I have one. On a Ford Raptor. Don't call it a gimmick or fake. Huge difference from with to without. You can't duplicate what it does by just pressing the gas pedal harder. It does something. No doubt. I loved it at first. That being said, I've had it on for 2 years. I started noticing odd shifting, especially down shifting, or not shifting, at odd times. Like to the point I thought something was f*cked up. I took the Pedal Commander off, and my problems are gone. I don't go by what people "say" ---- I go by what I actually experience, and that is what I've experienced. Did it start to malfunction? Cause havoc with ECU even though it's "not supposed to"? No idea. But as of now, I'm glad it's off.

But, the novelty will wear off. If someone wants to argue that it works or not, I'll win the argument. I laid it out in a different response somewhere, and BEGGED for someone to show me where I was wrong -- and even though LOTS of people reading and responding, no one responded to mine. I actually ended up needed the ECU "cleared" or something by Ford. They said it had to do with the ECU learning your driving habits, etc... anyway. I took it off the Raptor, got ECU cleared, and it went back to normal. I've since traded the Raptor off for a Dodge Ram Rebel.
Just this day put this on my 2014 Ram 1500. Tried all the variations and now am thinking my license is in jeopardy. The quickness of this is off the charts.
I have one in my silverado it had power delay and way sluggish.. pedal commander gives you power boost feeling because it's helps with dead spots in pedal and lag.. I recommend just dont be switching the modes while driving put it in park it can throw engine light

By this I mean you know most don't give that full amount to said veteran. Especially PWW, vet's are lucky to see a 1/3 of that. Again not here to offend anyone and their choices. But if it's my hard earned money I'm giving to help out. I want every cent going to that. Better options, but you still have to research each one. I'd check VFW's. Can even ask any VFW personal, who locally could use the help. Contact the Combat Veterans Association (CVMA) in your area. They are vet's who help vets. There is a group here in Michigan that's called Foundation 14, they help put vet's on bikes. It helps get them back outside to live life again. Check them on TH-cam. Please, research anyone of those. Great video. You may Want to add "don't change modes while pressing pedal" I just got this pedal commander and made that mistake and had no pedal for a moment. Read the tips on the PC site, they say don't change while driving. Ur pedal is "DBW" drive by wire, so this device just gives you a better pedal response. It seems like more HP but it's not. It sure takes off like a rocket in that plus mode. Enjoy. N be safe
Had this on my 2015 F150 ecoboost TT and it was great! The turbos always have a little pedal lag and this cleaned it right up. Plus in bad weather the eco mod really helped.
Great video , just picked one up for my Grand Cherokee. One thing you said in the video is horsepower, you do not gain any horsepower with this unit it simply changes the voltage going from the pedal to the throttle body and creates crisper and faster throttle response since new vehicles are drive by wire. Last thing is the eco mode actually makes the vehicle slower and lessens the voltage and opens the throttle body slower.
I got one in my 17 Silverado I don’t think I will ever have another truck without one. Doesn’t add any hp but throttle response absolutely. Along with the s&b intake exhaust is next
I installed one today on my 2018 gmc sierra and it's a night and day difference. I'm impressed. Yes I know it does not add power, but sure does feel like it does lol. Honestly happy, my truck is not a slug anymore.
Honestly for a eco diesel that’s all you need because it has the power of a hemi but not the speed or acceleration but if you put a pedal commander the turbo kicks in right away and it feels like a hemi with more towing power and can get to 60 a second faster
I have had one in my truck for a few months and you can tell the difference Big Time! I stay in Sport Mode at a +3 setting. Tried out the Sport+ Mode, it was too much, no need for me 😆 Great product and I am very pleased with the performance and ease of installation as well as use with Blue Tooth via cell phone.

IT"S AWESOME! only thing i found was that it will throw an error code if you switch between the powers while accelerating You have to have your foot off the gas when you switch from say city to Eco mode of any of the diff modes. Pricey but does the job. Essentially just changes the range of the pedal. Does not change acceleration or engine power, only how much pedal is needed to go. High tech cars like BMW/Mercedes has this built in to "driving modes". (Surely they don't offer this for such models.)

@@wheresfuninthat some cars will not sprimg the TB wide open right away when you floor it. This gets you around that. It will also open the TB. Wide open faster than you could ever do with just flooring it. So they are worth it if you have a model car that does not have a *sport mode* button. If your car does have a factory button for eco mode or sport mode or both, this is pointless for you.
A lot of guys are using them on their Mopars, but the throttle response is already pretty quick on my SRT8 and don't see the need for them on high hp V8 cars. Although it would be great for non-performance models with lagging response, and can see that would work well in that segment. The pedal commander is the one that I've seen the most and are way overpriced, so this is the best way to go and what I would get a roar pedal at half the price if l ever had the need for one. It does the exact same thing as the commander

