They completely act like there are no male warriors in Wakanda. Its like Mbaku is the only man in Wakanda. They don't even add the male white panther military group that fights for the black panther in the comics. Which is where "white wolf" origin comes from which they tried to make it seem like Bucky is the white wolf. But in the comics white wolf is an adopted son of Tchaka.
To be fair, it was Africans who captured and enslaved other Africans and sold them to the Europeans and the Arabs. For hundreds of years, even before the “colonizers” arrived. Hell, they’re still doing it.
The worst thing has gotta be the fact that a lot of people knew of this really bad logic, but the producers wanted to give people this line as a salute, basically just farming brownie points
I want to add that Wakanda is located in a landlock central east africa mostly situated in real life Uganda. Which means they have no sea access, and makes me wonder where they port, and why a country based on isolation even has a naval vessel. The closest ocean to central east Africa is the Indian Ocean, which is completely opposite to where Atlantis is located in the MCU... the north atlantic. Essentially, the confrontation of the 2 kingdoms is very long, far and public...
They destroyed Namors story. His name was Roman, his uncles murdered his father and mother during his escape, he was captured by the Americans and forced to fight for them during WWII. He escaped thanks to Captain America, returned to Atlantis and named himself Namor (his name in reverse) rose up the ranks in the Atlanian army, murdered his uncles and cousins one at a time and took over the throne. The movie hes a man who do not know love and was defeated when they dried his back... yup they dried a mexicans back to defeat him...
Super friends Aquaman told me to tell you that, "drying out your back is pretty mean though." I would read the rest of the letter he sent but he clearly didn't write it in waterproof ink ...
I'm sorry but his name just being roman is incomparably worse to the in movie origin. Also they gave him much more interesting background and design in the movie
@@forodinssake9570 Eh. You mean they guy who dresses like an Aztec nobleman cliché many centuries after the Aztec Empire fell, and whose entire underwater magic kingdom (which once again, like Wakanda, has a secret "cheat code" in the form of a magic plot device metal/crystal that allows them to have hightech underwater and without any of the downsides of an industrial civilization) has been in cultural stasis for centuries?
bro him being an underwater mexican warlord is so much more interesting than him being a white atlantean european dude. some changes are for the better, plus it’d be too similar to aquaman
Writers: "ok so, why would Namor hate the surface dwelers/humanity?" Comics: "because humans are literally destroying the oceans and themselves. Also, he's a mutant and there's a war against mutants because humanity fears them." Writers: "...well that's stupid."
This is one of those movies where it’s really obvious that the plot only occurred because the characters were mentally nerfed, from Namor thinking he can go to war with the world with his very small army, to Shuri being mad at the world for T’challa dying of natural causes, to Wakanda not using electricity to fight people who live in the water, so many dumb things happened in this movie fr
To be fair Namor does not have a small army in fact he said something like millions in the story, and Namor the character himself is a Demi god and total badass in the comics who often tries to go to war with the world.
Namor being a total moron in this movie ESPECIALLY pissed me off, because in the comics he's one of the smartest people on Earth. HE LITERALLY IS PART OF THE ILLUMINATE, which has people like Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Mr Fantastic, and I think Ant-Man (Hank Pym). Granted the MCU doesn't follow the lore of the comics to a T, and that's fine. My problem is not comic book accuracy, but rather that they completely bastardized his character! Dude is a Genius yet he can't use logic to determine that threatening Wakanda immediately when you first meet them is the DUMBEST thing you could possibly do
@@Goobergurl what you said about comic book accuracy rings so true of almost everything from Phase 4. Fans aren't frustrated that it's not a 1 for 1 adaptation, because the MCU was never that. We're frustrated by both WHAT is being changed, HOW it's being changed and WHY. I'll be honest, I've never cared for Namor, but if you're going to adapt him into the MCU, you need to be very careful about what you change. And making him a bumbling moron is not a change that will sit well with people, who know how intelligent he SHOULD be
The script would have been taking place after Endgame and found out he had a son and it was grieving about the loss of time. Nakia moved on and married a Haitian man. Namor was always gonna be the main antagonist. Val was also in the script too.
Let’s not talk about how heavily nerf namor was. They really had untrained shuri beat him. They gave him a dumb weakness. Namor went toe to toe with hulk in the comics. There is no way he should lose to shuri.
@@kingsin8362 she is untrained. She has never fought somebody one on one like namor. There is no way in hell she should’ve won that fight. Plot armor at its best right there.
Riri is the worst MCU character ever. She takes people’s stuff, constantly yells at people, throws temper tantrums, and has a massive ego. This is the “superhero” that replaces Tony Stark.
@@TheUncivilizedNation Fair enough... begrudgingly🤣 Ya gotta remember they're gonna give her that Tony treatment tell she becomes extremely popular with the fanbase. Make flawed, selfish annoying character a redemptive hero. They tried winning RiRi over a few years back when Thanos humbled her, but it still didn't work or didn't last long. I'm guessing they're hoping that the MCU helps with that!
@pysz6748 Looking back at it in AM3Q. Antman's daughter was a terrible character with similar traits to RiRi. MCU... no Disney has a problem with making unlikable Mary Sue then gaslighting the fanbase when the characters are not well received!
@@milesharris249 Because the movie itself wasn't that great, sadly. I think the marvel/superhero fatigue is weighing on everyone and she still didn't get a lot of scenes.
i fr dont like how the movie portrays namor's response to nakia rescuing shuri as somewhat justified and that people see namor as an anti hero when the movie shows the water people literally forcing emergency workers to die
@@forodinssake9570 I know there’s a scene showing that. The point is that they had that scene portray namor as a character that is justified somewhat in his actions when if one person is killed because that person tried to execute royalty of another country and you respond with killing multiple emergency workers and probably many civilians it’s a little bit of an overreaction

