      I just removed the plastic from both wires and twisted them together to close the curcuit. Did not hv to cut the wires.

    It worked for me but my car battery dies from paracidic drain now. New battery. I don’t drive the car much. Any idea why or anything I can check?

    Didn’t work for me. Still have a “Change Pads” warning on the dah. And the fault still remain after I try to fix it with a scanning tool.
    The other annoying thing is my rear pads actually have lots of thickness on them!

      Did you shut the Engine Off? Clear the code on your OBD and then re-scan again.

    Be nice to see the sencer light burn out in the dashboard when you bypass it then ripped the dashboard fun fixed it then

    • @bryanp4652
      @bryanp4652 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why would a sensor light burn out from closing a dry contact loop? It’s no different than having your vehicle sit in a garage with a new pair of pads and a wear sensor on it for years in storage.

    No it does not work. Soon as you go over 5mph the PCM will think one wheel is not moving at all if the wires are crossed.

    How bout wheel speed sensing? Bet this will throw another code as soon as this car moves. Jave you ohmed out the sensor? It may just be the sensor is not getting 5 volts. I hope this isnt a garage.

    • @ovi1990
      @ovi1990 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The brake pads sensor has nothing to do with the speed and movement of the wheel. What are you talking about?

    • @luisgaleana1111
      @luisgaleana1111 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly what the other person said, basically it’s just a wear indicator not even a sensor, so the way it works is that their is a constant current going through it, when it wears out their is a opened circuit so their is no continuity and light triggers on. I think their is another type that has a 2 stage circuit, one that once it barely wears out it sends a yellow light warning to check the pads (and have to replace the sensor) so one circuit gets ruined but you could keep going on it because their is a second circuit with a resistor, once you get to wearing out that circuit it will pop a new warning light that’s red and will keep on indicating that you need a brake job
