But at least he does say that Homecoming movie was good unlike Alex, which straight up nitpicking on both MCU Spider-Man movies. Still he does stated that he's a Sam Raimi's ass kisser which is understandable to say the least
One thing I genually missed thoughout the remaining MCU Spider-Man movies was Karen. I liked the conversations she and Peter had. Karen was the best ai.
No, I get what you mean. Kinda like a companion. And it would excuse Peter monologuing. More missed opportunity. I get being averse to all the iron man tech, and yea. It's trash lol But the Karen part was good

As a movie, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is worse. Terrible pacing, script, villains, plot lines, Twists, reveals, etc. It was a studio Frankenstein that was the king of terrible comic book movies till Justice League 2017 came out. However, the one thing that TASM2 DOES do right is everything Spider-Man as the effects are still mind blowing, the suit is still the best live action suit to this day, Andrew is phenomenal in the role, the action is incredible and it does do a great job being a Spider-Man story aside from the glaring issues. Far From Home is a better put together movie, but a TERRIBLE Spider-Man story. It's normal for Peter to be selfish as he usually is in the comics, but he's going through THE EXACT SAME STORY HE WENT THROUGH IN HOMECOMING. Not to mention he just randomly got feelings for MJ without anything to establish that and then there's the absolute waste of Jake as Mysterio. I love the illusion scene and I love Jake in the role, but he's an Iron Man villain...again. Sorry for the tangent, but I still have my issues with this movie because it still frustrates me to this day.
For me, tasm2 had better action, better romance, and better music. Yes the writing was bad with a lot of stuff, but id say how they wrote Peter and Gwens situation was perfect, and everything with electro before he gets captured is perfect. FFH, i feel like i could have written in an hour. I'd take a bad movie with great bits over a mid movie any day.
I see no objections here. Worse movie BUT it does have a better Spider-Man like story for... well Spider-Man. I can see both sides to it but I think what you said here is valid. I still just enjoy Far from Home more I am biased for the Mysterio scenes I will fully admit to that but TASM 2 did have a better thing going for its story. Just a shame... it wasn't written well
TASM 2 at least has something interesting between Gwen and Peter. FFH has nothing that works on a writing level… Far From Homes plot has massive issues and barely functions with good cause and effect, there’s not a single well written character in the movie, Peter’s character is destroyed, and Mysterio doesn’t work as a villain at all. And Peter Parker is not selfish, Peter Parker being Spider-Man is proof in itself HE’S NOT SELFISH. And Peter would never let the world just die while he sits by and does nothing…
The one thing in this movie I always questioned was why didnt Edith ever tell Peter who Mysterio was when he wanted to transfer her over to him? Orrrr how when Peter took the glasses back he didnt need to be granted permission for that... huh.
@@C0LIN.I mean considering Tony Stark was willing to invite a bunch of terrorists to his house and not really bother to properly prepare for an attack in Iron Man 3 (unless I am remembering things wrong in which case do correct me), putting some random former employee on a list who just had some tech fail does not sound like something he would care to do.
@@nikeiyomiuri2728 yeah but spidermans lenses are way larger and more recognisable from a distance, so the fact that spiderman is in europe at the same time as peter parker is still out
You are speaking my mind dude. The way they aboslutely threw away all the development they had going for this version of Spider-Man for a poorly written villain where the stakes don't feel high because their not high to Peter Parker/Spider-Man. The deleted scene of him fighting a bunch of goons and messing with them the whole time was perfect and they TOOK IT OUT OF THE MOVIE!
About your point about SHIELD not sending an agent to meet Peter, you have to remember that since Captain America Winter Soldier, SHIELD basically bit the dust after being infiltrated by HYDRA
S.H.I.E.L.D. was rebuilt under Phil Coulson in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and made Peter's Night-Monkey suit in this movie. His nitpick about S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't matter anyway because Nick Fury hasn't been a part of S.H.I.E.L.D. since 2014. He formed a separate crew after the events of Winter Soldier.
I can see a few points you make, but ultimately these are mostly minor nitpicks. While I understand that Peter's tendency to help people and do good often comes first before his own life, I think it's well within reason given the circumstances of what he had just been through with fighting off an invasion and losing to getting killed and brought back 5 years later only to continue the fight and save the whole damn ass world. I think It's perfectly acceptable for Peter to want a few days for himself especially when promised a relaxing vacation. He isn't quitting the superhero life. He just wants to enjoy his vacation. And yes, a lot of Talos/Fury's involvement was unnecessary and downright stupid. That doesn't change the fact that Mysterio was done really well. And Peter's arc of stepping out from Tony's Shadow as his own hero was also well done. Sometimes superhero stories can be stupid and that's alright so long as the characters are treated well. I mean, Deadpool & Wolverine has pretty much been torn apart in the story department but people still loved it cause it cared about it's characters. I don't understand why people are so hard on Tom Holland's Spider-Man. It's one of my favorite incarnations of the character.
