For what is meditation??? To heal???
But if I tell them every time that are doing it terrible with me, how the hell can they still be Unaware? I think they just really don't care about me. Cus they never cared how they make me feel, only how they're feeling in the moment.
Great talk, you both covered so many important topics. Would love to see a part 2!
Public prctices trying to publicize private matters... how unfortunate 😢
What video was this from?
I have something to say. :) When i was a child, my mother projected her insecuritys on to me, saying things like "iam good for nothing" or helping me with maths in a way... hmm how can i describe it... Whenever i couldn't solve an equation in an instant, a nuclear explosion would feel like brief and calm wind next to her reaction... I could go on, but i leave at that. Long story short, i have risen out of that crap and iam confident enough, to do whatever i wanna do and iam not afraid to fail. I don't give a f*** so to speak. And now, after i became quiet successfull in my life and beeing happy in my life, she seeks the contact with me, but i dont want to. And despite of that she trying to give me a sense of guilt, that I don't want anything to do with her, which is kinda annoying. Does someone has a tip for me, on how to deal with that? I have a deep disrespect for this woman and don't want to spend any time with her... I also have three little brothers, 2 of them live in her basement, no work, no real social life, etc... Is there something i can tell them to help them too? Thank in adwance :)
Like going broke
Hello, I'm very new to this channel. Have you touched on parental burnout? I have two young kids (4 and 2) with no support system other than my husband and I'm finding parenting extremely hard.
Will do! It can be all-consuming. Kati talks a bit in this episode on building your support, would recommend listening through.
Kati Morton and Dr. K are the ones I've learned the most about mental health from over the years.
Yeah that was me plus a reading disability 121
I learned how to make the perfect Chocolate Chip cookies by failing 100 times… then practicing 100 more times… He makes an excellent point. If someone gives up, it’s because someone taught them that. Failure isn’t proof of anything. Failure is a necessary part of success. We simply can’t learn everything without DOING. And we’re not going to do it right at first. I EXPECT to fail the first time I try a new recipe. When people say “I just can’t cook” that tells me they gave up when they had those initial failures. Everyone can cook, but are they willing to fail to gain the ability?
Makes sense
When they're raised in a world where everyone's just looking for a way to accept themselves for letting themselves believe they were failures. Everyone just wants to know that they are worthy, important, and irreplaceable. It's not easy in anyone's shoes
Ahh I thought I recognized Kati morton in the thumbnail.
Or when the parent consistently uses the thing the kid loves above their head and takes it from them every chance they get
I loved this conversation. The atmosphere, the vibe, the tone of it... Amazing! But, please, guys, links in the dooblydoo. She has a youtube channel, or her website or something.
dooblydoo... are you a fellow nerdfighter? 😮❤
Glad you loved it, and good point - tagged!
To me the real world is more scary than boring. I'm fine with boring lmao
Awesome interview, both of you :) The emphasis you put on protecting workflow and attention is extremly validating. I always felt awful when I am being pulled away from something I am doing and beinf unable to pick it right up again, but my feelings on the matter have always been minimized by others. It felt like I was weak and broken for being unable to keep my focus despite being interrupted all the time, but now I'm starting to think that it's _not_ "just me", and I need to better protect that momentum I build up.
Non-negotiable > self-care for working parents! It’s a must have not a nice to have 💪🏽
Great conversation, just echoing a reply I made about some audio issues: I can hear Kati's voice doubled a little bit before, after and while Kruti talks because both mics are picking her voice up. It seems there's an issue with the noise gate threshold for each mic.
I used to game cause my parents were always fighting.
My 1 year old baby tries to solve a riddle, she (usually) fails and she applauds herself for doing great job. I love it 😄I am kinda jealous of her confidence 😃
I like this dude
You learn how to do things right by failing. No one at the top of their game got to where they are without failure.
Is there actually.scientific evidence that dissolving the ego is benificial?