I've also got one, but I've got it setup for the preloaded tune right now on my SRT8 and haven't used it for a custom one yet. Not more power, just faster throttle response. It gives you the allusion of more power. I have a Toyota 4Runner, and they are famous, or should I say, INFAMOUS for being like an old woman wearing cement shoes when accelerating. Only 270 hp and around the same for torque; an absolute dog when it comes to power and acceleration. The Pedal Commander should be offered by the dealer as a standard part of the 4Runner package at no additional cost to the buyer. It's a MUST HAVE.
2018 4Runner TRD PRO and I haul an off road trailer and the PC in Sport +4 and it's just makes a big difference. City mode is just perfect for driving around town.
I recommend trying out the Banks Pedal Monster because the Banks Pedal Monster is the only throttle booster that turns off when you put the vehicle in reverse which is A much safer option. It also gets its power from the OBD port so you will never get dead pedal because if it were to ever malfunction it automatically turns off and goes back to stock.
Did you know the OBD2 port is not designed for constant power draws especially while driving? The reason people have issues with the PC is not because of the product itself but because of their terrible install instructions. It takes a lot longer than 15 minutes in newer vehicles for the ECU to shutdown completely
It does increase power bro... but not the way YOU think... it increases the hp ur car has to be higher in reaching hp than if u didnt have it. Ur car GAINS hp way faster... u gotta paint a picture to undsrsrand the correct way

I can tell you this, When I smash the pedal to the floor without the pedal commander, there is a major difference when pedal commander is hooked up and on sport 4+++. When you get used to sport 4++++, driving without it is so boring.
Since pedal booster is enhancing throttle response it doesn't make your car faster, but it does make it accelerate faster and quicker almost by 2 seconds depending on the car.

Yeah but is there a way to decrease that factory delay without using this gadget? I have a 6 speed 2019 Jetta and alls I want is a more sensitive throttle from a dead stand still take off. Right now this car seems really inconsistent at that low end take off.
Cause my 2011 ram 3500 diesel to throw a code twice, and go into limp mode, good thing I carry a code reader so I could clear the code. I took it off. No need to deal with it throwing codes whole on yhe highway.
Us guy here at Toyota love it when you guys install a power commander or any kind of after market engine mod. The look on your face when you bring it in for any type of warranty work and I tell you your warranty is voided because you put an after market engine mod on your brand new Toyota. Just this week we had a customer try to fool us and take his off before he brought it in........Guess what his EMC ratted him out and told us about the power commander...Good luck guys.
Had this device on my 2015 Tundra and it does work but will not be ever-lasting. Had for approx. 2 1/2 years and started to see on my dash an error alert. "Traction Control Disabled". I could start my truck but it would not move. Unplugged my negative cable and reattached then it worked and drove fine for a while. Removed this device after the 3rd instance and haven't had any issues since, more than 6 months. At $299 for 2 1/2 years is okay but will not purchase another one. Just my 2 cents...
To all the people saying it’s a 50 cent part..... they do work.......technically. They just open the throttle body instantly instead of a delay and I know this because I have tested this. Again it won’t add any power but in theory you should get a “quicker launch” because your opening the throttle body all the way instantly and flooding it with air which in theory will add more power because it would run it more lean. So while you won’t gain massive horsepower you will definitely feel the response in the low end due to the leaning of the motor. Probably won’t feel much high end it anything at all due to the throttle body already mostly open and sucking in a lot of air.

Don't buy a Pedal Commander. Fixed it for you. Those things are not worth the headache and safety concerns. There are better devices out there that don't leave you stranded when they fail.
I don't have 1 but, I am thinking of buying 1. I know it doesn't add HP but if you have quicker throttle response that will take time off 0-60 time because the throttle opens quicker.

Have this on my 2007 chevy impala ss and I love it. Car is professionally tuned with a great engine and transmission. The reaction my car gives is quick and fast, very responsive! I've had for a year now with no problems. Even used military code and got new for $250. Many people hate and say its bad for the impala ss but i tell them, your car is not mine and my car is not yours! True don't add power but it does wake your vehicle up. I love it I ride sport +4. Daily

Last year I installed a Corsa exhaust and K&N cold air intake on my 2018 Colorado. I get my pedal commander today. I can't wait to see how this improves my ride.
@captainobvious5349 absolute awesomeness. The sound is great. Yeah, I have a V6 but it sounds like a high performance V6. The intake whistles from the increased airflow and people can hear it when you ride by. The pedal commander changed everything though. Woke that V6 right on up. I have a V8 step-side Silverado that I have a bunch of work done to and I would say the Colorado wouldn't beat it, but it will damn sure stay in the paint. It's a little pricey from the exhaust and it's custom order. Be prepared to wait on Corsa...of course yours might be a little more common. Just do it. Buy it. If you drive regular, you WILL save on gas. Put your foot in it and you'll get the power you want.

You dont have to put it in park, as long as you come to a complete stop and then switch it, your fine.
Just put this in my f-350. Response is insane in sport+ mode. Can't wait to see what tuner with this is like.