Homecoming and Far From Home worked because they did Vulture and Mysterio who weren’t villians in a Spider-Man movie yet. The third film should have been about Kraven the Hunter hired to taken down Spider-Man for being a fugitive, and loosely adapts Kraven’s Last Hunt. No Way Home would be nothing without Willem Dafoe returning as Sam Raimi’s Green Goblin.
@@petermj1098 Not true. The anchor of No Way Home are the Spidermen. Willem is great as the main antagonist but not the only reason the film worked. It worked because it cared about the other Spidermen and used them to grow Tom's Spider-Man
@@Lockn3s5 Ok it is cause Tobey and Andrew are in the film as well. The problem is that it misses the point of Uncle Ben’s death. Peter became Spider-Man because he was irresponsible with his power which indirectly caused Uncle Ben to be killed by a criminal. Aunt May’s death doesn’t work because Peter was trying to be responsible with his power. It would have better writing if Peter decides leave the villians to die but Green Goblin breaks the criminals out and he kills May because Peter decided to leave them to die.
@@petermj1098 No, because from the beginning of Tom's Spider-Man everything about him was informed by Uncle Ben's death. They just chose not to show that story again for the third time rather writing Peter in a way where you can feel Ben's influence over his ideals. He already learned the lesson with Ben's death. Aunt May's death was just to reinforce it and give the iconic phrase. And it does actually work because her death is what causes him to break and want to kill Goblin, while the other Spidermen helped to temper his anger and help Norman instead. It was a smart way to reinforce the lesson by taking another loved one away from Peter. It's clear by the end of the film that Peter would go onto to become his idealized version of the character that most fans are familiar with.
@@Lockn3s5Spider-Man is supposed to have unbreakable willpower, it doesn't matter that he got dusted, he carried the exact thing that dusted him in Endgame
To me it’s like this. You all have to remember this is a Peter who not only got dusted for 5 years but who comes back and has to fight this big ass battle and then sees his “mentor” dies. This movie is the representation of a Peter Parker who doesn’t want to be Spider-Man at this moment. A Peter who wants to be Peter. But can’t because he has a “responsibility” If you watch this Trilogy with this understanding of: Homecoming being: A Peter Parker who just wants to Spider-Man because he wants to show the world what he can do. Far From Home: A Peter Parker who wants a break from being Spider-Man and those responsibilities because of what happened above but can’t because of what he can do. No Way Home: The consequences of being Peter Parker and Spider-Man
@theriq7625 Collin & SK already addressed this and they shouldn't have needed to because you would see that Peter was literally losing his powers if you paid attention.
I think it’d be better if it was made clear that Mysterio was lying about his connection to Stark. Either he was trying to weaponize the hologram tech, or he was never even a stark employee and worked in the movie industry instead. I actually recommend watching Full Fat Videos Mysterio vid that talks about how Jake Gyllenhal was the perfect person to play Mysterio and how similar the character was to several of Gyllenhal’s previous roles are.
I think what could have worked better would be if Quintin was an admirer of Tony and he was in the audience of the hologram demo in civil war and seeing that Tony named this potentially revolutionary tech BARF and went on to do nothing with it absolutely disgusted him and he was also baffled by the fact no one else seemed to call out Tony for this so he becomes Mysterio so he can use the technology to become a more successfully hero than Tony ever was. That would fix the issue with Tony's character that the movie causes and doesn't even change Mysterio's character too much.
Let’s talk about why the Far From Home Suit & the Black & Gold Suit from No Way Home are just blatant recolors of the Civil War Suit. Like seriously, they’re just recolors. Heck, the Far From Home Suit’s just the Homecoming suit, but replaced the blue with black.
There are differences between ffh and civil war suit. They aren't re colors. And nwh Peter got paint on the suit so he turned it inside out. It's not a recolor it's literally the same suit
@@theriq7625 well they can be necessary to survive like in infinity war or he can be forced to change the reason for the black and gold suit is that it's the far-from-home suit inside out because someone threw slime at him the only time he changes outside of that is as a evolution of his character
@@theriq7625other then the black suit, the Rami trilogy at least kept it consistent by having the same suit throughout the trilogy. The MCU Spider-Man movies constantly make recolors of the same Spider-Man suit, and when there’s evidence that the costume designers could’ve made some creative suits like a Superior Spider-Man suit, or a Iron Spider suit, they chose not to.
