To be honest, I like the design of the fries. I think it's like the fries becoming real through the app. Like, through the McDonald's app we make your dream a reality. Is it overdramatic for an ad, yeah, but I've seen more overdramatic.

13:40 I thought it was stupid at first but they might just be using wheelchair icon for disabled in general, like it's made to help people with mobility issues that can still walk on stairs but might need some extra anti slip and hand railings. This might just be one of those cases that helps point out that using a wheelchair as a blanket symbol for disabled might not be a good idea
this is correct... wherlchair is an easy symbol to recognise as disabled but it covers a wide variety of disabilities and 99% of which are not in wheelchairs but no one ever thought to change it
It’s definitely that, it’s definitely becoming more an issue. I’m autistic and qualify for a disabled parking pass, it has a wheelchair on it and entitles me to parking spaces which also have wheelchairs on, but I’m not in a wheelchair and I worry that if I ever use it they’ll think I’m just faking it or using it wrong.
Yeah... I've been in enough public bathrooms to realize that the word disabled usually doesn't mean pure wheelchair.

About the map one, a red star is one of the coolest because it had burned most of its fuel, a blue star is the hottest because it is a newer star and has more fuel to burn, the whole: "red us hot, blue is cold thing" is the exact opposite of what nature says
It doesn't really pertain to the heat maps people use, especially considering there is no such thing as a green star. Usually it's blue to red on the maps for the sake of the people reading. The actual crappy design was that the deepest shade of blue said "no temperature rise" but the next deepest shade of blue said "over 5°C rise"
@@javierlatorre480 yeah, I forgot to say that the last one made no sense, and yeah, there is no green star, but there is a blue star, yellow star, red star, white dwarf and brown dwarf star
That is on galactic scale though and the reasons we use the colors we do is because heated, especially metal goes redish before heated to a glowing point, where cooler things tend to pale. Frost associated with blue/white.

Okay the temperature rise one is actually not that inaccurate (apart from the "none" one). Not that it isn't unnecessarily confusing but when light comes from a heat source the higher temperatures let's out light closer to the blue color and colder objects emits a more red light. Best example is a flame where the red flame is colder than the blue flame.

@@echo_soldier I know, that's why I added that it was "unnecessarily confusing". My chemistry teacher once told me a story about physicists at the Niels Bohr institut in Denmark. They were switching around the red and blue markings on the water faucets even in the labs witch created a lot of problems especially is you come in contact with dangerous chemicals and need to keep poor cold water on it immediately. The chemical burn can cause you to not feel the burn from the hot water and you end up getting another problem while trying to fix the first one. Great example of people with a high IQ but terrible practical skills.

A lot of elevators that I've seen have a mark such as a star next to the 1st floor button, possibly as a reminder that that's where the entrance and/or exit is.

Even though the symbol literally depicts a wheelchair, it is the symbol for accessibility in general. There are lots of disabilities (including mine) for which someone can benefit from a dedicated lane of the stairs.
I actually asked the mods to add this kind of thing to the list of "not crappy design" after seeing this particular post.
Using the symbol of a wheelchair still makes it crappy design.
