I really like the individualized procedures. Giving our kids two time warnings (5 and 2 minutes) works well for us (in this time, I'm with the younger one). Often after that, there often is 'one last task' they want to do and I say okay, because I know it's important especially for the younger one that it feel self-determined and not forced on him.
I really like the way you phrase it. "Do you wanna watch 5 more minutes or come downstairs?" Phrasing can be such a game changer!
"Or are you ready to come down?" Is a good mindfulness question which is how she actually phrased it instead of just telling her to come.
