I was severely traumatized years ago as a teenage, got diagnosed with cptsd. Spent my whole life fighting cptsd. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly, 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

I'm so very happy for you, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.

Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

Yes, you are right. But to heal from this, we need to connect with a higher sense of ourselves to get out of our head and not ruminate. There's many ways you can do this. But you have to be the father and mother you might not have had to yourself, or the friend you wish you had or want to be for another person in pain. Have first compassion and love for yourself and take yourself serious and worthy of this-because you truly are. We were born with the gift of consciousness and self-awareness and while there are constant risks of being hurt, there is the beauty of love-and even of forgiveness-of the experience itself to be alive! That triumphs over of past. And in opening yourself to God, you can heal. Again, step away from the pain and rumination. Embrace more and more of life and what beauty in has to offer. In comparison, the ugliness of human nature is but the excrement of a mosquito in the mighty oceans: it is nugatory and greatly overcome and washed away into nothingness by the grandeur of the beauty of human nature and this holy gift of existence.

cPTSD is real. I didn't know the rage I was carrying until I ran into one of my teen year bullies. He was the loudest of the group and relentlessly tormented me. I ended up getting in body building and olympic lifting in my junior year and shunned people out for years. In college, I took up strength training and got into Brazilian jujitsu and then later boxing, Muay Thai, and Escrima. I loved the physical challenges of the sports but realize now I was compensating for having been left physically intimidated and unable at that time to defend myself. Two years after college, I was visiting family and while helping my uncle load a host of gardening items at the Home Depot, I heard a familiar mocking voice. "Ah. You a gardener now?" I turn around and there he was with one of my other former bullies and (presumably) his girlfriend. I cannot describe that sinking feeling I had that was a mix of rage, fear, and shame. Even though I could literally have overhead pressed him and broken his limbs before be knew what hit him, I was frozen in fear and instantly felt like that scrawny little kid bullied by guys two years older than him. But something primal came out of me the instant later and I dropped the rakes in my hands and walked right up to him putting my face into his. "Yeah. I'm a gardener. And I like digging. Want to come and help? I'm sure I can find a hole for you." His face froze in fear and I'm not going to lie: I enjoyed it in his eyes. I told them in a most un-Christian fashion to best move along before I picked back up the rakes and found an alternative use for them that they'd be in the need of a proctologist to remove. It wasn't quite put in those terms though. And they did indeed go about their loser way.
It was during that ride back home with my uncle that I spoke of all that happened openly for the first time. He listened, quietly. I felt heard. It was good to be felt heard and not judged. And then after a few seconds, he nodded and said how life deals us trauma and sometimes though it hurts bad it can be a gift of strength but you must harness its darkness and overcome it. He then told me what he went through in Viet Nam. I hadn't any idea of that side of him and felt guilty learning of his trauma and thinking I had it rough. But it was God, faith and love-self-love and love of this wondrous creation and life we have been gifted that made me open my heart back again to humanity. Connecting with nature and others has healed me. You have to go to war with your mind and not let the past rule it. You rule it and only God is your Master. I thank God I didn't commit violence that day and learned too I had self-control and have a protective spirit over others. There are good people in the world and that is easy to forget and so many are hurt in life. And this also applies to my bullies, who I later learned had a very rough abusive upbringing. Not excusing what they did, but it puts things in perspective. Be a force for good-for yourself first and others and in that order. You cannot help others if not well first and doing right by you. You deserve a sense of safety, happiness, and health in body and mind. So put in the work to heal. Find a good hobby and connect with good people and your faith. Life's too short to hate and hold on to pain. And we have enough miserable, angry people running around hurting too many. It starts and ends with us, however undeservedly the pain life might have dealt us.

@johnrobertd748 EMDR is a type of talk therapy. It's helped so many survivors move forward in their life. Another trauma therapy is called Internal Family Systems. This is the method that my therapist and I are in. I use coping techniques that are EMDR coping techniques. When someone in EMDR is stuck, therapists uses I.F.S. to get them unstuck. With I.F.S. you find the parts of you that are "bad" and listen to find out what it needs, what it's wants, and how you can help that part heal. I've been in this type of therapy for 2 years now. My flashbacks don't cause pain or panic. My anxiety I control to maintain a level where I'm comfortable. Same with Depression. It helps aids you in emotional responses when you're overwhelmed or are over sharing. I can now go from panic to calm in under 5 minutes. My last flashback actually I didn't have to use any of the techniques my body is now understanding that the flashback is not real and I can control the outcome. My body knows that if triggered I am the hero that stops the abuse so it doesn't have to respond in panic anymore. It's incredibly painful in the beginning. Take notes and use coping techniques as much as you can do that your body knows what to do. I have to do one method every 5 minutes to keep anxiety at my level. When I first learned the technique I had to set an alarm to remind myself. I started at 20 minutes, worked until I got down to 5 minutes. Now, I don't need reminders, it just does it by memory now. It's a lot of crying. It's a lot of allowing yourself to open up and trust a person with all the fear. All the shame and guilt. The reward though, is bringing back Hope. It's bringing peace. It brings joy.