@@nikeiyomiuri2728 there's a difference between liking a movie and saying a movie is good, i like Pacific Rim and godzilla, does it mean they're good, no.
Let's be honest, as years pass the most memorable moment people will remember from this movie will be the final scene with J.K Simmons back as JJ and the identity reveal. The rest of the movie is pretty forgettable and poorly executed except for the Mysterio hallucinations.
A lot of issues you raised about FFH aren't just issues with the movie itself but also with the mcu continuity as a whole. Whoevers in charge (if anyone is in charge) of storyboarding the mcu should have laid down character, and continuity beats that need to be followed. If this was done, about 70% of this movie would have been better and made a lot more sense.
@dupersuper6516 In a film universe as big as the MCU, continuity is extremely important. It's not a fucking competition between which is more important. They both are. You also completely missed the point that I was talking about.
Hard disagree. Look this movie isn’t a 10 out of 10 masterpiece, Peter is not characterized very good and feels like iron man jr, the humor is pretty weak, mysterio isn’t a great villain but I still consider this a fun watch. The action is excellent, the acting is good, it’s just a fun watch throughout and besides tasm 2 exists and spider man 3 exists, no matter how fun those movies are to watch, they are objectively worse with bad pacing, too many side plots and a creative mess. Far from home has a consistent plot and it is a fun watch.
@@C0LIN. It literally does. There isn’t a 100 side plots going on at the same time in this film, the main focus is still on Peter’s character and mysterio, in spider man 3 and tasm 2, I have no idea what the main focus was, that’s how many plots there was in those movies.
@@BigJim_II It’s objectively not. Look I enjoy spider man 3, it’s a really really fun watch but if you look at the movie objectively, it’s not a good movie at all and it’s objectively worse.
@@DallasReimerThe plot is consistent to an extent, but the writing and the execution of it is incredibly bad. There's alot of character assassination and other factors but I do agree the action and acting was really good.
Already off to a bad start. S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't involved with the movie at all other than making the Night-Monkey suit. It's Nick Fury's personal crew that he established sometime after Winter Soldier and after he made Phil Coulson director of S.H.I.E.L.D. in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. And if bring up the helicarrier in Age of Ultron to try to debunk this, Nick Fury asked Phil Coulson to send a helicarrier to Sokovia to fight the Ultron sentries.
Ngl a lot of these points are just nitpicks. You don’t rlly point out how the actual plot is inconsistent. A lot of your points were good, but mostly nitpicks. also mysterio is prolly the best villain that Tom holland has. Like who wants to see the avengers in a solo SPIDERMAN movie?
shoot people love civil war and that was basically an avengers movie lol. I see what you're saying, although these aren't the most nitpicky compared to actual haters of these movies.
@@jeffholy872 they are nitpicks one of the points in this video is why doesn’t sheild have tinted windows. Like tinted windows aren’t illegal. Sheild doesn’t have time to be gettin pulled over by the cops while driving. civil war is not a solo cap movie. This movie is overhated imo, it’s better than both tasm movies.
Facts like in almost every solo mcu movie the avengers are never involved like in ironman 3 non of the avengers helped tony to stop the mandarin, the avenger didn't help cap in winter soldier, the avengers didn't help natasha in the black widow movie like the avengers and shield not appearing in solo movies is a literal meme by now so i literally don't see his argument
So by ur logic: - Ppl being out of character or character assassinated - Things that break cause and effect and massively would affect the plot - And a villain that doesn’t work at all Are nitpicks… If u watched this video and think “most of these are nitpicks” u have really low standards, which is fine. My biggest complaint is that they didn’t show how Peter Parker would deal with the whole world knowing who he is. I think the whole Multiverse stuff in No Way Home stuff was a big cop out. It would’ve been interesting to see and maybe the Kingpin could be the main villain. And of course Jameson hires the Scorpion to fight Peter. No Dr. Strange or the other 2 Spidermen. Just the MCU Peter trying to deal with the madness alone.
NO what they should have done is stayed faithful to homecoming's post credit scene and MADE SCORPION THE VILLIAN. have jameson HIRE scorpion to bring in peter to the authorities but in a twisted way scorpion becomes a huge threat and spider-man has to take him down, proving to the public he is a good guy and matt murdock would help clear his name in a court of law etc
@@HirstMovies Oh I almost forgot about that! Yeah, hire scorpion. I would say even throw in Kingpin. I can see him getting involved in this. I’ll add this to my comment. Thanks!
