. The tab is nice though.
I honestly want more developers to make apps optimized for tablets. Most of them are basically phone versions of the apps but stretched to fit the tablet screen, which results in very weird looking UI. Tablets are meant to be used in landscape mode!
Used Tab S7 since oct 2019 and use samsung dex alot since WorkFromHome, all i need is Samsung Work with Microsoft to bring FULL featured microsoft office on its Tablet. thats all i want. coz mobile apps still lacking so many ways compare to destop/laptop apps
@@pattycarljackson I completely agree with you. Sure, there are workarounds to optimise the apps but of course not everyone will know how to do them/won't even bother with them. For example of you just open the web version of Instagram on desktop view mode in Samsung Internet it works like a charm, plus you can add it as a shortcut too. But as I said some older people who didn't grow up fully with technology probably won't be discovering these until they've used the device for like 3 years which at that point it might need to be replaced.

Had my S7+ for about a year now, using it for studying in vet school. I can easily say that Im still impressed with what it can do, and my classmates with IPAD pro´s are jealous haha

For us drone pilots, the Samsung tabs are the only way to go, iPad isn't even an option. We have BLHeli suite, Betaflight configurator, DJI digital out via HDMI, etc... None of them are available on iOS nor iPadOS. I can tune and setup my FPV quads, record footage wirelessly, share my flight experience with non-pilots via HDMI out from my FPV goggles, all with the tab s7. It's flippin' awesome, we've all moved away from iOS for this reason.
Then when I get home from flying and offload my footage to my powerful desktop PC, I enable second screen and do all of my edits sitting on the couch out in the living room, remote controlling Davinci Resolve and doing thumbnails with Photoshop and the desktop version of Canva, all supported by the spen via second screen. No need for powerful software on the tab itself, I let my desktop PC do all the heavy lifting since that's what's it for. Right before I upload to TH-cam, I cast the video to my big screen to share with my family via Wireless Dex for quick proofing of my work.
The tab S7 has so many features like this that just set it apart from anything else out there. It's wide-open in what you can do.
I'm also a software developer, and have boat-load of dev tools installed directly on my s7+. Running Linux distros on the S7 is super easy to setup and configure for dev work, it's just incredible. I even have a client/server setup going on with my desktop PC to S7, so I can do full regression testing of websites and API's. Since I work from home, my coworkers have no idea that 1/2 of the time, I'm just remote controlling my work laptop from my couch with my S7+, enjoying life to the fullest.
Same feelings. I love my Tab S7+. I even tend to write more on it instead of my laptops. I even connected it to my Logitech keyboard and mouse and it works like a dream. AND that screen!

@@Moloc2230 the battery is my only complaint. It's huge, 10,090 BUT the screen sucks it up quick. Within 4 to 6 hours.
Finally someone in the tech community is brave enough to call this BS out. So let me get this straight:
Spen doesnt need charging to write
Can magnetise to three spots
Has a customizable spen floating icon shortcuts
Has customizable pen button app shortcuts
Has air gestures (though gimmicky)
Can be use across different phones and tablets without pairing necessary
Can navigate the ui
Has 9ms latency and like a bagillion pressure sensitivity levels
Comes free in the box
And the $129 apple pencil is marketed as the only stylus worth using?
Well it does need charging. That's what the spot on the back is for. But yes. I much prefer the s pen
@@TechOdyssey The S-pen doesn’t need to be charged _except_ for the Air gestures/Bluetooth photo features. Since I don’t use those things, mine stays attached to the top of my S7+ the vast majority of the time; I only charge it when I charge the Tab (every couple days)...and even then, I occasionally forget 😁🤣

Is there any green tint at low brightness?
I actually love using this WITH my crappy old laptop for online school. I watch lectures on the laptop and take notes, do hw/research, have textbooks open, and keep track of questions and whatnot on the tablet. The combo works beautifully for me.
The One UI 3 update got my Tab S7+ stuttered at first then it performed like a beast later, 3x better than the previous One UI. And the hard tip of the Apple Pencil is just a huge bummer to the soft one of the S Pen. I just love my S7+ a lot.
I retired this year, so I thought (told myself) this might be the last time I can afford to buy a flagship tablet and phone so I bought the S7+ and the S21 Ultra last year. I have to say I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAY IN THIS VIDEO ABOUT OUR KILLER TABLET. BTW I've been a lifelong Sammy Tab guy myself (owned a few others [Lenovo..] but always back to Sammy Tabs). I got the non plus, I think it is a solid product. The scandinavian keyboard seems a bit cramped though with the smaller form factor and the extra letters so I miss hit the zero key often because it isn't where I expect it to be.
I'm happy with my purchase even though I wish they included the back cover from the keyboard set with the product as default.

