    I was severely traumatized years ago as a teenage, got diagnosed with cptsd. Spent my whole life fighting cptsd. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly, 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

      I'm so very happy for you, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.

I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them

      Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

    key phrase: "could be". flashbacks and dissociative symptoms are _more_ of a clear sign, but even then dissociation is a natural response we all have and can be triggered by non-traumatic stress or even normal dissociation from boredom/absentmindedness. the only thing i would feel comfortable saying is to get a good therapist (you may have to go through several) and keep an open mind each way. denial can be extremely powerful and is common among trauma survivors (in my experience), AND repressed memories are NOT necessarily the answer. even if you have them, you probably don't need to uncover them in order to heal (doing so is often destabilizing and can lead to a worsening of symptoms even when taking every precaution). this is just my perspective but i hope it might be helpful to someone questioning this.

    I got diagnosed with PTSD from being sexually abused from 12-13 by my first boyfriend, It makes since how I don’t understand my triggers cuz they make no since and also complex trauma is deeper which I found cuz mine was complex trauma cuz it lasted for a long time, which gives it more complexity and more to heal and at least for me at least I found out more about what he did cuz at first I thought it only started when we got into a relationship but nope it happened before that, specifically when I told him that I had a crush on him, that’s when it started, It stoped for a very short period of time at some point cuz I was trying to get him to stop but it didn’t work, I tried something else and that didn’t work either and nobody did anything about it, I kind of get why but the only person I can’t excuse for not saying or doing anything was his mom cuz she told him to stop and she thought he stopped but he never stopped, she never even told any of my parents about it and she didn’t protect me, nobody did, I developed PTSD during my sophomore year of high school but didn’t tell anyone about how what he did effected me until my near end of senior year of high school and turns out it was a lot worse than they originally thought and my last psychiatrist is the one that diagnosed me with PTSD, something I found out in my sophomore psychology class in college is that PTSD is in the DSM 5 but CPTSD was something they considered putting in the DSM 5 but they didn’t think there was enough of a reason to defrestiate between PTSD and CPTSD, which I mean I kind of see their point to some degree since one of the things that can cause PTSD is complex trauma like abuse so I’m guessing that’s why they never put CPTSD in the DSM 5, which explains why I was diagnosed with PTSD because they use the DSM 5 in the USA, and also something else about complex trauma is that flashbacks can be different, such as instead of what’s shown in the movies, It can be emotional flashbacks which is when they’re reliving it through experiencing the emotions they felt at that time cuz their brain things it’s happening right now or is about to happen, they can also relive it through somatic flashbacks which means they’re feeling the physical sensations they had during that time, they can have other types of flashbacks too

    Get Claire weeks book to get over cptsd. Basically she says accept it. Accept you ll be anxious while talking to sb. So what if you get anxious? Just go on with talking and feel the stress. After a while of accepting it goes away. Be patient though anx don t expect it to go aay immediately. That s the best way

      Hey Ali, I totally get it...many healthcare systems are not very good, even the "good ones" fall short in many ways...it's best to be independent of them altogether and utilize them as a supplement to healing and not the main thing...at least in my experience. In regards to the contentI plan on releasing more videos about this, but as of right now this is probably the most in depth video on it on youtube. We do have a book on the best coping skills ( theartoftraumarelief.com/ ), but haven't released a book on processing yet (it's in the pipeline, but probably not for a few years)...and I am actively working on improving our content system as a whole and part of that will be releasing more in depth TH-cam videos like this. If you want our exact system this is what our full recovery and coaching program walks you through. I'd be happy to talk to you more about it, if interested, here's a link to schedule a consultation to see if you'd be a good fit for what we do: overcomingptsd.com/consultation It's a complex and deep process, and the program is where we really break everything down. No pressure either way, this is a paid program, but if you want to move faster and learn all we have to offer this is the best way.

