4:20 Since I work at a printing company, I stopped caring for such things a long time ago, otherwise I'd have just gone insane. Customer wants it that way, and they pay for it. The only thing I do with especially bad designs is show 'em to my colleagues so we can make fun of it :-)

This is why I laugh when people tease me for being 5' 6". I was also fortunate to be born with long arms. No ducking, and I can still reach the top shelf. I got the best of both worlds.

Since I'm Filipino, I might explain why they used spoon and fork to replace the "X". First, we rarely or never use chopsticks at all but we know them. Second, putting a spoon and fork in a logo or signage on a restaurant is a marketing strat here. Lastly, you can't use chopsticks on most Filipino foods.
Actually, copper has some antibacterial effects...
Still doesn't help against viruses, but a copper mesh inlay for masks wouldn't be a bad idea against bacterial illnesses spread via breath.

At a certain temperature copper and silver are really good at disinfecting. Idk if it could work is masks but it's an idea
I'd like you to know that I do have a copper mask myself, not sure how good it is or if it actually helps, but they're relatively comfy to wear so I'm okay with them

I agree. I've been to that store and I was very curious on their decision to space those words out so much. Maybe I'll try to convince them to rename their store!

7:33 regarding the "why are you advertising a car at a bus station?": some people might use public transport to go to work or whatever because it's easier for them than finding parking space, or because they care about the environment to an extend, or maybe it's cheaper for them or whatever the case, but use a car in their free time. I think the Pathfinder is also an offroad car? At least that's what they advertise it as, as seen here in the video. So it's a car for fun times in the wilderness, and people who happen to use the bus might be interested in that too because they like to go camping and stuff.
Plus depending on where this bus station is, car drivers can see the advertisement too.
So it's not stupid to use the space to advertise a car, it's just very crappy to do it in a way that inconveniences people a lot.
I think lexi is talking from a business perspective, advertising something on a bus would be basically telling others to not use the bus and try to get a car, thats just a basic way of saying it.

As a visually impaired person who uses the the bus, hiding the bus schedule under a car advertisement is particularly aggravating. I know cars are available, I just can't see well enough to drive one!

I think the design matters sign is great. It shows exactly why design matters, giving an example to support the message all in one.
If it’s intentional crappy design or not, I’m not sure. But if they actually know design, it’s definitely on purpose.