I totally agree with your review of this great tablet, I have had mine a year , I bought a case for it that traps the pen so secures it. NEVER had any issues with it so far, loved your video thanks for posting from Garry I the UK

My only (very, very minor) complaint is that I ordered this in bronze and they sent me black. Yes, it should have been corrected, but we were only in country for a short period of time and I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a new one in time. I'm such a fan of Samsung Galaxy tablets that I'd rather suck it up than lose out on having it. In the big scheme of things, this rates an irritant factor of .0000000001 out of 1000. In other words, I'm not looking at the colors when I use it, so I got over it very easily.
S7+ rocks!!! I have the Tab S6 LTE still. Bought it June 2020. Then the S7+ LTE came out, bought that too. I've been a Galaxy fan since day one. S7+ is the best android tablet I've ever owned. Best screen. Really good speakers. Only complaint I have is the lack of cases available when I bought it. But I got the UAG case and my S7+ fell down 14 stairs in my home less than 30 days of owning it. The UAG case is not the hard case. It was closed when my S7+ fell. NO damage!!! The S7+ is great. Glad I got it.
I honestly use it more than my laptop. I know ipads dominate the tablet market, but this is a damn good option for Android users.

I have had mine as a lightweight business laptop for about 3 months now and it is awesome. Yes a 13" superbook does more but the S7+ does everything you really need for most meetings

Nice video 💜! I've had mine since launch and I love this tablet. I prefer to edit my videos on it and the front camera looks great for live streaming too.
Coming from Ipad pro 2018 to Tab s7+. I am so happy with this tablet. Its doing everything properly for me. Also things like printing and watching streams, doing games is just great. Today I received the keyboard and its a great addition.
Glad you're happy with switching and you're enjoying the Tab S7+ so much. People are so quick to write it off because it's not an iPad. I prefer the Tab as well!
@@TechOdyssey it's just great I don't need an airprinter, and everything is pretty much locked away. I gave my old Ipad pro to my girlfriend, forgot my password. And it was a complete disaster resetting the iPad pro. I was pretty much close to bin it. Took me about 2 days to fix it. Also I love the customation on the android devices over the ios. I do have to admit, I think the speakers of the iPad are deeper. For instance, my girlfriend and I play world of warships blitz. When she is firing I hear deep and loud sounds where my tablet is alot lesser quality. Also the "bass" seems louder on the ipad than the Samsung. I do think my display is alot better at than most ipad pro screens. Haven't seen the new ones yet, but still even though they could be better. I will never ever buy an IPad again. Same as the Iphone, I'm more than happy with my S20FE. And everything works together quite simple with no effort.
@@Richard1976 scroll down so that you can see the menu and turn on Dolby atmos. It should improve the sound :) also do this if you wear headphones

Hi, Great video. I'm planning to get one, but have two concerns: 1) Files Managment: Is it ok? Not pretending the same as a pc, but do like it to be decent. 2) Office (word/Excel), the same, do not pretend to be the same experience as desktop, but can ir work for light tasks?? Thanks

13:28 yeah but does the expandable storage allow you to put apps on the SD cards that you can put in the tablet I ask because back in the day when I got an android tablet it had expandable storage but then when I put the SD card in I couldn’t put any apps on it. I could only put pictures and I thought that was pretty lame because that’s not the point I wanted it for. I was hoping to have extra space for games

Yep I'm still in love with mine. She's never been touched either. Picked her up with gloves, put a screen protector on her and a $100 case. She's still in perfect condition. I heard the S8 will be 14 inches. Too big for my taste. This one already makes my wrists hurt 😂 my only complaint is battery length.