@@HirstMovies Exactly! thats why I mentioned Kingpin. But at the same time, I kind of wanted Peter to handle this on his own because it feels like he leans on other heroes too much in these movies. That’s why I love Insomniac Spiderman so much because it shows that Peter can handle so much on his own but the stories show that at some point he has to accept the fact that he does need help. You can tell that he’s exhausted in the games. He can’t be paranoid about losing teammates all the time. It’s kind of like Mr. incredible with “I work alone” but minus the rude attitude he had in the 50s intro to the movie.
Here's something else: we saw in an earlier scene that EDITH can instantly scan and identify anyone and everyone in a nearby radius, yet when Peter is wearing them in the bar, it doesn't do this with "Quentin Beck" (hinted to not be his real name) or any of the other patrons.
Far From Home from a critical point is just lackluster. It works, but it just has a lot of errors. But both TASM2 and Spider-Man 3 are genuinely, actively bad with flaws. Plus, you’ve gotta admit, Far From Home is one of the most fun and entertaining Marvel movies ever made

I get not liking the movie, but I hate these types of videos. You can do this to any movie and call it the worst of all time. Just going bit by bit and nitpicking and the worst kind of film criticism
I personally think this isn't the worst movie. Because at the very least most people don't like it. No Way Home is the WORST Spider-Man movie in this trilogy because there are more people who liked it and paid money to see it. And No Way Home is the 2nd movie in the MCU to gain so much Money because of the Endgame affect. I think Deadpool 3 was the 3rd one that banked on the Endgame affect. Any MCU movie that is banking on the Endgame affect is very bad and can never be good movies
TAS 1 and 2 are good movies in my opinion but when they first came out everyone hated it because they were too blinded with rose tinted glasses and saw it as a betrayal of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man
@motmot_is_watching which is crazy because those same people were spouting bullshit about how comic accurate Tobeys Spider-Man was to boost their argument when it's just blatantly false. So far, even though Tom is the most recent Spider-Man, Andrew was the most comic accurate portrayal of the Spider-Man character. TASM dualogy has their issues, but they're not as bad as most people make them out to be.
While I do like the movie and would put it at an A tier, you did a good job pointing out a lot of the issues in FFH. I think you went too far at points like complaining about why a Shield car didn't have tinted windows, even though they never did in their past appearances like Winter Soldier. I also think some of your points miss the context of Infinity War and Endgame. Peter and Shield are different in this movie compared to say Homecoming because of the big cosmic events of those movies. You basically hear it all over the place like Fury (who was Talos) in the first scene where he meets Peter that the world has changed, and now they are playing catch up. That explains certain issues like Beck. Even if Tony warned Shield about Beck with the chaos of the world now, it makes sense that he slipped through the cracks. Nick Fury and Shield have more important things to worry about than someone random with illusion tech 8 or so years ago at least immediately.
I think it’s because FFH is consistently mid. In my opinion the first half of NWH is a snooze fest and really isn’t that interesting, but the second half is great. It only really gets good around the part where Peter goes to catch electro for me
It’s a shame, really. Like a lot of people, I liked the movie at first but it was one of those movies that degrade greatly in quality the moment you think about its narrative for more than a minute.
The biggest flaw is that it just doesn't build upon the story or development before this movie. This can be proven with one realization. Did you know that you could skip Homecoming without feeling like you were missing something? You can straight up skip one of his movies and have a seamless watching experience without even noticing you skipped one. Homecoming had no consequences that effected the rest of his story. The only thing you might miss in the future is if they bring the vulture back. That's it. I'm not kidding. Far from Home just rebooted the original movie's conflict and switched it up. Honestly, it just might be a better rewatch experience to skip Homecoming just to not experience that contrasting switch up of his character. Even though Homecoming is better, the overall experience might be less jarring at least.
I find it interesting that more people are starting to become more critical of this movie now when it was widely praised back when it came out. And because of the toxic fandom Spider-Man has, anyone who said Far From Home was bad or mediocre were flamed on the internet. I never liked this movie and always thought Homecoming had overall better writing than this clusterfuck of a movie. Peter never really changed as a character in this movie so he remained the same young and dumb teenager that he had always been since Civil War. We had to wait until the end of No Way Home for him to truly become the Spider-Man we always wanted him to be.
