Here's my unboxing and first impressions of the Pedal Commander on my 2016 Ram 1500 Hemi, Installation is super simple and takes seconds, just unplug the the connector at the gas pedal and plug it into one of the pedal commander plugs, the second plug goes to the gas pedal and you can mount the unit to your dash using the enclosed velcro with backing tape.
I am very impressed so far as you can see in the video, definitely a must have addon to improve your throttle response and driveability.

It doesn't make it faster it just cuts out the lag and all the dead space in the throttle for better throttle response. It's not a programmer or chip. But it really is no joke I love mine!

Believe it or not, I've actually averaged 1 MPG better per tank with the pedal commander installed running in City +2 mode
Well if it cuts the lag it will make it faster than. Response time is quicker, making it faster. It doesn't increase hp or torque.
@@igotursixx2665 the correct term is quicker my friend. Fast is top speed whereas quickness is 0-60

On another truck of mine had the peddle command left it on sport, took it in to get body repair an you know kids, you can tell them it takes off like a rocket, of course they don't believe you damaged my vehicle taking off somewhere an totally denied they did it even the own back the kid up. Passed me onto say the least. So will put it to city drive. An install 360 video on it. It is hard to believe, it really is till you experience it yourself, love your expression good job, great video

Just installed mine 20mins ago.... Gotta say, it's a huge difference. Obviously I have to give it time and "play" with the seetings a bit, but as of now I'm a believer!

Does the PC automatically turn on and remember the settings each time you start the truck? Or do you have to set it each time you start the truck ?

I think this would make a big difference for my truck... seeing as I'm lifted with 35's... It feels sluggish, I know I've got the power to get up and go but turning the bigger wheels makes the truck feel like a dog.. Really something I'm thinking of picking up. Especially considering with my 16' year... I'd need to tune my PCM in order to run a bullydog etc! Thanks!
Mackenzie Connell I know a guy that put one on his truck with 35s, he said it's night and day, I agree it would be a big help with the bigger tires. Mine is a 16 as well, I went with this over tuning because of having to swap PCM's as you said. I actually mention that in the video I posted yesterday of my 2 week review of the pedal commander.

Stupid question on a old video but you had any issues or interference between this and the traction control at all?
Is this something you have to turn back every time you start the truck or will it go back to the last setting you had it on?

yeah itll definitely work for the 2014 ram (v6 and v8)
IF anything its a hair quicker just cause the throttle is so much more sentitive..
Not made to be faster just response time
Keepit Real it makes it feel faster and makes it go quicker

@@theodoreraz5055 it makes the the 0-60 time faster even if there's not horsepower increase cuz it takes away the lag so it is faster
@@ere5763 exactly its not increasing power but makes vehicle reach 60mph a lot quicker sounds like a good investment
Can you read? The 0-60 is improved with it. Therefore it DOES make it faster. For goodness sake Jesus help
How is that pedal Commander holding up? And is it still holding up?
I have an 07 Jeep Commander Overland with the 5.7 Hemi in it. I don't understand my pedel. There are times its really heavy and times its light.
It has the auto stick or whatever it's called?
I can't figure out 4th gear. Lol, I can shift it into 4th at 5 grand meaning rpm its like it doesn't like it. If I shift after 5 it's fine. The motor shows redline starting about 5,500/6,000 rpm. It seems to take it without complaining about it.
The Pedal Commander is great, and it do what it say it will do. I am more the pleased with it.
Does this void any warranty on the vehicle. Does anyone know. I have a stock ram 1500 2017 !
It shouldn't, but dealers can be assholes. It takes about 5 mins to remove which is probably what I'll do anytime I head to the dealer.
it doesnt void warrantys because theres no programming being done. it doesnt modify the ecu at all. just cuts out intervals that are sent to the ecu. instead of 1,3,5,7,9 its more like 1,5,10,15,20. so the truck thinks its playing catch up to the ecu rather than modifying the system throwing off other systems. (hope that makes sense)

ive been keeping my eye on this, and it doesnt. I was worried about that since the v6 ram 2016 idles a bit high. but its exactly the same without it.

I just watched your 2 week video I think I'm going to order it. Looks like a nice little add on. I would like a little better peddle response not sure about tuning my truck yet so may go with this.

Difference in gas mileage?
doublejay21 It's actually improved about 1 MPG since I've installed it.Whether that was from the unit itself ordriving conditions I don't know but I definitely can't complain.
Have you got any problems on your ram?
No issues, it's been great. I know the 9drive one causes some issues for people.
My 5.7 Durango has 147000 miles no problems yet besides the brake booster recall

I have the same one and put on my GT Mustang...OMG...don't use sport +...LOL>.it's insane...check out my latest Video....i absolutely love it..I use City +4
rhampton1914 Yeah sport+ is way too much for the street, I run about the same settings you do.
City + 4 seems to be that sweet spot....sometimes i use Sports plus if i'm in normal drive...if you get a chance, maybe you can comment on my Video...Need to let people see that works great on a Mustang........AWESOME!!!!
