Thank you. That was probably the most honest review that I have read. Thank you also for mentioning the gearing… Owner’s pages for the two bikes that I ride are always full of miracle cures, the main one being how changing the front sprocket by one tooth will revolutionise the bike on a fast A road or motorway. As, in my opinion, neither bike was built for that use I presume that they made a big mistake when choosing their new bike and the ‘advice’ they are giving will spoil the performance in the environments where those motorcycles belong, minor roads, hills, gravel tracks and occasionally challenging technical sections as well. I have already noticed that ‘alter the gearing’ has been a hot topic for MT450 owners as well. Good luck with the bike in the future, one of my motorcycles is Chinese, a Voge 300 Rally and it continues to impress me day after day.
Very good report, no hype, just the facts, presented well! Well done, Chris, Flying Brick (we are developing bash plate + pannier rack + crash bars), here, in SA.

Pulled the trigger and order my 450mt. I've been trying so hard not to jump to ADVs yet since I recently purchased a supersports bike but I ended up not using that one much often. I hope my purchase of the 450mt would bring me to a lot of Adventures like you did.
I have a Panigale V2 and I’m considering the 450MT as a daily bike and to initiate in the off road world. How’s your experience? Would you recommend it?
@ I've got the zx6r, the difference is night and day between my 2 bikes. I really enjoyed the 450mt due to its torque, manueverability and weight. although seat height wise the 450mt just felt a bit taller than my zx6r. So if you're planning to use it for daily I'd say no since I still use my vespa sprint for my daily due to it's fuel efficiency. But for initiating your journey to the offroad world I'd be half hearted about it, If you want to go hard core like going to the mountains and stuff might as well get an enduro bike but if you like going to light trails and long travel then go for the 450mt. Maintenance wise the 450mt is relatively cheap to maintain compare to my zx6r and i'm pretty sure it would'nt cost that much compared to a ducati. Fuel efficiency I'm getting around 22-25kmp/L with the 450mt I guess it's a bit too much for a 450 but I've been riding it like an asshole everytime I use it. Overall the 450mt would be a great all arounder bike it would just really depend on your riding style.
Best review of the CF Moto 450MT so far - outstanding, balanced and based on a real world major adventure trip experience. No arguments, this bike is taking the world by storm literally and in every sense.
Watching from the USA. Great video. Informative, concise, and no BS. Your methodology for constructing/ organizing your video content is enjoyable for the viewer. I know you said that this will likely be your last video on this machine; however, it would be interesting to see one that highlights a more dirt oriented/ enduro style (possibly some single track) riding. What I am especially curious about is the 'higher' fender performance and higher fender installation. It would be interesting to see a portion of the video where you (Luke) install the higher fender kit/ package. This way viewers could see what was involved and if it is something they may tackle on their own. Thank you for posting this video. I just subscribed and look forward to future content.

After a 27K trip from UK to Nigeria ending this March, I bought the KTM 790 Adventure knowing it was built by CF Moto. The rims were cheese on the 1190R (106,000 km) and plastic bags were used to seal the rims after two spanner workshops beat the rims back into shape. I learnt that the bike I took was too big but was carrying 45kg of spares fuel and water as well as camping gear and clothing. My 690R proved too uncomfortable on long trips but perfect on technical trails. The CF Moto 450 might have been the perfect bike on my last trip.Great video, covered most of what serious adventurers want to know.
Hi Luke! thank you so much for the review. Most significat for me was fake weight on data . Great information that early adopters of the 450 Ibex appreciate. Kudos to CF Moto for doing their best to provide us with the lightweight off road oriented ADV bike with enough power to comfortably cruise on the highway. Great video! Would love to give this bike a try one day
A really professional and thoughtful review, thankfully devoid of hyperbole and exaggeration, unlike many TH-cam motorbike reviewers.
One of the best channels..keep it up
Perfect video for me as I have a stock 450 and just deciding what accessories I need before first TET trip. Looks like I don't need to spend much!
Subbed.
Realy REALY good video. Sober, no pretention and full of adequate information! Many thanks!
Congrats for the video! Definitely the most informative video for the great cf moto 450 mt! Subscribed!!!
I was obsessed with this bike for some weeks and this is the best video I've seen about it. I even went to dealership but the guy selling want happy when I called it the tenere of the poor.
I am looking at buying the cfmoto 450 instead of the tenere as my first. the 6000$ price difference is what's made my mind.
Great review of you trip and of the bike the same time. Good job
Amazing video. A few minutes into the vid, I was already drawn into the narration, slow-mo scenes and wonderful sceneries. Of course, and the important reviews of the bike. Yes please, you need to do travel vids. I had already sub! 🤣
The most anticipated video from motorcyclists, thank you buddy, much appreciated 👍
Excellent review mate what we want to see more off. Well done.
That's a nice and detailed video man. Very good luck to you.
Waiting for your videos on Himmi 450.
Love from India ❤
Intresting review, i'm deciding between this and the ktm 390 adv, pending more on the ktm because it's way lighter and powerfull, since it's my first dual bike it will be probably easier to learn how to ride in offroad.
Excelente Sr Luke! Gran prueba técnica y exigencia a este modelo que a todos nos ha llamado poderosamente la atención desde su estreno. Saludos desde Colombia!
Very very informative 😊 I was thinking of buying 800 MT . THANK YOU 🙏
great video this is what we need to make informed decisions on manufactures like cfmoto and voge
Great video. Very informative and will give many people peace of mind regarding purchasing this bike.
I love your succinct and articulate style of presentation - as well as the professionalism of your insights.