Me personally i liked this movie actually even showed it to my brother his jaw was opened when he saw the plot twist of mysterio being the villan coz we both never read the comics and it was actually really nice
As promised I let Colin cook before coming to my own judgment and I have to say… he made some pretty fair points that are legit criticisms for this movie, though I still would call TASM2 worse than this, maybe even TASM1. Had to repost this comment because I grew tired of some troll who kept naming calling me for holding a general standard that’s somehow now controversial, not to mention didn’t even try to justify his stance or counter a thing said.
Colin: Wayched movie end understood the ideas the film was trying to protray Also Colin: Peter giving the glasses to Beck doesn't make sense. Am I high on crack? You miss all the conversations between them, the scenes of Fury talking down to Peter and the very obvious points given as to his feelings on the matter? So you didn't actually pay attention, got it

Colin, if Peter snaps back at Flash he just fucking kills him. I don't mind that peter doesn't do anything back because I think this version of Flash Thompson is a joke and a non threat as a bully figure- why even bother saying anything back to his punk ass, he ain't gonna do shit. I remember in the first movie when flash points back at him and says "YOU'RE DEAD!" -nothing happens-
@@C0LIN. I think the thing that makes it iffy to me as to whether or not he really has to is whether or not everyone else likes Flash. If everyone likes and cheers on his bullshit, then sure, make a statement. However from what I recall of this film and the others in the MCU(been awhile, so a little fuzzy), everyone sort of knows Flash is an attention seeking asshat. So in my mind it turns into “why even give him the attention? Nobody else cares, why should I give him the attention he wants?”(if I was in Peter’s shoes). I could be wrong, but from what I recall that’s how it is. He’s not a physical threat or bully to Peter like in other versions, he’s just a rich pathetic dweeb, so to me it comes off as “why try to prove something when he’s already too pathetic to be proven against?”. I dunno, just my thought process anyhow
"if Peter snaps back at Flash he just fucking kills him" Why are you assuming that extreme physical force is the only option Peter has to stand up for himself? 💀 Are you forgetting that Spider-Man literally always holds back his strength against his opponents? Let alone a normal fucking dude while Peter is in a civilian state.
@@inferno3054 You're taking what I'm saying too literally. I'm just conveying how much of a non threat and non bully this version of Flash is. More accurate portrayals of Flash have him do more than jist say bullshit to him. Peter is more often than not pretty much assaulted by Flash. But I digress, I wasn't being literal when I said he'd kill Flash, I meant verbally speaking Flash Thompson in the MCU isn't a realistic threat that I think Tom's Peter really has to worry about.
I think it’s a fun Spider-Man movie and has SOME good things in it. Mysterio is pretty good, the final battle is great, I do like the internal conflict with Peter wanting to be Spider-Man, but also wanting a break because of all the trauma (I think it’s done better in Spider-Man 2) Despite that overall FFH is just not great. Sadly that can be said for almost all of the MCU Spider-Man films (except Homecoming I actually love that movie). I hope the next MCU Spider-Man trilogy is done well im tired of the Tom Holland slander
@tomassmith1519 that doesn't make sense, because if he doesn't know responsibility why is he even Spider-Man? What is his motive to make the sacrifices and put himself in danger everyday if not for his responsibility? When I say the MCU destroyed everything about Spider-Man, I mean it

I dont know why you harp on Peter's identity while he's in another country pretending to be a different superhero. "Oh shit the night monkey's a random white kid." I get it with his classmates, but the guy speaking english in a dive bar in Prague isnt that big a deal
13:22 I can understand why you would think Peter would check if it was Mysterio. But I disagree with the point because he thought Fury and Shield took him down. And that he is naive to mind games like this. If it was someone like Joel Miller or Batman I could see them asking to see if it was the real Nick Fury. Not Peter Parker tho, especially when his mind was warped in some crazy event so you’d think with it all being over and being back to normal it would be all finished with.
Wait... why was Edith left to Peter? Wasn't he dead for 5 years? And it wasn't like Tony had time to decide this in the time between the blip being undone and dying almost right after. ???
Something that kinda bugs me too is the fact that Edith doesn’t have a record of events or anything like that. Or record of all the people who has control and when they did. I feel like that could’ve helped peter out in the long run
Tom Holland’s trilogy being better than most of the rest of the MCU doesn’t make it not the worst 3 Spider Man movies to date. They’re still far worse than shit.