    cPTSD is real. I didn't know the rage I was carrying until I ran into one of my teen year bullies. He was the loudest of the group and relentlessly tormented me. I ended up getting in body building and olympic lifting in my junior year and shunned people out for years. In college, I took up strength training and got into Brazilian jujitsu and then later boxing, Muay Thai, and Escrima. I loved the physical challenges of the sports but realize now I was compensating for having been left physically intimidated and unable at that time to defend myself. Two years after college, I was visiting family and while helping my uncle load a host of gardening items at the Home Depot, I heard a familiar mocking voice. "Ah. You a gardener now?" I turn around and there he was with one of my other former bullies and (presumably) his girlfriend. I cannot describe that sinking feeling I had that was a mix of rage, fear, and shame. Even though I could literally have overhead pressed him and broken his limbs before be knew what hit him, I was frozen in fear and instantly felt like that scrawny little kid bullied by guys two years older than him. But something primal came out of me the instant later and I dropped the rakes in my hands and walked right up to him putting my face into his. "Yeah. I'm a gardener. And I like digging. Want to come and help? I'm sure I can find a hole for you." His face froze in fear and I'm not going to lie: I enjoyed it in his eyes. I told them in a most un-Christian fashion to best move along before I picked back up the rakes and found an alternative use for them that they'd be in the need of a proctologist to remove. It wasn't quite put in those terms though. And they did indeed go about their loser way. It was during that ride back home with my uncle that I spoke of all that happened openly for the first time. He listened, quietly. I felt heard. It was good to be felt heard and not judged. And then after a few seconds, he nodded and said how life deals us trauma and sometimes though it hurts bad it can be a gift of strength but you must harness its darkness and overcome it. He then told me what he went through in Viet Nam. I hadn't any idea of that side of him and felt guilty learning of his trauma and thinking I had it rough. But it was God, faith and love-self-love and love of this wondrous creation and life we have been gifted that made me open my heart back again to humanity. Connecting with nature and others has healed me. You have to go to war with your mind and not let the past rule it. You rule it and only God is your Master. I thank God I didn't commit violence that day and learned too I had self-control and have a protective spirit over others. There are good people in the world and that is easy to forget and so many are hurt in life. And this also applies to my bullies, who I later learned had a very rough abusive upbringing. Not excusing what they did, but it puts things in perspective. Be a force for good-for yourself first and others and in that order. You cannot help others if not well first and doing right by you. You deserve a sense of safety, happiness, and health in body and mind. So put in the work to heal. Find a good hobby and connect with good people and your faith. Life's too short to hate and hold on to pain. And we have enough miserable, angry people running around hurting too many. It starts and ends with us, however undeservedly the pain life might have dealt us.

      That's okay, it's where most people start (not being able to cry), I couldn't get myself to cry even when I wanted to...but being able to access and release your inner emotions is a skill that gets developed overtime. And I did mean it that MOST people when they first start healing have trouble with their emotions, so it's a normal roadblock, AND solvable!

    I think the belief I need to get rid of is, “I’m not allowed to do this. It’s not ok if I do that. Everyone will notice that I’m different from everyone else in this world because I do this, and I don’t accept myself because I do this.” I say this when I do things like cry, have a bad day, touch and explore everything around me, do certain things that truly benifit me and I’m not even hurting anybody when I do them. I’m expressing myself through feelings of joy, silliness, curiosity, and even sadness sometimes. I don’t want anyone to pull me out of my funks anymore. To be truly honest, I try to never ever reach out for help or someone to talk or support me. Except my music therapists, because music therapy really changed me. I also reach out to my mom and a selected few others. But I still even have a hard reaching out for help because I expect to always self cope and never ask for support. I really utilize the tools that my music therapist and talk therapist give me, but the music therapy is REALLY TRULY benefiting me in more ways than one.

      @abbysworld05 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In one of the videos on the channel is the difference from PTSD and CPTSD and says how both can be healed and deserve healing, which at first was a big problem for me cuz I thought I didn’t deserve help until I’m good because I believed that I was evil and bad which i found is pretty common feelings to have when kids are abused, I still see myself like this and I’m definitely making progress, I know my healing will take idk how long but definitely years because I have PTSD from being sexually abused from 12-13 by my first boyfriend, It didn’t start effecting me until my sophomore year of high school and I got diagnosed with PTSD in the near end of my senior year of high school, I’m definitely not happy about CPTSD taking a lot longer to heal cuz that means mine is going to take longer than if it was a one off thing and the realist thing she said in the PTSD vs CPTSD video is that in CPTSD the triggers aren’t as straight forward as PTSD, I went ohhhh so that’s why my triggers make no sense and I’m still confused about my triggers which makes since because complex trauma would come with more triggers than something that happened for a short period of time and people with CPTSD tend to have a harder time remembering their trauma and that they may only remember a little bit of It or certain parts but not everything, so what they remember is typically all over the place

      @OvercomingPTSD Hello, thank you, so I go into associations related to the environment if any, such as physical abuse and help them rewire that association by slowly breaking it. I design according to their personality type and help build rituals and habits that would help them connect with their room. I use a future pace modality, so any artwork, etc, serves as a que to remind them of their new self or life. I also help them declutter completely based on the future paced modality and address hoarding if need be. I also use anchoring through smell.

    do all the techniques u are teaching help cure cptsd ? What about inner child journaling? i dont ven remember my childhood memories much how am i supposed to correlate

      @OvercomingPTSD 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely, most of our clients actually have CPTSD...you don't need to remember memories to heal, the recovery process is a discovery process, meaning that AS you heal you learn and discover SO much about your past...and some of those things can be repressed/hidden memories that have been pushed far away due to the level of emotional charge they have.

