I love this because your message is serious however you do not take it serious presenting it in a way that it is non-threatening if you will. It's just facts and logic.

Auto-immune diseases can be treated with 6000-10000 IU D3 a day spread over twice a day. Also I found drops were not as affective for me as gummies .. Yet, as soon as I started supplementing biotin, I no longer had problems with hypoglycemia that mysteriously started plaguing me in my 50s. Coincidentally or not, that's about when I stopped taking a multivitamin that I'd taken my entire life.

15:53 I can attest to this. I eat a pretty well-balanced diet. Averaging about 6 cups of fruit and veg on a daily basis, 12 glasses of water (because I live in a hot climate), approx 75 g of protein daily, healthy fats and about 4000 to 6000 steps daily. Still, I've had terrible hairloss because of a stressful job and a recent injury. Supplementation brought my body back into some kind of balance, stemmed the hair shedding within one month and thickened my hair over the next few months.

Dr. Hyman, this was incredibly informative. The discussion about long-term deficiencies leading to chronic issues made me think of how common these hidden problems are. Many people experience fatigue or other issues without realizing it’s due to something like a magnesium deficiency, which can often be corrected with proper supplementation. Your advice on testing rather than guessing is crucial.
Given the widespread nature of deficiencies, what tests or panels do you recommend for getting a comprehensive view of nutrient levels?

I would like to know what you recommend as far as brands for especially multi minerals that are easily absorbable. Would you also recommend a functional medicine Drs in Tulsa, Oklahoma area. I am 70 years old and on Medicare I don’t know if it covers functional medicine. I have suffered from allergies all my life and it has gotten worse where I cannot touch my dog because I start itching. I wake in the middle of the night several times with stuffy nose because I can’t breathe. I am suffering.

You are what you eat. Your diet impacts your health.
Lower stress, reduce obesity, get enough sleep and more exercise are key to a healthy life.
Obesity in children and adults is rising across the world.
Fast food and sugary drinks including fruit juices are contributing to the problem of poor health and obesity.
Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly.
Reduce or ELIMINATE cows milk, eggs, cheese and meat. Eat more salad greens, beans, fruit and vegetables. Eliminate fast food, snacks like cookies, cakes, chips, and sugary drinks and juices.
Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly.
Regular exercise will help you sleep better. Yoga is a great stress reducer.
Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Get off the phone, ipad or video game.
A variety of stretching and other exercises help with increased mobility.
Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun.
Every city should be a bicycle city.

Doctors don't get any nutritional education period! Their job is to prescribe meds, NOT to get to the root of the problem. For sure! Last year my bloodwork was terrible. I'm not overweight, but ate a normal American diet. High ldl, low hdl, high triglycerides. My md told me to lower cholesterol foods, eat less red meat and eat less saturated fat and recheck in 2 months. I did that and everything went up, tg to 333. Thank goodness I found Mark Hyman, Casey Means and others. Changed my diet completely. My hdl went up 25, ldl went down 35 and tgs to 74. My md asked what I did. Told him I'm eating a high fat, low carb, high cholesterol diet of mostly whole foods!