I still Enjoyed the Hell outta this Movie, Sure they had to figure out Beck’s origin by Retconning the past with MYSTERIO being apart of Tony’s life, but other than that…I think they did a Great Job with Beck’s character, even I was questioning if he truly was Evil or not lol, plus I love the Chemistry between ZENDAYA and Tom in this one!! (It’s no wonder they fell for each other IRL 😂) anyway, I’m gonna stand by my Opinion, and I’ll respect yours. I Enjoy your Content 😊
TASM2 is an awful movie but even i would say its 1% BETTER than far from home. simply because peter in that film ACTS and FEELS more like spider-man. in ffh peter neglecting responsibility.
Remember when Peter jumps on that spaceship that starts ascending into space and Tony has to tell Peter he won't be able to to breathe, cause...Peter is apparently a FREAKING IDIOT that doesnt understand how space works. The movies keep telling us that Peter is smart but i have yet to see him prove this. If anything, he comes off as an airhead
Are we ignoring the fact that Peter was caught in multiple explosions, got hit by sonic booms, and was on fire for several seconds and yet he’s only limping a bit? I get he has super powers but Spider-Man’s powers are more based around agility than durability. Also he pointed out how there were multiple features on the drones such as the invisibility and lasers that could’ve ended Peter.
Lmao that’s how I know you’re the type of person who won’t ever change their opinion (even if it’s wrong or so painfully outnumbered) will just stick to it and act like their opinion are the majority of the entire world or something💀
About the part where Peter should have asked Happy to call the Iron-Spider suit, I feel like that would have been kind of dumb too on his part. For starters Peter was using a random Netherlands citizens phone, so if he asked it could have risked his identity to the civilian. On top of that Peter didn’t even really know if Happy was Happy, so if Peter had asked and it ended up being Mysterio in disguise, now not only would Mysterio try and finish Peter off but he’ll also have access to the iron spider if Peter disclosed the suits location. He should have absolutely made the suit in the jet tho but oh well.
Maybe it's just me, but all of these complaints just feel incredibly nitpicky... Like, FFH is by no stretch a great fiilm, but it's not *that* bad either. Better than the Amazing movies IMO, definitely at least TASM2

This was a Okay spiderman movie.. but it never felt like a "Spider-Man movie" if you get what I mean. It was cool but the spiderman esque of it was meh.. people just so happened to flip flop on tasm 1&2 in these comments but those movies is probably the most Spider-Man shit you can ever get other than nwh or Sam raimi. I agree with these takes. This movie will always be in my bottom 3 list of SM movies along with Homecoming and TASM2. Which is my least probably TASM2 but Far From Home is close
So is the deadpool and Wolverine trilogy more consistent the home trilogy? Genuinely curious at this point I'm more indifferent to spiderman as a character but I am curious if wolverine and deadpool have more consistent films then the home trilogy?
@C0LIN. Interesting that's the first time I heard that take. The general consensus I've seen is the deadpool movies and deadpool as a character is a love it or hate thing especially if you don't vibe with deadpool humor. I've seen that the home trilogy is generally liked more then the deadpool films with most thinking the difference in quality between deadpool and home trilogy being a decent gap. In my circles I've seen people rate the deadpool movies around a 5 or 6 where as mcu spiderman is ranked a 7 or 8 with far from home being ranked a 5 or 4. I don't necessarily agree with thoses people but I find it interesting if nothing eles. My stance is as one of the few people indifferent to spiderman and like Wolverine and Deadpool as characters more I had a better experience with the Wolverine,Logan, deadpool 1 all the way to 3 then I ever did with the home trilogy personally.
Is it me or spider-man lost his identity once and overall persona when the suit was more fascinating than the main guy , that was the thing that made spider-man great in my opinion , the fact that he had all these abilities within himself and the suit was just a cover costume. idk i may be wrong .
that one episode of invincibe where omni man and his wife are on vacation and a dragon is attacking in the background made me think of this movie. omni man was portrayed as the bad guy for focusing on his vacation more than the threat. so peter was on some omni man level of "not my problem" vibe. one thing i dislike about tom hollands spiderman is he never truly seems that heroic and his web swinging is always mediocre . and it seems like protecting his identity is an afterthought. he also cares more about looking cool than saving people

Yeah what you said are similar problems I have with FFH and also why I prefer Tasm 2 so much more.
Yeah, i agree.
FFH has nothing that works on a writing level…
Far From Homes plot has massive issues and barely functions with good cause and effect, there’s not a single well written character in the movie, Peter’s character is destroyed, and Mysterio doesn’t work as a villain at all.
Orrrr how when Peter took the glasses back he didnt need to be granted permission for that... huh.
