I have that same tuner I used for my 17 Ram I'm using the 93 tune along with the trans and throttle sensitivity turned all the way up. I've also got a CAI and a magnaflow exhaust and went to a 87mm throttle body from 80 and I also put an electric fan in and eliminated my clutch fan and put a cooler thermostat in and reset my cooling parameters for this Florida heat. I've also got the 3.92 Rear and the 8 speed trans with 20 inch wheels. She runs like a champ..💪💪👍👍. The one thing I do want to do is put headers on but need to take to a shop I don't want to snap any bolts.

@@TheGoldmineshaft I bought the tuner with the unlocked PCM and when it came in the mail all I had to do is take my locked PCM out of my vehicle and send it back to them which lessens the cost. If you don't send yours back they will charge you full price. I think it was around 500 for both the PCM and tuner.
I did that E-fan V6 fan swap but have yet to changed out my thermostat to an 180 stat. I recently bought a diablo tuner. I am wanting to tune the fan temperature settings but idk what it needs to be set to? Do you remember what you set yours too? I will be looking in the forums as well.Thanks
This is my dream truck and dream configuration. You are literally driving my spec for spec dream truck. I got my current ram bu accident while on the hunt for a single cab. I did want a 2014 to not have to unlock the PCM but that stuck is the perfect color. Im in love.
Just for general information, Chrysler has a tendency to run 5.7 a little bit fat on fuel. Tuning that back a little bit does help. And putting better spark plugs than the bullshit Champions they stick in is a good idea as well. I have put iridium spark plugs in these things and they have been wonderful additions to that engine.
Just a warning on the spark plugs if you’re under warranty. They tried to void my engine warranty after I out in ngk iridium plugs in. This was on my 2012 1500 when I got the cam lifter issue. The new motor that replaced it broke a pushrod within 5 miles then the next one had piston slap after 20,000 miles.
I want to fix my truck it’s a 2012 ram 1500 lone star bought oem parts except for the gaskets you think I should’ve bought something else or replace something else before building it back up
I have an i3 Diablosport tuner, it is not as user friendly as I thought upon purchasing it. Once I got it figured out, it has been a useful tool for both my late model Mopars. Have a 91 octane tune installed in my '14 300C hemi car, it allows me to shut off that Godforsaken MDS bullsh!+ and reset all my parameters for fan on/off temps, increased trans shift firmness, and various other settings. It also woke up my '12 Challenger R/T w/M6 trans, you can raise the redline setting in the parameters also. NEVER disconnect the diagnostic plug while installing or reading a tune, you run the risk of having a FUBAR PCM if you do! I had to make a few calls to Diablosport to reset the registry after I found out the stealership flashed my PCM with the custom tune in it and f__ked up the whole thing.......bottom line, install your factory backup tune before you go near a dealership!!!!!! Saves a lot of grief. This was done on an airbag recall on both my cars. I let the service manager know my discontent about this, but they could care less. You can also update it online using the Ignition program, it can be downloaded from diablosport.com/downloads for your laptop. Works great for me! Thanks for a good tutorial on this device!
I remember your 14 you had and the i3 didn't work for your trans tune and you went HP. It's nice to see this time it worked, I love my Jay green tune for my 2012 6spd 5.7
I ran the holley proven package tune for awhile before i got my custom tune from jay greene. In utah 91 is the highest you can get. I ran the 91 for a while before switching to the proven package tune. Night a day difference between those two with the trans tune. Not only power and acceleration, but honestly my mpg was better as well as long as i kept my foot off the floor. Highly recommend the holley proven package tune for those not wanting to go the custom tune route

These things even fit Jeeps! I have a 5.7 Hemi Jeep and I will always stand by tuning especially if you get bad gas mileage already might as well make some more power 😂
I tried a super chips tuner for my 07 ram. It caused all kinds of issues form disabling my remote start and making my signals blink once a second instead of normal speed. Reset my PCM worked fine. Tried several times and had to just return it.

switched from superchips over to a i3 diablosport hemifever tune, and it is a night and day difference. the performance trans tune is decent compared to the stock trans tune. supposedly have one of the few '14s that allowed you to tune the 8hp70. Still playing around with it before I ask sean for a custom trans tune. it is a 2014 ram 1500 black express 8-speed, 180 t-stat, blackhawk k&n, flowmaster super 40, moe's 87mm ported throttle body, bw 44-45 tc, tow package etc, it really is a sweet truck, but yours just looks so clean compared to mine.
I have a 15 ram express in white with the blacked out trims 5.7 am really debating on getting a Diablo tuner ?? I’ve heard the 8HP70 can get damaged messing with the tunes. I got a K&N air intake , Flowmaster 40 series. Trying to keep adding stuff little by little .. Any thoughts on these tuners ??
@@ContinentalAC_Tom its a pretty decent tuner, but doesn't allow you to set manual shift points when tuning the trans, or at least i haven't found that option yet. i'm sure you can get them to work with you.
Curious about the Rev and speed limiter. Will that get rid of the 105 mph gov? Drives me bananas that I hit that 105 wall when there so much more power to go... And that damn Corolla passes me back up because he can go 115. With that stupid little smile of his.