I hate how this movie reset Wakanda sharing Vibranuim to the world to now backtracking and gatekeeping it. Like the world tracking Vibranuim cuz of the fact Wakanda said “no” after years of sharing is literally why the movie starts Even ironic cuz the first movie said “the wise build bridges whilst the foolish build barriers”…..
I agree with basically everything you said except for why didn’t Shuri add flight tech to her black panther suit. Two reasons. 1. Do people really wanna see a Black Panther that can fly? Cuz I know I wouldn’t. 2. By that logic, why doesn’t every avenger have a suit of Iron Man armor? Hawkeye would be much more efficient if he could quickly fly up to vantage points.
Well for 2 I think it was explained that most of the avengers aren't comfortable with using his suits and would want to use their own skills, my memory is extra fogy since I haven't watched the OG avengers in a while but I think that's the explanation that was given (espacially for captain america).
@@malikpierre-louis3343 While that does make sense, Age of Ultron would have gone much quicker if Hawkeye was flying around shooting robots with a bow than if he was just stuck on the ground. So putting pride before efficiency seems wrong to me. More lives saved the better.

@@malikpierre-louis3343Nope, “still a better reason than none at all” Its a movie, and the reason you provided isnt supported by the movie. What are you trying to talk about at this point?
The Okoyu thing is because remember in the first movie, Okoyu being loyal to the throne made her almost start a world war that could have destroyed Wakanda and the rest of the world. The Queen still feeling resentment is actually justified because she felt betrayed again at her failure. I honestly felt the same about Okoyu being allowed to get off so easily in the first movie.
But she did let her off easy because they're very close, so it doesn't make sense that she does this now and the fact that she never apologizes to Okoye
@@C0LIN. You can still be close with someone while still being close with them. Does Okoyu need to be forgiven? No! Betrayal is one of the worst offenses you can make and failing to protect the princess is another offense though that is on the writing for what happened.

