I've been lucky enough to travel to Thailand twice and can confirm that street food is THE way to eat. The restaurants are great, don't get me wrong. But when you have someone invest a large part of their day and working life into making and thus perfecting literally the same one or two dishes over and over and over as this woman clearly has- it shows in the quality, taste, and experience of the dish they are creating. This woman (and other street food chefs at this level) know which fresh produce markets to hit, and how to source the best quality ingredients in only enough quantity to last the day. No staff, nearly 0 overhead, same dish over and over, produce harvested that day or within a couple days, and probably less than 100thb ($4).
Pair that with the fact that around dinner time you can grab an ice cold 2 pack of Leo's at 7-11, wander through the food market, grab the best pad Thai you've ever had from her stall and another equally delicious dish to pair from the stall next to hers, hop on your scooter in nothing but a pair of shorts and crocs, head down to the beach to watch the most gorgeous sunset you've ever seen...
I forgot where I was going with this. God I need to go back to Thailand😭

Wow that is such a beautiful message, u inspired me go to Thailand. I come from India and we have loads of street food there which is great but having moved to Europe i always miss having street food. I do love some the food here too ofcourse, and Thai is also one of my fav cuisine. This sure hits home! Time to plan a trip 😋👏

    • @tysonogloff
      @tysonogloff 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@@joshhowe3477 honestly almost every city has evenings markets with great street food. There are street for guides for Chang Mai, Phuket, Bangkok, and other large cities, but there is also fantastic food on all the small islands and smaller cities. Rent a scooter wherever you are, ask around, and and go exploring! You will be sure to find some 'hidden' gems.

Grandma is making some Pad Thai omelet's! Awesome. Ingredients from second more traditional Pad Thai we know:
    -Big ass wok
    -Extra firm tofu
-flat noodles, probably fresh and reconstituted in the sauce
    -fish sauce
-either sugar or MSG or a combination
    -garlic chives
    -preserved radish
    -chili powder
    -dry shrimp
    -fish sauce
    -lime juice
    -tamarind sauce
    -bean sprouts
-peanuts and lime as toppers. Usually also fresh bean sprouts.

Urgent!! I need to tell you something terrible that happened to me. I was a transgender woman, and I was born into a Christian family, but at 15 I decided to become a woman because I was born a boy but I didn't feel happy. I married a few times with men, worked in prostitution, and one night before bed I asked God that if hell was real he would show me. so I went to bed and quickly my soul left the body and I went down to hell. I heard horrible screams of despair, women screaming, I saw many souls falling desperate, scared there and the demons paid those souls and dragged them away. my grandfather died of a heart attack, because he was an alcoholic, I saw him in hell dragging himself and asking me for help. but I couldn't help my grandfather. it was sad the look on his face of despair and torment and pain. the look of the people in that place is a horrible look, the expression on their face is indescribable with words I can't describe how ugly that place is. I saw a woman on nails being tortured. there was a torture ballad down there in hell. and this woman was dancing on top of giant nails! she looked at me asking for help and with a look of suffering and despair, but I couldn't do anything for her. I was not understanding and scared seeing all that. so soon after I returned to earth and called my mother, and a friend telling what I had seen and saying that hell is real. I called them with a shaky and scared voice. so today i gave my life to jesus christ, recognizing jesus christ as my lord and savior because i know hell is real and i don't want to spend my eternity in that suffering. I read the Holy Bible of Christians and I follow all the commandments. every day I fight to stay firm because it is not easy to serve God, there are many struggles and difficulties, but I am sure of my salvation and I know that I will live forever in heaven. Today I am no longer a transgender woman, I assumed my real identity as a boy and I live a simple and happy life. Before I had a life of luxury, I had money, men, but I didn't have peace and I wasn't happy. I felt a big emptiness in my little heart. today I'm very happy. GLORY TO THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD. GLORY TO OUR SOVEREIGN GOD CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH. GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR .amen uggvt

GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR .ameni ugvy

I wish I could smell and taste this. ❤ She is a master for sure! We love Thai food. My husband is diabetic and we had to give up going to our local favourite for Pad Thai because it spiked his blood sugar so high. I just bought everything to try to make an authentic version at home without the sugar. Wish me luck!
We have wonderful grocery stores here (suburbs of Toronto, Ontario) so I have found everything I need except for the preserved radish. Hoping my replacement works well. I want this to be as real as possible without going to Thailand (but wish we were there).
