I live near to this shop. I would recommend the sour soup chicken noodle, it also taste very good. You will not find this kind of soup for regular food stall or noodle cart out there. So basically stir fried noodles or sour soup noodle, both are superb.

Just had one of these today at a different place before your video pops up. I've never seen this much technique and finesse poured onto this dish before!
I'm amazed by this man's cooking skills. No wonder this has a Michelin award. I can tell that there's a whole lot of determination, effort, and even an immense amount of hard work being put into all this.
Why you guys are so serious about Michelin guide? Or award?? And why you guys are so rude to her? As a Thai, I saw she just love to eat yummy food and the chef is about good enough to talk about just for fun so she just want to comment something in this section and that's it. And as a Thai I have to say this restaurant is just 1 of 200,000+ restaurants in Thailand and of course these Michelin guide would help so many foreigners to found the good food easier. Why you guys so serious about these little things like a jealous kid, hope you guys countries have those Michelin guide too so the people could find the good restaurants more easier. And believe me if your country have a lot of these Michelin restaurants, you will ignore and do not care those Michelin stickers because it's all over the city and of course you wouldn't care it's Michelin Guide or awards or Olympic, like here in Bangkok no one care about it, it's just a sticker my friends that recommended you to the yummy restaurant and that's it. And believe me I do not know where you from but here in Bangkok those chef who got Michelin stars even 3 stars doesn't mean they are more professional than these Michelin guide chefs, it's all about everything in your restaurant to get Michelin star and not all the chef want a Michelin star I have to say because it's more hard to make your restaurant perfect to get the star and if they come to check again and you are not the same they would level down your star and that's why many chef do not want it because it's mean their fame goes down and of course less customers because people would think this chef couldn't do even as his same standard, and that's why many Michelin star chef killed themselves because stars goes down in Europe and many do not want those awards.
There is another competitor store in the back alley, behind this Ann Kway Teow Kwa Gai shop. It's as good, if not better. Try both to compare the taste 😋
Your food vlogs are very entertaining. I am a Singaporean who worked and stayed in Thailand for almost 3 years. Let me know if you want to check out great eating places. I know quite a few as well 😉
Just genuinely curious - does charcoal fire do anything differently for this cooking? Since it's over the wok and not over the direct heat source like grilling, would there be any charcoal flavor?
I'm glad you enjoyed most of the videos! 🥰🥰🥰 We are now at Bangkok and tasting the amazing food for myself. Hopefully we'll be able to make it there some day.
wow... it's interesting to see variation. My vietnamese uncle have a secret recipe that is bot chien (Vietnamese pan fry radish cake) but he cook using flat noodle look sort a like chow fun but big when it super crispy on the surface he crack an egg cook a bit then throw to the dish, combination with chineese black vinegar and regular soy sauce garnish with chop green onion and some sweet radish pickle. He called this is the original of bot chien, I thought my man was crazy but I guess I was wrong haha.
As always another great video and as always I wasn't hungry, but contrary to my bacon friends, I had to satisfy myself with a piece of toast and cheese till the next video and thanks!!!
awsome thanks for the video, I am visiting Bangkok Oct 20 - Nov 20 and will be 10 minutes from this spot! hopefully I can learn how to order it I don't speak any Thai so that will be tough !
This is my first time seeing this dish. And, I've watched a lot of videos of Thai street food on TH-cam. And, I must say...these fried noodles look delicious. Different iterations of stir fried flat rice noodles have been a staple for a long time. So, the natural evolution is to shallow fry them like this and make them crispy. Maybe, they came about "accidentally." One day...when an order of char kway teow, for example, was on the wok too long and got "crispified." If so, I'm glad it happened.
Everything looks so yummy, but the only thing I kept wondering was.. does that chicken just sit out? Chicken is the prime meat for making people sick because it sits for too long and gets to room temp or above.
did he use the same implement to put all the ingredients into the wok and stir.....starting with raw chicken ? - just wondering about cross contamination
Less than $2 for a Michelin star chicken meal is awesome! You cant even get a crappy hamburger from Mc Donalds for that price! Plus less than $3 for all the meats! Must have been super yummy cuz you both got your own bowls the 2nd time around😝

No, it’s a popular technique from Guangdong/Canton cuisine brought to Thailand by Chinese immigrants from Canton. We eat it a lot in China.