Although it would be great for non-performance models with lagging response, and can see that would work well in that segment. The pedal commander is the one that I've seen the most and are way overpriced, so this is the best way to go and what I would get a roar pedal at half the price if l ever had the need for one. It does the exact same thing as the commander
Yeah I agree I have a Diablo Tuner on my SRT8.. This Pedal commander is overpriced.. at $150 I would consider it. not $300.

I've also got one, but I've got it setup for the preloaded tune right now on my SRT8 and haven't used it for a custom one yet. Have you ever checked into that before, or heard of anyone using them for it ?

I reached out to a well known tuner named Yohan and he quoted 150 to 200 for a custom tune

Dropping delay significantly and not wasting time to get into the powerband makes a difference when trying to accelerate 0-60.
Not more power, just faster throttle response. It gives you the allusion of more power. I have a Toyota 4Runner, and they are famous, or should I say, INFAMOUS for being like an old woman wearing cement shoes when accelerating. Only 270 hp and around the same for torque; an absolute dog when it comes to power and acceleration. The Pedal Commander should be offered by the dealer as a standard part of the 4Runner package at no additional cost to the buyer. It's a MUST HAVE.
This device is one of the top two bolt-ons, I have done to my car, am so glad I've purchased this, it's so much fun especially in sport mode.

2018 4Runner TRD PRO and I haul an off road trailer and the PC in Sport +4 and it's just makes a big difference. City mode is just perfect for driving around town.

I recommend trying out the Banks Pedal Monster because the Banks Pedal Monster is the only throttle booster that turns off when you put the vehicle in reverse which is A much safer option. It also gets its power from the OBD port so you will never get dead pedal because if it were to ever malfunction it automatically turns off and goes back to stock.

Did you know the OBD2 port is not designed for constant power draws especially while driving? The reason people have issues with the PC is not because of the product itself but because of their terrible install instructions. It takes a lot longer than 15 minutes in newer vehicles for the ECU to shutdown completely

It does not increase your power, its takes away the lag in the communication between the sensor/pedal and throttle .

I can tell you this, When I smash the pedal to the floor without the pedal commander, there is a major difference when pedal commander is hooked up and on sport 4+++. When you get used to sport 4++++, driving without it is so boring.

Since pedal booster is enhancing throttle response it doesn't make your car faster, but it does make it accelerate faster and quicker almost by 2 seconds depending on the car.
So if your o-60 is 5sec .with pedal commander its 3sec ? I highly doubt that

Us guy here at Toyota love it when you guys install a power commander or any kind of after market engine mod. The look on your face when you bring it in for any type of warranty work and I tell you your warranty is voided because you put an after market engine mod on your brand new Toyota. Just this week we had a customer try to fool us and take his off before he brought it in........Guess what his EMC ratted him out and told us about the power commander...Good luck guys.

Throttle response on newer vehicles is the most noticeable when you're trying to rock out of snow..... its sooooooo annoying
Had this device on my 2015 Tundra and it does work but will not be ever-lasting. Had for approx. 2 1/2 years and started to see on my dash an error alert. "Traction Control Disabled". I could start my truck but it would not move. Unplugged my negative cable and reattached then it worked and drove fine for a while. Removed this device after the 3rd instance and haven't had any issues since, more than 6 months. At $299 for 2 1/2 years is okay but will not purchase another one. Just my 2 cents...
To all the people saying it’s a 50 cent part..... they do work.......technically. They just open the throttle body instantly instead of a delay and I know this because I have tested this. Again it won’t add any power but in theory you should get a “quicker launch” because your opening the throttle body all the way instantly and flooding it with air which in theory will add more power because it would run it more lean. So while you won’t gain massive horsepower you will definitely feel the response in the low end due to the leaning of the motor. Probably won’t feel much high end it anything at all due to the throttle body already mostly open and sucking in a lot of air.

Don't buy a Pedal Commander. Fixed it for you. Those things are not worth the headache and safety concerns. There are better devices out there that don't leave you stranded when they fail.

Have this on my 2007 chevy impala ss and I love it. Car is professionally tuned with a great engine and transmission. The reaction my car gives is quick and fast, very responsive! I've had for a year now with no problems. Even used military code and got new for $250. Many people hate and say its bad for the impala ss but i tell them, your car is not mine and my car is not yours! True don't add power but it does wake your vehicle up. I love it I ride sport +4. Daily

@captainobvious5349 absolute awesomeness. The sound is great. Yeah, I have a V6 but it sounds like a high performance V6. The intake whistles from the increased airflow and people can hear it when you ride by. The pedal commander changed everything though. Woke that V6 right on up. I have a V8 step-side Silverado that I have a bunch of work done to and I would say the Colorado wouldn't beat it, but it will damn sure stay in the paint. It's a little pricey from the exhaust and it's custom order. Be prepared to wait on Corsa...of course yours might be a little more common. Just do it. Buy it. If you drive regular, you WILL save on gas. Put your foot in it and you'll get the power you want.