@@HuskerRed11 I ended up buying the Diablo, but my PCM clips were brittle and won’t disconnect with out breaking. To replace them was like $1000. So I held off. I got new clips but have not installed them yet. Once I do, I think I’ll go Diablo.
Is the tuner for more power or better acceleration...I have a 2013 ram rt..It has power but acceleration lags..but once u pass the lag acceleration..the torque kicks in and then it goes! I have seen many videos..of the Diablo tuner..but doesn't really show it is has more power....just better acceleration..I really want to get the lag of the acceleration.. I'm not looking for more power with the tuner just better torque and reduce the lag..u can feel the power but after the u get past the lag acceleration.
I just got my I3 and pcm swap from my 16 ram with the 8 speed. I don't seem to have the trans or tow tune. Basically the only reason I bought the tuner. I did an update before I even plugged it in to the truck.

I’m curious if the MPG boost makes this unit worth it. I did up my intake, added the throttle controller for the slight eco gain, but still don’t even average 15mpg city on my hemi. Would love to see if you get anything good with it
I'm averaging 21.8 on my 17 hemi sometimes more so yes very worth it. I also have a bigger TB as well so I'm getting more air into my engine along with a CAI

I didn’t mention in my original comment but I swapped my stock 17” wheels for aftermarket 20” and I’ve had people try to tell me bc they have a 0mm offset it hurts my mpg. I guess I can see it having some sort of negative effect but fr I should be closer to the 15 mark after all the shit I’ve done already lol
@@325spoon I'm running 20s on my 17 I do drive conservative most of the time but nonetheless I'm averaging anywhere from 21.8 to 22.6 mpg. I also did a clutch fan delete as well and I'm running an electric fan so I took that extra drag off the motor as well.
@@325spoon i’ve got a 2012 on 20 in rims, completely stock besides cats and muffler deletes, i used to average a little over 15mpg, now i don’t because i usually speed everywhere lol, but i can easily hit 15mpg without any tunes.
Best thing I ever did for my truck was buy a tuner. My tuner is an old Bullydog though. Does basically the same things. I personally found that custom shift points for the transmission helped my quarter mile times the most. Sweet spot was 5600 rpm for me. I have an older Ram with the 5 speed automatic though. May be different for yours.
Where do you get the PCM unlocked ? I have a very expensive Autel scanner bidirectional that I can communicate with the PCM and command things to turn off and on can I unlock it ?

question. after i did the advanced tune on 87 octane. I then went to change tires and throttle and a cpl other things. the only one that has the " save" option was the throttle change. When i changed the tire size and shut off the msd it doesnt have a save option. how do i know if its been changed or of its the same setting if it doesnt have the save button?
Does it tell you what fuel is required for the Holley proven tune? My truck has headers/cat back and CAI so I’d be interested in that tune prior to a custom file. However I live in Utah where 91 is the highest octane option aside from boosting octane with a supplemental additive which is a pain.