You discover something magnificent: Malaria
Agree, long awaited collab! A fan of you both!
the best collab!! Love seeing Kati on, would love to see her again!
7:09 so cute lol
Love this and this channel but please work on the audio!
What’s wrong with it, it’s great. There’s always someone to complain about something, wow
There is some valid critiques tbh, I can hear Kati's voice doubled a little bit before and while Kruti talks because both mics are picking her voice up. It seems there's an issue with the noise gate threshold and it's been edited to silence each person's audio between their speech but otherwise keep the raw recording, including audio crossover from the other person's voice
Content is good and the audio is okay. Coming from other channels it feels more muffled and quieter. Alok has a more open audio
Umm who can afford a TS concert? It’s so unfair for the children and families that can’t afford 1k for each ticket. What about her poor fans? Do they not deserve the experience. Does she really need all that money? Isn’t she already a millionaire? I don’t see the need for her prices and I think it’s very selfish of her to charge so much.
there are places that do swifty sing alongs in person! maybe you could that instead?
@@soupytho I think the larger issue is that it's hard for lower income parents to "pay for cool things to support their kids" kind of solution.
@@patman2193 true true :(
Uh she said if you can afford it-there’s other ways to connect without going to a concert if that’s not possible.
Mrs k 💕🙏🌞
Kati Morgan got me through a decade plus of trauma related emotional turbulence . This convo is gold. ❤
This is a very much waited Dr. K collab ngl
Hes got the Indian dad hand gestures on point
amy from big bang theory and dr K is not a combo i was expecting to see
Definitely needed to hear this. I fear every day that I’m failing my children and it’s debilitating.
When you addict a child you get them FOR LIFE.
Where this clip from?
"How Big Tech Addicts: Adult Content, ADHD, & Addiction, with Dr. Kanojia" on Dr. Mayim Bailik's channel (around 2:16:00)
So how you undo it?
Your language isn't nearly as careful, thoughtful or naunced as it could be if you were deeply connected with your potential. Sometimes people are actually broken, not because they were taught but because there's actual neurological damage, caused by developmental trauma. Yes your cute coaching advice may help a large proportion of your audience, but i wish you spent more time marinating over the data without the desire to upload. Maybe then.
So helping some people isn't enough? A guy that's already doing a HUGE amount of work to help tons of people is a bad person because he "isn't nuanced enough?"
Yes, we need stress management skills like that, but the best solution is not to see how many stressful people and how much of their abuse you can put up with but rather to get those toxic people out of your life and replace them with good people. You don't really want to see how many mosquito bites you can tolerate because eventually you're going to get malaria or dengue fever. And if you learn to tolerate toxic people, you'll end up picking up some of their toxic traits and shaming good people for not being patient with the toxic people.
That’s not the point. The point is detachment. You obviously don’t have to get bit by mosquitoes. You can just meditate in a quiet room.
The toxic people are usually family members.
bdsm yo lol
Get good at this then take it a step further. Bring meditation with you in your daily waking life. Being yourself into a meditative state while you’re at work, in class, on a date. I got really good at this and started channeling entities and egrigores.
I recently learned that scientists analysed brain waves and found that the exact same state is reached during dissociation, especially when it’s coupled with the freeze response. So we can also reach that blissful state of peaceful neutrality through the backdoor of horror 🤯
This is happened to me 😢
Haha, I went from straight A's to graduating with a 1.7 GPA my senior year in highschool 😅
[But first, get vaccinated…. 🧘🏽♀️💭💉❤️🩹 ]
I had the same. Last 3 years before high school I got bored out. Suddenly in high school I had very low grades and had difficulty studying.
Change the rules so you are always winning
THIS is the ‘secret’ Thank you 💜
Yes that’s the way to go.I read book once and there was something like this , aprproch every situation as win win rather then lose win.You will never know how things will end up for you if you regret something and wish you made different decisions. So never regret always win win 💪🏼