Okoye literally helped Romanda when it came down to it in BP1 3. The Shuri example was out of her control as I explained in the video and Romanda is just as responsible for Shuri leaving in the first place 4. They need Okoye for the impending conflict so firing her right now, and then not having any kind of resolution with her right before this is completely stupid
Can we just stop complaining about why they never call the Avengers? This is a problem that has, is, and will continue to be a thing in movies, shows, and comics for eternity. It's dumb that they don't, but come on you know why.....
@SunSeeker492 .....yes. Let's keep the same energy. We let it slide with the comics, and they don't have to deal with the financial wall that makes it difficult to bring in other characters. Sure, they could be smarter with how they explain it, but what you're asking for is a stifling of creativity. Bruce Wayne never needs to don a mask again because he can just ring up Superman or Flash to zip thru Gotham real quick to take care of any issue, but where's the fun in that? What would you have them do? What entertaining way can they tell a story consistently without the need to bring other heroes in? Or do they just stop make individual movies and only focus of Avengers and Justice League level movies?
At least in the earlier MCU movies they would try to explain that certain movies took place simultaneously with each other, age of ultron and ant man being around the same few months of each other, antman 2 and infinity war.. etc, the only real hiccup in the mcu before endgame was where tf were the avengers during the events of Thor 2, I guess they thought the villain was too boring.
at the end where you have s.k. explain why the trial by combat is stupid i feel like it’s unfair to put the blame on T’chaka for not changing the rules for that since most likely he wanted to but as we know his life was cut short. so maybe after the events of age of ultra he was planning on changing the rules but never got the chance to, BUT it absolutely should be pitted on T’Challa since in black panther the main lesson to be learned was that wakanda needed to change so the fact that he didn’t change the combat rules at the end of the movie after killmonger died is indeed very dumb
I don’t think either are bad movies I personally really liked the first one and I enjoyed a lot of moments from Wakanda forever. Are there moments from the second movie that i wish we’re done better? Yes but i enjoyed both.
@@darkenergy9760 True and i can admit there are faults in every movie but i don’t think there is necessarily a dumb movie but there are movies that don’t live up to their full potential and Wakanda forever is definitely one of those. I think all the current marvel movies are like that.
@@C0LIN. I feel like bad is a bit harsh; a bad marvel movie would be like Black Widow or Quantammania but I honestly think Black Panther is one of Marvels best. Wakanda Forever is definitely one of its weakest movies but i wouldn’t call it bad just underwhelming
Thought this movie was trash during the first watch... and that's rare for me as I like to enjoy movies for what they are on the first watch... but there was just too much wrong with this movie to ignore. My biggest gripe, Namor excels underwater, flies, but never flies Black Panther to the water or under it. I watched that final fight in utter disbelief how someone said to be as feared, as the movie made him out to be, would not once use his greatest strength, which would literally be his greatest Foe's biggest weakness, against her.
14:28 I’m glad someone brought this up. How can this be seen as heroic? I don’t care how you feel about cops in the real world, in this situation, the police we’re trying to apprehend an invading political figure who was suspected of wrongdoing doing (this is just me, but trying to sneak a child out of the country without her parents permission is it going to help their case). And for just doing their job, all of these officers got nearly massacred. I miss when superheroes would go out of their way to preserve the lives of their enemies.
I'm just glad more people are admitting that this movie was terrible. They made Wakandans Warhawks level idiots and Namor even less effective at finding arbitrary reasons to fight the surface world. And I'll skip the fact that Shuri was technically the first woman to get stabbed in a lethal area and survive because...reasons.
The sad (or worst) part about this movie was how it disgustingly exploited Chadwick Boseman's death just to gain sympathy points from the audience while also NOT doing the same thing when William Hurt passed away and Marvel just replaced him with Harrison Ford as Thunderbolt Ross in Captain America 4. Just disgusting AND hypocritical all around. 😒
Being mad at this is stupid. You onow why he wasnt recognized, because he wasnt the cash cow at the time. Stop trying to make it an actors vs actors things.
It's hard to find people who share this same sentiment I honestly thought to myself if you where to leave out the Chadwick factor This would have been generally received as a mid movie
THANK YOU I always get weird looks when I tell people these movies are racist with the whole “colonizer” thing I’m not from (nor live in) the US, I’m Mexican, so I always thought maybe I was out of touch or something.
9:52 Since this takes a short time after NWH I don't think that Namor will be able to know him because he (like everyone else in the world), got his mind wiped of Spider-Man/Peter Parker. 11:02 I may like to note that slavery does still exist in plenty of places in the world although it's mainly not sanctioned/allowed by the government it's just practiced by warlords, but that doesn't change that fact that it still exist in the world. 22:22 Also, considering the fact that the system of trial by combat got Killmonger on the throne (and this movie acknowledges him), and the fact Killmonger being on the throne almost plunged the entire world into war and T'Challa wanted to do away with bad traditions, you think he would do away with one of the ones that almost ended Wakanda and a great dela of the world, and is arguably the worst one.
I think Shuri even becoming black panther was stupid. She’s never trained her body or underwent training to take the heart. On top of that, she never even BELIEVED in Bast, why in the world would he have accepted her? It should’ve been Okaya
MCU Namor WAAAY DIFFERENT than Comic Book Namor. In the comics, he's a egotistical, impulsive, overconfident king who would literally destroy anyone and anything for his kingdom. He's a tall white man in the comics. The guy is JACKED! Legit every marvel character wants him on his side. He's not a short Mexican guy who lives in some Aztec or Mayan civilization underwater. He's ruler of Atlantis! And to top it all off, he was actually created wav before Aguaman was created. And the MCU ruined him. He went from bullying characters like Magneto to having the same weakness as Aquaman! FAILURE!

