Thank you so much. I thought I was doing everything right yet my energy was still lagging. Realizing that I inherited my mdNA from my slow-moving, overweight mother I decided to dive more deeply into the understanding of Mitochondria. Your video helps a lot.

Mitochondrial dysfunction stars with circadian rhythm dysfunction. There lies your starting point. Light, water, magnetism. Food is farther down the line.

Thank you!! I’ve been trying to find out if smoking affects the mitochondria and hadn’t found an answer. But you answered! That’s the motivation I need to quit.

Hey Dr. Hyman, thanks for discussing this invaluable info about the mitochondria. I don't think people understand how important they are. I use ALA and CoQ10 extensively in my practice. Thank you again.

I'm curious about dental impants/fillings and if having metal in the mouth will eventually lead to cancer or some kind of brain cell damage? Given exposure to metals has been known to do harm to the body.

When you say “how you are making energy”, is it really “YOU” though? Mitochondria is an alien microorganism in the human body that’s been here since who knows when. If it shocks anyone, look it up. Mitochondria is not an original cell in the body, it is a different organism with its own separate DNA. I never thought about it deeply enough until recently, but it’s curious how we need (?) a separate organism to do all the functions listed in this video.
Can anyone answer when it appeared in our bodies? And what was BEFORE mitochondria (if there was)? Do you think it possible to survive without it?