Two trucks ago I sure enjoyed my tuner it was also a diagnostic scanner code reader it worked perfect my last truck had work done don't know what it was really fast also dangerous the throttle would stick wide open if you would floor it on interstate it wouldn't come out of it ends up stomping the brake pumping it and it would come out of it now I have a new truck have some upgrades in place and exhaust air intake and looking for a tuner but also I would like a scan tool I've been told it's the same situation with scan tools does anyone know if you can buy a scan tool for 19 and up Ram without spending $3,000?
How do you reprogram engine to operate properly after cam phaser limiter is installed??? I’m about to Install a stage 2 camshaft + MDS delete (I can use an OBD2 for the MDS). Can I use an OBD2 for reprogramming the cam phaser tables? I keep looking online but I can’t find anything. Can the i3 be used for this purpose or is there something out there I can buy to get this reprogrammed correctly? Or am I screwed and have to go to a shop to have reprogrammed? Hello I have a 2012 ram 5.7, it has a cold air intake, e fan, and some other smaller stuff like a 180 thermostat, I wanna get into the performance side do you think a diablosport trinity is a good way to start? I wanna install a tune myself and not have to go to a tuner or a professional because I still wanna get long tube headers and I want to be able to install them and get a custom tune for the setup later on, what do you recommend?
I have a diablo I3 tuner on a 2014 ram 1500 5.7 has all the same PCM tunes available running a 87 tune at the moment modified parameters adjusted the throttle I notice the difference. I tried to turn off MDS and it won't MDS is stuck on. And there's no trans (tcm) tunes available. What should I do
I just purchased the I3 platinum and I don’t get the performance trans option. Just says modify stock tune. Options are tire size and remove speedo limit. Nothing else. All updates are done.Right now I have the Holley proven package tune installed. Should I contact Diablosport? 2015 1500 sport unlocked PCM through DS. Brand new I3 platinum
Update: Contacted DS and they got me squared away with my trans tune option. It’s great to actually talk to a human and they literally did everything they could to get me going and even staying on the phone after business hours just to do diagnostics. They said my case is rare. Huge thanks for their customer support!!
I just got the same tuner for my 2010 hemi but I'm not able to to tune. I updated the device. When I try to tune my truck a message pops up saying "you do not have any remaining licenses available" but it's my first time using. Can someone explain?
So, I'm just curious John. What's the difference between that 5.7, and the one in my 2015 Ram? With mine they have warned me that I absolutely have to use mid grade, or high test fuel, but you said you are using regular 87 octane. Why does my truck require 89 octane or better?
Same thing. You can run 87 it will just ping if you are doing heavy towing or if you are going to be heavy on the gas definitely put higher octane but you can cruise around 87 no problem

I just installed Longtubes on my truck it’s a 2018 5.7 every time I turn left it feels like it’s binding and it’s getting tuff to turn ? But the steering rack ain’t hittin on the headers do you know what it could be ?

Isn't this a re-upload? You ended up not liking this tuner and going to the other brand. So what gives? And can you change what temp the fan mod comes on with this tuner? The comments on your old video said you couldn't set what temp you want the fan to come on if you have the v6 fan mod. Is that true?
Just got this today, put the 87 tune on it and turned the meds off but when I tried to advance the throttle, it wouldn't let me adjust it. It's on an 09 RAM. Anyone know anything about it?

Iridium ix plugs by ngk works the best in my truck.
I have a 16, so I got the unlocked pcm, diablo tuner, and the Hemifever engine/trans tune. It was well worth the money!
So if i unlocked the pcm for my car, can i remove the speed limiter with the diablo device or no?

Yea they set the speed limiter to 185 mph i bealive no one has tried hitting that wall haha

It fixes all that and even has a trans tune it makes tha hemi redline till 7k rpm
What speed do u feel the lag?? Headers help wake up that torque

, I'm new to this tune stuff, but I've been watching your videos for I can't remember how long. I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Sport. 5.7 L of course. I guess that means I have the locked PCM. Can you get your PCM unlocked or do you have to purchase an unlocked PCM? Curious because I do want to do this correctly. Thank you so much!
You can get the puslar that replaces you factory PCM. So if you want to go back to stock just swap them out.
Alot of shops will unlock it for around 250$ but alot of tuners come eqquipped with a unlocked ecu ready to go
how often do you have to set it that way? Every time you get into it? Or dies it stay that way for a while?
Will this tuner work for a 2500 with the 5.7? It’s a 16. I know I’ll have to unlock the pcm somehow
I’m curious if the MPG boost makes this unit worth it. I did up my intake, added the throttle controller for the slight eco gain, but still don’t even average 15mpg city on my hemi. Would love to see if you get anything good with it
I'm averaging 21.8 on my 17 hemi sometimes more so yes very worth it. I also have a bigger TB as well so I'm getting more air into my engine along with a CAI

I didn’t mention in my original comment but I swapped my stock 17” wheels for aftermarket 20” and I’ve had people try to tell me bc they have a 0mm offset it hurts my mpg. I guess I can see it having some sort of negative effect but fr I should be closer to the 15 mark after all the shit I’ve done already lol
@@325spoon I'm running 20s on my 17 I do drive conservative most of the time but nonetheless I'm averaging anywhere from 21.8 to 22.6 mpg. I also did a clutch fan delete as well and I'm running an electric fan so I took that extra drag off the motor as well.

@@325spoon i’ve got a 2012 on 20 in rims, completely stock besides cats and muffler deletes, i used to average a little over 15mpg, now i don’t because i usually speed everywhere lol, but i can easily hit 15mpg without any tunes.