Thanks Kayleen! I've been dealing with CPTSD for some time and it has affected my whole life. I've had loss of loved ones, many types of abuse, and all kinds of other stuff. The time of year when these things happen make me extremely sad, I don't want to get out of bed, or eat, or talk to anyone or anything. I can't focus or follow through on anything. I just want to get off the merry-go-round.

Hi this was absolutely amazing and really eye opening. This system actually makes a ton of sense too but I'm wondering what about the enlargened amygdala and shrunken hippocamus that is also often associated with C-PTSD and trauma? That plays a role in memory suppression and fear and anxiety and contributes to the need for coping mechanisms. Is there anyway to also address that?

    • @oonaghmolyneux7760
      @oonaghmolyneux7760 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Heidi Priebe (TH-cam) covers cptsd issues & healing really well. She says people with cptsd have multiple complex problems, no support, and unable to self soothe (to feel safe and have secure attachment). Dr Tracy Marks (TH-cam) says the amygdala is enlarged permanently in child abuse. Paul McKenna’s (TH-cam) Confidence hypnosis positive affirmations really build resilience. A trauma therapist helped lift my freeze response and start doing what I need to do. She told me to feel my anger, write an angry letter, then burn it. Basically tell all those those toxic people and experiences to get out of your way, you are taking your self interest back. Which we all need.

30 minutes video and a lot of explaining, but you're missing the last piece of the puzzle to "how to heal PTSD".
HOW do you take it from the long term to the working memory? That seems like the way to heal, so why isn't that explained?

    • @OvercomingPTSD

This is a great question!! And great job watching so closely! This video was to explain the fact that PTSD could be healed and give an overall explanation of why it’s possible but in future videos I will be covering tools that actually take information from the long term memory and put it into the working memory for processing! Each of those tools are pretty extensive so they will each have their own video! :)

Hey Donnella! Great question, here's what I always say... If your past is negatively affecting your present then you're in need of healing. Really my program helps people heal from trauma, and trauma affects people differently...it can be diagnosed as PTSD, GAD, BPD, etc. but most of the time, if not all of the time, the root comes back to a trauma in your past. So if you've been through a trauma the program will 100% help you. Happy to answer any other questions you have! :)

Actually though, healing is possible. The one word I don't like is "cured" for example, I am healing from my abuse. I'm not cured because I still have flashbacks. With healing I've learned that I don't have to panic any longer. I can become a hero in my own worst nightmare. I use coping techniques to do these things. I still disassociate. I can now communicate to others that I do this, and simply just lightly grab my attention before talking about something important goes a long way in my relationships with friends and family. You can't say that that is not healing. I'm not cured, but healing, yes I am.

Oxidative stress linked to all. Once things are depleted whole system can malfunction. Need to restore the system, to restore healing, to achieve entire best self. There should be no reason to deal with any memories if the body and brain is healed. Then the memories may still need looked at and stored properly but there should be no anxiety if the body is working properly to reduce the anxiety. I don’t know the answer but I know I’m on the right track. I need to speak with you. Not sure how to get in touch with you but please let me know.

I do not see why you would unintentionally store the raw information in order to protect yourself in the future. I think that the reason might be that you do that because the traumatic event is so powerful, otherwise it would not be traumatic for you, would it?, that the feelings involved in that particular moment don´t allow you to think rationally (as in the working memory case) and you store the whole experience (both the data and the feelings involved) ready to be flashbacked in the future. It is the "protect yourself" rationale that I don´t quite understand.