I think the only part of this review I really disagree with is “where are the avengers!?” Because, after Endgame, who even are the Avengers anymore? I don’t think the Avengers have been an organised unit in any way since Civil War- and *especially* after endgame. There are no more Avengers
Until I see T’challa as black panther as the intelligent, badass fighter and Namor as the arrogant, ripped, powerful ruler of Atlantis as he is, I will never see a Black Panther Movie.
People saying this movie is overrated when I don’t think I know a single person that says they still like this movie. People saw it and kinda just forgot it. That’s not overrated if nobody remembers or talks about it.
Nah fr, I’m tired of being called sexist or racist because I didn’t like the movie. Shuri shouldn’t have become the Black Panther. It just didn’t make any sense. In the first movie, she was the tech wiz, in her “fight” with Killmonger, she kept her distance with her gauntlets because she doesn’t know how to fight. But all of a sudden, she’s able to throw down with Namor no problem. Ain’t no way, I’m sorry but hell nah. Namor was a total moron throughout the movie. Ironheart had 0 reason to be a part of this movie. Her character just seemed so forced it was painfully obvious. Movie had some good moments, like Chadwick’s tribute and funeral scene. Oh yeah, and how they treated Ross was just straight up racism. Great video @Colin.
Okay already a lot of the criticisms are just nit-picks, especially Namor's Motivation, its not about slavery, its about colonization and exploitation od the Maya people, and its not an issue of the past. Indigenous people in the Americas suffer from the effects of colonialism to this day in various form. Also characters dont have to always act perfectly logical, thats such a silly criticism
Riri also downs a us military drone over a city and crashes it into cop cars possibly killing and definitely injuring some cops just trying to do their jobs also the wakandans just ignore borders and inflict their will across the globe which was one of the things the U.N hated the avengers doing causing the sokovia accords and the civil war.
Bro! You left out one of the biggest issues of this movie. They basically character assassinated T'Challa. He apparently had an incurable illness that he didn't tell anyone about and just let himself die. You can't be much more irresponsible of a leader than that. What they should have done was have T'Challa die from the next Phase's big bad, like a hero.
Haven’t watched the video yet and im not hating. But i truly do not like this movie. its not the worst MCU movie by any means, but i just didn’t care about anyhting that happened in the movie
Calling ross or any white person a "colonizer" would be the same as someone calling wakandans "spearchuckers." Which would actually fit since they unironically use spears, and yet they'd act offended and indignant if someone called them that.
Namor showed up to the one nation who had just as much vibrainiom and proceeded to start a war. Like if Namor would’ve waited like a few more days I promise the government would’ve fucked over wakanda.
Surely the more respectful thing to do would've been be to stop production on the project for a few years to let me people grieve, and when enough time has passed, recast T'Challa and resume production?
17:40 Yes there supposed to be one Black Panther but in the comics Bast finally granted Shuri with the power after Shuri got molly rocked and ate some humble pie thinking she can fight Namor. She had him in the first half but got cocky and he dropped her if not for Mr. Fantastic, Namor would've beaten her worse. After that she takes the herb and T'Challa is on bed rest but still the Black Panther so they had two Black Panthers. T'Challa and Shuri team up a lot till Shuri dies and is brought back to life by T'Challa and Eden.