Best thing I ever did for my truck was buy a tuner. My tuner is an old Bullydog though. Does basically the same things. I personally found that custom shift points for the transmission helped my quarter mile times the most. Sweet spot was 5600 rpm for me. I have an older Ram with the 5 speed automatic though. May be different for yours.

You have to plug in only when you're tuning/changing settings.

Where do you get the PCM unlocked ? I have a very expensive Autel scanner bidirectional that I can communicate with the PCM and command things to turn off and on can I unlock it ?

question. after i did the advanced tune on 87 octane. I then went to change tires and throttle and a cpl other things. the only one that has the " save" option was the throttle change. When i changed the tire size and shut off the msd it doesnt have a save option. how do i know if its been changed or of its the same setting if it doesnt have the save button?
Does it tell you what fuel is required for the Holley proven tune? My truck has headers/cat back and CAI so I’d be interested in that tune prior to a custom file. However I live in Utah where 91 is the highest octane option aside from boosting octane with a supplemental additive which is a pain.

Two trucks ago I sure enjoyed my tuner it was also a diagnostic scanner code reader it worked perfect my last truck had work done don't know what it was really fast also dangerous the throttle would stick wide open if you would floor it on interstate it wouldn't come out of it ends up stomping the brake pumping it and it would come out of it now I have a new truck have some upgrades in place and exhaust air intake and looking for a tuner but also I would like a scan tool I've been told it's the same situation with scan tools does anyone know if you can buy a scan tool for 19 and up Ram without spending $3,000?
How do you reprogram engine to operate properly after cam phaser limiter is installed??? I’m about to Install a stage 2 camshaft + MDS delete (I can use an OBD2 for the MDS). Can I use an OBD2 for reprogramming the cam phaser tables? I keep looking online but I can’t find anything.
Can the i3 be used for this purpose or is there something out there I can buy to get this reprogrammed correctly? Or am I screwed and have to go to a shop to have reprogrammed?

You could try one of the preloaded tunes and see if it will change it. Otherwise you might have to get a custom tune.

Hello I have a 2012 ram 5.7, it has a cold air intake, e fan, and some other smaller stuff like a 180 thermostat, I wanna get into the performance side do you think a diablosport trinity is a good way to start? I wanna install a tune myself and not have to go to a tuner or a professional because I still wanna get long tube headers and I want to be able to install them and get a custom tune for the setup later on, what do you recommend?

I have a diablo I3 tuner on a 2014 ram 1500 5.7 has all the same PCM tunes available running a 87 tune at the moment modified parameters adjusted the throttle I notice the difference. I tried to turn off MDS and it won't MDS is stuck on. And there's no trans (tcm) tunes available. What should I do

I just purchased the I3 platinum and I don’t get the performance trans option. Just says modify stock tune. Options are tire size and remove speedo limit. Nothing else. All updates are done.Right now I have the Holley proven package tune installed. Should I contact Diablosport?

Contacted DS and they got me squared away with my trans tune option. It’s great to actually talk to a human and they literally did everything they could to get me going and even staying on the phone after business hours just to do diagnostics. They said my case is rare. Huge thanks for their customer support!!
I just got the same tuner for my 2010 hemi but I'm not able to to tune. I updated the device. When I try to tune my truck a message pops up saying "you do not have any remaining licenses available" but it's my first time using. Can someone explain?

So, I'm just curious John. What's the difference between that 5.7, and the one in my 2015 Ram? With mine they have warned me that I absolutely have to use mid grade, or high test fuel, but you said you are using regular 87 octane. Why does my truck require 89 octane or better?
Same thing. You can run 87 it will just ping if you are doing heavy towing or if you are going to be heavy on the gas definitely put higher octane but you can cruise around 87 no problem
You should be able to run 87 octane if you put in a 160 stat run 170 water temp and no pinging.

I just installed Longtubes on my truck it’s a 2018 5.7 every time I turn left it feels like it’s binding and it’s getting tuff to turn ? But the steering rack ain’t hittin on the headers do you know what it could be ?
I had to relocate my oil dipstick and hammer the headers alittle so it wont hit the steering rack

I have a 2015 Ram, with this I can tune it for the headers? Also how can I keep my trans temp low, average temp is 186-190 and I’m not hard on it just cruising. At some points it drops to 174 which is perfect for me but it’s rare

Isn't this a re-upload? You ended up not liking this tuner and going to the other brand. So what gives? And can you change what temp the fan mod comes on with this tuner? The comments on your old video said you couldn't set what temp you want the fan to come on if you have the v6 fan mod. Is that true?