    • @ififallithurtslea4170
      @ififallithurtslea4170 ปีที่แล้ว +3

If you were being chased by a lion about to be ate then your body would start a “trauma response”. It would use all energy stores to either fight or flee. Then, if you couldn’t flee you would “collapse” or “dissociate”. The “dissociating at the time of trauma” is a key factor to developing PTSD or C-PTSD. Without the dissociation you still have trauma but it wouldn’t be considered PTSD or C-PTSD. It would then be considered something else but all would create some sort of un-dealt anxiety or depression. A normal stress response is a healthy response where you can be alert and stay safe. Knowing the risks in your mind. PTSD or C-PTSD cause you to again dissociate in the next context as well as to avoid the unbearable as to what your mind is telling you is inevitable. Although, often this response is actually more dangerous and you’re less capable of acting appropriately and keep yourself safe. Dissociation would help you numb the pain if you were being ate alive by an animal. It would make passing more peaceful which in theory sounds nice. It is nice. But when someone has an abnormal stress response to something they HAVE to come in contact with or would actually like to come in contact with then it can do nothing but limit your life and potentially stop you from functioning completely. There’s more of an answer than “avoid”. Avoiding is not always possible. Healing your body and your brain has to be the answer. Period.

This is a great full video topic...but I'll answer you here the best I can....
There's a part of you that has been hurt by the abuse and likely distrusts people and even yourself....because it's afraid if it opens up it's heart it will get hurt again.
To be able to feel empathy and love again this part of you that got hurt must be listened to, helped, and healed....first regaining trust with yourself, and then if you so choose, regaining trust with people and the world around you.
I would first start with working with it yourself, and rebuilding the self love and self trust.

I have CPTSD and no, long term trauma can never be cured. You can learn to deal with it/live, you can learn where and how triggers show up, etc., but healing? Unfortunately no. Yes, you can relieve symptoms through various methods. But healing? Never. Maybe it's a matter of severity, but severe CPTDS cannot be cured. I studied developmental psychology and have had many years of (beneficial and helpful) trauma therapy without medication. This is absolutely possible with a lot of work and, above all, TIME! What you are telling here may be your truth, but a trauma brain can never be cured. Especially if it comes from childhood. Yes, symptoms can be relieved, but they will always be there. You're giving hope here instead of showing what really helps, such as breathing therapy, etc., endurance sports, yoga, Tay Che, etc. The main thing is SWEATING, sweating out stress hormones/shutting down, having a pet that you have to take care of like you have to take care of yourself, I like to do collages to get out of my head, do body-oriented therapy, go into nature, cook fresh food, strive for peace and quiet in life. Learning to set boundaries, taking care of yourself, avoiding toxic people, not drinking alcohol, etc. These are things that really help. CPTDS is a life of constant burnout. That's why it's called CPTSD. You have to learn to use your resources carefully so that you can live somewhat independently, such as going to work, etc.

Long term trauma can 100% be cured....Kayleen had it for 17 years and no longer does...I had it for many years, almost a decade, and no longer do...and we've helped thousands more...and met and talked to many more who've healed.
The proof is there in the real world, many just don't want to see it, or claim that people never had "real" PTSD/CPTSD in the first place.
The only reason someone wouldn't heal is...
      1. They're using the wrong tools (coping vs processing)
      2. They believe it's impossible to heal and have thus given up trying
      3. Haven't used the tools long enough to develop mastery
      4. Aren't spending enough TIME processing (think 1 therapy session per week to heal a lifetime of trauma)
      And more...
That's just off the top of my head.
      I see people heal everyday...literally.
It's just whether or not people want to believe in healing or not...and whether or not they're willing to learn the tools AND put in the hard work.
Just because it's hard doesn't mean it's impossible...and it is hard and painful...but so worth it!

Not someone on You Tube who is just that -someone on You tube who is a not a licensed therapist in IFS, OR EMDR. She is not correct in many of her statements. Please always let people know, if you are licensed you should let the audience know before claiming you can cure it!

You can heal PTSD/CPTSD 100% -- Nothing wrong with finding a good therapist, but many also don't believe in full recovery...which causes most people to struggle for a lifetime.
People don't have to sit around in pain and hopelessness until they die, there is a way out to heal it for good, and people need to hear that.
I personally never found a therapist who would teach me anything, they always said it's too dangerous to heal on my own...so they didn't teach me any real tools besides how to cope, and then I was stuck dependent on them for my healing once per week.
The truth is that it's not dangerous to heal on your own, it's dangerous to NOT heal on your own...to be left to fend for yourself without weapons in the war of your mind.

No explanation as to how she cured it and the word "cure" actually contridicts the video in that she emphasized healing instead. In addition, we now have to chase down the videos regarding "coping and processing" which I assume are the actual ways she healed. Please be careful of trying to bait (traumatized) people into your channel to chase healing. Not cool.

My narcissistic neighbor helped keep me away from her! Now he’s decrepit and living in a nursing home. I was severely codependent as result of my toxic, nuclear family. At the moment, my unresolved trauma from losing my house to rats, then being abused by my strange neighbor and father is diabolical.😂❤🦮🐓🐁🐉🦚🎄🐘🐫
