Great video. Thumbs up from Portugal. I bought mine a month ago, as soon as they started to sell here. First oil change, ill do the same about the sprocket. Hope the update come before that 😅.
I agree that they should have come from the factory with the 15-tooth sprocket. Standard gearing is too short unless you're doing hard enduro, and if you're doing that on the 450MT you're on the wrong bike. I changed mine a few weeks ago and it makes higher speed work much more comfortable and pleasant. The motor has plenty of bottom end so it doesn't suffer in the tighter stuff even with the taller gearing.
Hello, Do you think with 15 tooth sprocket makes the bike perfect? Is 1st and 2nd gears long enough now? and what do you think about cruising speed in highway with 14 and 15 toots sprockets? thanks.
@@OmerAtmca If you plan on using the bike as a daily commuter or spending long periods of time at highway speeds then the 15 tooth is just what the bike needs. If you only have a short ride to the bush and do alot of technical sections with hill climbs and slow twisties then the 14 tooth front sprocket is better suited.
@@OmerAtmca For my typical ride, the higher gearing is close to perfect. I don't do extreme offroading, where the standard gearing may be useful. My usual rides are a mix of commuting (60 kph & 100 kph roads), and gravel roads with some light single track. Awesome, been thinking about one of these and was waiting for some decent reviews. They are now coming through and it is better than expected . Check out MAD’s review that came out yesterday . I see some claim the 450SR is capable of 50 rwhp with mods, be interesting to see if this model will respond the same way.
Hello FRASHD tuning, could you please confirm if the 15-tooth front sprocket (up 1 tooth) is enough, or it's also necessary to make modification in the rear?
Thanks for the video. Today I,ve tested the MT and I agree stock gearing is too sort, have taken note of the 15th sprocket but at least in Spain MT is sold out till late november 🤷♂️. Have you tested top speed with the new 15th?

@@frashd Did you notice a difference? It really seems to be the only major negative most reviewers have with the bike. Twitchy during low speed off-roading.
Hi bro, im picking up my bike tomorrow..as I understood, 15t make bike more pleasant with ride and give slighty more power aye. Please make me correct if i have missed something. Your videos help a lot. Cheers bro.
Mate, can you please explain to me a little bit more in depth why is it better not to run a 15/45 set of sprockets? I understand that gives you a 3:1 ratio, but why would that be undesirable? I ask mainly because that's what I'm running on my Versys x300 😂😂
@Al.j.Vasquez I have been told by other bike techs that went a sprocket set divides into its self the tooth wear is increased. Much like flex plate on a 6 cylinder engine that only really wears in 3 spots. Could be nonsense but I don't believe the 450 needs a rear sprocket change anyway.
Thanks for this. Picked mine up 2 days ago 15 is enough. Wont bother with the 45 rear.
@daveramsay8887 good choice mate.
Thx for the effort of sharing this.
My pleasure!