      @OvercomingPTSD 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also, side note...not all of our tools "cure" cptsd...some tools are coping tools, which help you get relief/manage the symptoms...which is essential on your journey, but coping tools don't heal the root. An important distinction.

    I cannot love myself easily. My friend looked after me. I was so frightened this morning i cried. Cleared the room as the shoe rack fell and freaked me out. It constantly broke and id panic. Im afraid of wind. Just went for a walk. Had a bad experience. It makes me scared of sudden noises. I have ptsd many years. Dont travel far. I want to not be so scared. I learned not to let people in too much as they overwhelm me. I shut down clubs and that. I am a lone wolf with one trusted friend and that is it.

      It's definitely a process to love yourself, and takes work. I used to be like you, I remember a time when I was driving and piece of paper flew up and hit the windshield, made no noise, but made me jump out of my skin. The first step is always always always learning the coping tools to manage the symptoms, and THEN learning how to process the trauma(s) at the root so that the symptoms don't come up again... Here are some resources to help you do that: 1. Video of one of the foundational coping tools you should have: th-cam.com/video/XJ77xXsQ2J8/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=OvercomingPTSD 2. The fundamentals of Processing Trauma: th-cam.com/video/IJD35MJPYwo/w-d-xo.html 3. You can grab a free copy of our book on the 9 most powerful relief tools for trauma here (just cover a small shipping cost): go.overcomingptsd.com/freebook/ Hope these resources can help you move forward, let me know if there's anything else I can do! What if it’s ptsd about something that’s not real? I’ve been having mini anxiety attacks at night because a very very bad memory of something I saw online retriggered. Horror AU’s are traumatizing in my opinion

      In my personal opinion it doesn't matter what is causing you distress, you're still deserving of healing...if this is impacting your life in a significant way, then it's worth taking time to solve it...again in my opinion.

    Its really good to see how u simplify the healing journey so well. I suffer from cptsd and i got to know about it when i learnt i had anxious attachment, i went through books , videos and did make some changes in my life like journalling and yoga which helped me relax although i was repressing my emotions after a breakup and the negative beliefs weren't changing either. I do use self neutrality when im feeling negative beliefs pop up. Im hoping to work through and i do feel the pain but i also feel like im more alive than stuck in dissociation and shaming myself when i get triggered. Thank you so much.

      That's one of my main goals! The journey is WAY too complex and confusing, and it needs to be simplified down so people can take action on it and actually change. So happy this could help you

    How on earth would you do 10 hours a day without ret traumatizing yourself?

    • @OvercomingPTSD
      @OvercomingPTSD 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When you know the tools you are in control of the process and how much you "expose" yourself to the pain...allowing you to progressively face it in a way that is manageable to you. Overtime you progressively get stronger and are able to handle more and more. It's really all about knowing how to do this that allows you to put in this much time, but to be clear you don't have to put in 10 hour days lol Starting with just 1 hour a day is a FANTASTIC start that will drastically change your life in just a few months.

    Can we find some testimonials that talk about healing C-PTSD? Hearing it from people who got better from childhood trauma is incredibly powerful and helps with coregulation. It would be really great if there were people who could talk about how they overcame their feelings of abandonment and rejection and isolation.

    Do you mean by "releasing emotions" crying? Because I spent 7 days in a row crying for two hours and i feel so refreshed and feel like i am fully recovered.

    • @OvercomingPTSD
      @OvercomingPTSD 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely, crying is one way to release emotions, there are other ways as well...basically it's allowing your body to express itself authentically and not holding it back...so that could be crying, shaking, screaming, etc. It can manifest in different ways. There are also positive and negative ways to do this as well, if you are ruminating on how bad life is and "releasing emotions" that way it will drive the negativity deeper. Whereas if you are releasing with the intent to heal and change the underlying beliefs then it would be positive. It's awesome that you feel like you're fully recovered!