He never asked Edith who mysterio was also Peter just gave mysterio control of Edith I’m pretty sure he didn’t take away his own control of it

Literally couldn’t agree more I said this for years and it just sucks bc they wasted one of my fav Spider-Man top tier villains ever mysterio 🤦🏾♂️
But can’t because he has a “responsibility”
If you watch this Trilogy with this
understanding of:
Homecoming being: A Peter Parker who just wants to Spider-Man because he wants to show the world what he can do.
Far From Home: A Peter Parker who wants a break from being Spider-Man and those responsibilities because of what happened above but can’t because of what he can do.
No Way Home: The consequences of being Peter Parker and Spider-Man
Hmmmmm that’s interesting theory
Peter Parker is supposed to have unbreakable willpower
@ He can eventually get to that point. We all forget that this Peter Parker is a teenager and we see him each year as such
@MajinUltraEgo spider man 2 Peter throws away his spider suit but eventually comes back as spider man
@theriq7625 Collin & SK already addressed this and they shouldn't have needed to because you would see that Peter was literally losing his powers if you paid attention.
It's not different logo and outlines but ok
Sam raimi had basically the sane suit throughout the trilogy what's the point of the suits?

Dude no, the character assassination is insane that no amount of continuity is going to rectify 😂
Character is miles more important than continuity
Spider-Man doesn’t have a consistent plot at all did u even watch the video?😭

@@DallasReimerThe plot is consistent to an extent, but the writing and the execution of it is incredibly bad. There's alot of character assassination and other factors but I do agree the action and acting was really good.
The reason why is because. In Spider-man Homecoming, Peter try to date Liz. And then Spider-man Far From Home, Peter date M.j!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is worse but Far from Home still has serious issues.
The teachers from the MCU Spiderman trilogy were the best thing about them and it's a shame we only had 3 movies with them
I find it interesting that more people are starting to become more critical of this movie now when it was widely praised back when it came out.
Finally when I first watch far from home and homecoming I instantly thought it was disappointing. Thanks for reviewing why.

Colin, if Peter snaps back at Flash he just fucking kills him. I don't mind that peter doesn't do anything back because I think this version of Flash Thompson is a joke and a non threat as a bully figure- why even bother saying anything back to his punk ass, he ain't gonna do shit.
I remember in the first movie when flash points back at him and says "YOU'RE DEAD!"
-nothing happens-
Peter in the comics stands up for himself from time to time when ppl shit on him. Tom Hollands Spider-Man never does with Flash.
@@C0LIN.Doesn't he slap him stand knock him out
"if Peter snaps back at Flash he just fucking kills him"
Why are you assuming that extreme physical force is the only option Peter has to stand up for himself? 💀
Are you forgetting that Spider-Man literally always holds back his strength against his opponents?
In the bus scene it asks peter if he wants to cancel and while denying punching flash he says "no" and Edith takes that no as the answer.
Unpopular opinion, I think far from home is great
No way Home is still better because at least Peter learns about responsibility and sacrifice
Why should he have to learn about that? If he is Spider-Man, why should he learn responsibility?
@Ftsuit459 because Tom Hollands Spiderman didn't knew sh1t about responsibility, as shown in the first 2 ones
@tomassmith1519 that doesn't make sense, because if he doesn't know responsibility why is he even Spider-Man? What is his motive to make the sacrifices and put himself in danger everyday if not for his responsibility? When I say the MCU destroyed everything about Spider-Man, I mean it
@Ftsuit459 that's exactly my point

Do we not like the movie because it’s a bad Spider-Man portrayal or the movie itself is bad or both?
TASM2 is an awful movie but even i would say its 1% BETTER than far from home. simply because peter in that film ACTS and FEELS more like spider-man. in ffh peter neglecting responsibility.
Can you guys enjoy anything?

sure its enjoyable to watch and so is tasm2. BUT that does not mean theyre GOOD films. youc an enjoy BAD films . they're NOT BORING.
Says peter shouldn't survive the attack then calls Mysterio stupid, bro wut
Are we ignoring the fact that Peter was caught in multiple explosions, got hit by sonic booms, and was on fire for several seconds and yet he’s only limping a bit? I get he has super powers but Spider-Man’s powers are more based around agility than durability. Also he pointed out how there were multiple features on the drones such as the invisibility and lasers that could’ve ended Peter.