It's not a bad movie just highly flawed with only a few things saving it from being bottom tier. Like one thing you didn't talk about is how Tchalla is written off. I get that they didn't wanna recast but I really wish they did. They recasted Thunderbolt Ross. Maybe that's because the public wasn't as attached to that character but it's the way he's written off that makes it so insulting. He just dies off screen to a mysterious illness that's never explained. Wouldn't the heart shaped herb give him resistance to that kinda thing since it makes his body physically stronger than most humans to the point where he's outmatched Steve Rogers in most cases? He's also king of the most advanced nation in the world that has tech making guns just a minor annoyance to them. Why wouldn't he tell people he's sick and seek treatment ASAP? Pride, I guess I don't know. They obviously wanted it to have similarities with the actors' real life passing, which is like why? It doesn't work given who the Black panther is. At first I thought maybe I'd be revealed in a post credit scene that Doctor Doom was behind it in a plot to weaken wakanda because he thinks there can't be another one due to there being no more heart shaped herbs at the time but that didn't happen so as it stands it's very lame
I understood and agreed with most the points. The only one that I disagreed with was the firing of okoye. She said she'd shuri back to her when the queen was hesitant on the idea, so when she didn't, it showed the queen that okoye couldn't stay true to her word after showing full confidence to retrieving shruri. Other than that tho, dope vids
This movie feels like it’s saying “look! Black people! Clap for us! If you don’t like the movie your racist!” My biggest gripe with this movie is ironheart. Riri should have a solo film or miniseries. Not inserted into the sequel to black panther. It would be like if miles was introduced into the X-Men because they’re both part of groups that are minorities and suffer discrimination. They don’t even get the culture they represent right! Like I remember there was an accessory worn by someone only to find out that said accessory in the culture was worn by the opposite gender during a very specific time. Back to Riri, but she feels incredibly rushed. She has 0 connection to Tony, and her suit doesn’t even look that good. Black panther 1 had its flaws but was still an enjoyable movie. This movie is just a nothing movie. I think it’s very much so do to the passing of Chadwick but even after his passing this movie should have life. It just feels bland
I haven't gotten deep in this vid at all, yet, but, even as a black man who thought the first movie was decent, I really didn't like this one and STILL haven't rewatched it since it came out on Dis+. The only other MCU movie I've done that with that I'd already seen in the theathsr is Love and Thunder. I don't remember all the issues I had with this movie, but the major one was that whole UNNECESSARY Namor storyline. It was waaaay too much and too long. They basically tried to give him his own movie within the movie. Terrible. I also wasn't feeling Suri ghis time around. I get she's going thru it because of her brother's death, but she was just a srag on the movie, imo, whereas in the first one, she stole the show. I get it but just didn't feel how this played out, at all. I've actually had it on my mind that I want to reqatch this movie, from time to time, but I never give in. I'll continue with this vid....