Love this Tab S7! Awesome for watching movies & listening to music & when i need to get some business time in, i pull out my Logitech keyboard & mouse. They link up beautifully & there's no lag time at all! Throw the S pen in & i can also link up my LG V60 (which is also awesome) & I've got my own little production going on😁. Love this Tab S7🤗👍🏾

I love this tablet, mostly the Samsung dex I use it with :) have a good keyboard case and didn't realise the mouse pointer will even work it is great. Do you think there will be another one out later this year? Wonder when it will be. Would pick one of these any day 🤣 also great video as always :)

@@TechOdyssey I like that you brought up the SD 888 overheating issue. I would add one more potential Galaxy Tab S8/S8+ concern: At least one render I saw showed a Notch in the display for the webcam ! 🤬😩

I bought mine a few months ago and it came in the box with the s Pen and the Book Cover for the same price and I'm really happy with it so far :)
Using my S7+ as my primary work based interface. Processing word and office documents with a Logitech keyboard with built in touch pad. Does everything I need.
There is one issue I have encountered though where it dims the screen on occasionally. The dimming has nothing to do with any of the settings. It just dims under heavy processing...like when playing eggs.
How it works for Ms office especially excel files
@@sandeepchandel2761 Ive used it lightly for excel. It works fine. Ive used it heavily for word, it does everything I need in that regard. Note I found out why the screen dims. Theres a game function that is annoyingly difficult to turn off. Once off though, no more issues.

Everything he said within the first minute about him loving Samsung and Android I more than agree with, I use a silver 11° Tab S7 and I love mine too. The only thing I don't like is that it has no 3.5mm headphone jack since I upgraded from a 2016 Tab A 10.5° in May and it had one, but I guess now I just have to use an adapter until I get Bluetooth headphones on my birthday:( but DeX, S Pen, the screen and One UI more than make up for it.
Hello, youve had your tab for 2 years now. I just want to know if it lags now? Is it worth buying in 2023? Would you recommend it? I want the s7+ for its screen (size and display), so im not getting the s8. And s8+ is out of budget 😅

I'm very close to buying this tablet very soon, but something that I'm not sure if I should be concerned about that was mentioned in the video, is the fact there will only be two more years of updates for this device. It's not something I've ever thought about before. Is it something to be worried about?
iv had mine maybe 6 months now, still loving it, very fast and does everything i need it to. literally cant think of anything id change about it, maybe longer lasting battery so i can use it more? lol. it still lasts me 2 days before i have to charge it.

I love my S7, I use it all the time the only issue I have with it is that it doesn't run when it to the tv with the HDMI cable. I was wondering if you had that with your tablette.

Question during your Review did you experience the Screen dimming a bit, like the brightness went down. I was fantastic in the start in even bright light, now its difficult to view unless in shade or just dark for that matter. Any suggestions on a fix? I have Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ Wifi only model with 500gb of storage. yea it dumb not having cell service for paying for the big boy but anyway.

in terms of battery and battery health , do you think people are getting different versions of battery performance ? for example i have the accu battery pro and it reads 87 % battery health after few days of buying the tab s7 plus , and do you think the battery protect feature really works ? cuz i turned mine on and it stills charge over 85 % , not sure if it's meant to be this way

Im an tabs7plus user and i am satified with the productivity it provides for my lifestyle but my issue is that this tab doesnt have many accesories available in the market. No better 3rd party sub for Spen. No many option for the case and other protection for the tab. If ever you have recomendation please do make a video for it. Thank you!

I"m an Android user on mobile and shopping for a tablet. I'm debating between this Samsung and an iPad. How long is Samsung planning on supporting or providing updates for the S7 Plus? I don't want to purchase one just to find out a year later there's no more updates for it.
I just got mines for my wife for Xmas she loves it already was about to get the s8 plus but will wait
I even turned off the S Pen function not to waste the battery.
It's perfect for taking note while reading the document. You can just smart select and share it into Samsung Note.
I also love its second screen function with my PC.

Pls tell us that if this tab S7+ tablets supports SAMSUNG THEMES or not as I am going to order one. It can be downloaded by any means or not . Can we change text style in this tab or not . As these customisation are very important and it shouldn't be compromised . So pls reply if you can change your themes from samsung thene store or text style or not
I'm thinking of buying the S7 for studying purpose ... like being on Teams and showing a PDF file, or a presentation. Is the S7 good for this?

I have the s7 plus and love it now I just seen the rendering for the s8 ultra tab with a 14 inch screen! this is why I got the s7 for the bigger screen looks like I will be getting the s8 ultra and someone will get a good second hand s7 plus 👍
In dex mode, do you have Microsoft office apps like Microsoft project or excel?

So the single USB-C connection is for charging, but could you connect a hard drive and transfer movies from it to the tablet?
