It's not possible with those types of switches though, since the switch work by connecting either the left pin to the middle pin, or the right pin to the middle pin. When the switch is in the neutral position, it leaves the middle pin unconnected to anything, hence why it's usually pulled to ground using a resistor. You need a voltage potential to detect the position of the switch, so the central position cannot be used in any way since it's not connected to anything but ground.

Cool. It’s 3^10 for anybody who doesn’t know the combination. Since they don’t know that middle positions don’t have to be tested. And very easy to Hotwire. Pry the little box up with a screwdriver and twist two wires.
I once made a diy taser But it was not safe as anyone could press the button and possibly get accidently tased, there was no safety. So what i did was i made a pcb with ten tiny switches with a specific pattern. The pattern i made was by turning a 3 digit number into a binary code. I still have that taser and it works safely!

Screen was wrong. With three positions the combinations are 3^10 or 3*3*3*3*3*3*3*3*3*3*3= 59,049. They showed 2*2 etc. for a total of 1,024, quite an error. What's sad isn't that a poster was slow (they all are), but not one comment pointed out such an obvious error.
these are three position switches so there are 59,049 possabilities (3^10) the way they're being used as only up or down limits the space to 1024 (2^10) but they actually support 1/0/-1 if wired correctly.