You made some valid points in this video and I agreed with all of them. Far From Home is definitely the weakest in the Home trilogy. There are still some things to like about this movie such as the locations and scenery, impressive visuals, great acting, and I enjoyed the Iron Man/Tony Stark tributes. While not great, still better than TAS2
My biggest issue with Far From Home is the fact that it's not set in New York City. New York is to Spider-Man, like Gotham is to Batman.
Movies suck. Humans can't tell stories and we should just give up.
We shoud implode the planet
Didn’t skrull say at the end of the movie he can’t contact the avengers also why would stark tell shield about a guy being fired for being emotionally unstable plus in skrulls mind why he brought them there with the bus was so he could bring spider-man there and if he doesn’t bring him then the class would die anyway
I am so missed I am three months late to this vid. I can DESTROY all of your arguments and you may never even see it. Nonetheless...
Shield don't do anything: that's because Shield is DEAD! you forgot Cap: Winter Soldier? Nick Fury is operating privately.
Spiderman is not obligated to work with them.
Peter Tingle: I'll give you that one.
Flash: I disagree, I think Flash scenes are funny but let's just place the word "Subjective" in this one.
Suit In Bag: OK, one thing that is established about MCU Parker (one of the many traits they actually took from Miles) is that he is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE at hiding his true identity. I don't expect his Aunt to fare much better. There is also the possibility that no matter what, Fury has orchestrated that nothing will stop Peter arriving at specific locations.
Nick Telling Him: Parker was GHOSTING his calls, so he went there himself.
Spidey Has Reasons: Ultimately, Parker realises he is not ready to DIE to save the planet like Tony did. He is now truly prepared to be the friendly Neighbourhood Spiderman. But now he is in France, Then Germany, then Holland, then UK. he is FAR FROM HOME, and must do what is right no matter what!
Where is Doctor Strange?: Strange and the Kamar-Taj are Interdimensional border patrol on Earth. They are to stop foreign entities entering Earth unannounced AT ALL TIMES!
Brad: Peter feared Brad would tell MJ, and he was RIGHT!
EDITH: Tony's character was assainated in AGE OF ULTRON. You know, the Killer self duplicating robot he invented? He gas been doing stuff like this scene back then. Even Peter asks 'Why Me?' The answer is simple: because Parker is ALONE! he is not Avengers, Shield or World Nations. Parkers job was to keep the glasses away from them.
I'd like to hear how long you think it takes to EVACUATE A CITY!?
The Camera: yeah that bit is true. But again STOP CALLING THEM SHIELD!! They are not Shield.
Janice: Who REALLY CARES how she found out?
This is already very long so I'll end with this here: BARF!! In this speech, Tony makes it clear that he gave someone the funds needed to make the tech, but would not fund mass production. He is now giving these students THE SAME OPPORTUNITY to get creative and make something new. What's wrong with this scene is that they could have used it to usher in a backstory for RiRi Williams as well as Quentin.
This was a Okay spiderman movie.. but it never felt like a "Spider-Man movie" if you get what I mean. So is the deadpool and Wolverine trilogy more consistent the home trilogy?
Genuinely curious at this point I'm more indifferent to spiderman as a character but I am curious if wolverine and deadpool have more consistent films then the home trilogy?
Not a single MCU Spider-Man movie comes close to any of the Deadpool movies
No Way Home Begs To Different Objectively Speaking🤔@@C0LIN.
And a lot of what’s "wrong" with the movie are woulda coulda shouldas not what’s actually in the movie lol
@Colin how would you feel if Aunt May still let Peter be Spider-Man while still being serious about his safety ?
I think it's cause the first movie was written by like 7 different people and this one was written by only two guys
I’m noticing a trend here. Any movie that focuses heavily on just Peter and mJ or gwen relationship. Usually sucks ass
SUPER minor point but War machine isnt the only avenger trust with a suit Bruce was too Good points tho
Is it me or spider-man lost his identity once and overall persona when the suit was more fascinating than the main guy , that was the thing that made spider-man great in my opinion , the fact that he had all these abilities within himself and the suit was just a cover costume. idk i may be wrong .
I love this movie I understand your points but you're too harsh on this movie
I like far from home but I think you have some really good points.
that one episode of invincibe where omni man and his wife are on vacation and a dragon is attacking in the background made me think of this movie. omni man was portrayed as the bad guy for focusing on his vacation more than the threat. so peter was on some omni man level of "not my problem" vibe. one thing i dislike about tom hollands spiderman is he never truly seems that heroic and his web swinging is always mediocre . and it seems like protecting his identity is an afterthought. he also cares more about looking cool than saving people
Tbh I see Colin's points, but the ending of no way home still makes that movie way worse in my personal opinion