He was soft and passive. Not to mention he had weakness to fire just like the Saturday show Aquaman and Friends is laughable. TERRIBLE!!!
I think the fact that I didn't even remember the plot for this movie if not for this video says enough. I remember the plot of the original black panther and that was years before.
11:15 I think the explanation was that the lab was a decoy to check if people were looking for a way to get vibranium. Thats why the french were able to get in

The actual line is "you were calling for his head when his only crime was intimidation" They are referring to M'Baku wanting the "head of the fishman" after Namor first showed up, but having now wanting to back down from the fight It is said for the exact opposite reason you think
I understand your point but a lot of movies do dumb things or make a mistake. But I still like it because it have both of my race in one movie. And that’s rare to see that two races fighting but at the end they get along together
All I'll say about this movie is...well. There was no winning outcome here. This movie had, perhaps, some of the worst circumstances possible. People loved the first one too much to cancel it, they had already committed to not recasting Chadwick, no matter who they decided to pick to replace T'Challa, people were going to be upset, and they had to try and write the blandest piece of bread I've seen in Marvel's bakery of all time, Ironheart. I envy no one here. Edit, post video: A, Strawberry. B, good video. I'm very middling on this movie, and while I have my dislikes, I'm prevented from going ham on it because of the above circumstances. On paper, it could be good, but considering all the things happening beforehand, I saw no possible way for it to succeed, and even now I still don't see what would have been the best outcome. Also by "some of the worst circumstances possible" I mean by general foundational things, obviously it could have been worse. It's an exaggeration, I know, but I stand by my point. Yell at me if you wish, I know I'm pretty dumb anyway.
At 18:16 in the video you confused the elders statement the actual line was "you were calling for his head when his only crime was intimidation" which is a call back to when mbaku wanted namor dead. Now after killing the queen Mbaku doesn't want to kill namor and he's asking why would you the first person who wanted him killed arguing for his life.
I don't think Riri killed anyone in that scene because you see all the cops to the far left of the explosion. Still kind of crazy that where's she decided to drop it, but I don't think anyone got killed.
What made me dislike this movie was the post credit scene. It undermines shuri as the new black panther, as well as the tribute to chadwick boesman by forshadowing his kid as a replacement for both of them
I agree with most of your takes. My only issues is with some of the Namor stuff. From the start he said that his issue with wakanda was that they let the world know about vibranium. If they (the world) didn't know about vibranium then his people wouldn't be in danger. You figure I'm sure the reason the warrior didn't kill the wakanda warrior chick (I'm terrible at remembering names) was to not start a war. Plus it seemed like he was impressed with her skill, kinda like a warrior seeing a worthy adversary in battle. Namor not trusting humans makes sense in that they (the slavers) attacked his people for no reason. From his perspective the surface world just attacked his people for no reason when they went to bury his mother. Plus imo he didn't start the war, the lady who snuck in and killed one of his people. Wakanda killed first. After he shared what he's protecting to their princess. I can imagine that seeming like a spit in the face in his eyes. The warrior letting the princess meet Namor seemed more like they were impressed that this surface worlder managed to communicate with them verbally. Just wanted to say this. Great video though!
5:00 the take of Namor not taking into account that Wakanda hasn’t been invaded isn’t thought out because the movie literally explores how NATO has countries in it that are trying to seize Wakandan Global Outposts for Vibranium in the first act and not to mention Everett Ross’s whole plot line is to show that there’s tensions behind the scenes and that the U.S is more than willing to take action against Wakanda with force. does Namor know all this? nah more than likely not but I’m pretty sure he’s smart enough to understand the implications of what world powers can (and will, as shown throughout the movie) do when they discover a nation like Talokan, especially knowing that Wakanda is now not the only nation in the world that has Vibranium, that will instantly put them on the radars of NATO

Not to mention the North Atlantic is nowhere near the kingdom of the ancient Aztecs in Meso-America.
They upgraded Namor, instead of a boring generic "son of Man and Atlantean" origin we get an Immortal Mayan God Emperor.

I think to the point about Shuri, she was being hyperbolic in emotion

Dude is a Genius yet he can't use logic to determine that threatening Wakanda immediately when you first meet them is the DUMBEST thing you could possibly do
They did the same with Mr. Fantastic as well
He’s also an arrogant prick, which I’m disappointed never really came through in this adaptation
In the MCU the illuminati is filled with idiots, so this is just consistency

I'll be honest, I've never cared for Namor, but if you're going to adapt him into the MCU, you need to be very careful about what you change. They're not wrong though, this movie outright had the CIA Director saying they want it all and to dominate the world
because the USA is selfish, and would use vibranium to build war weapons and dominate all countries

The Okoyu thing is because remember in the first movie, Okoyu being loyal to the throne made her almost start a world war that could have destroyed Wakanda and the rest of the world. The Queen still feeling resentment is actually justified because she felt betrayed again at her failure.

Can we just stop complaining about why they never call the Avengers? This is a problem that has, is, and will continue to be a thing in movies, shows, and comics for eternity. It's dumb that they don't, but come on you know why.....
Ah yes, let's blatantly ignore the entire fucking concept of A CONNECTED UNIVERSE for the sake of convenience.

THIS
It's a Black Panther movie without T'Challa....instant fail!
At first I thought maybe I'd be revealed in a post credit scene that Doctor Doom was behind it in a plot to weaken wakanda because he thinks there can't be another one due to there being no more heart shaped herbs at the time but that didn't happen so as it stands it's very lame
so happy i got the notification bell- keep up the good work
I understood and agreed with most the points.
Black panther 1 had its flaws but was still an enjoyable movie. nah ngl namor holding that grudge is real😭🙏🏾 As an African American male whos part Nigerian, And Jamaican: I have family members who still own land after slavery ended and they were being put on land that they “owned” and making pennies for all their hard work for the (don’t take this out of context) White Americans; ) So namor holding that grudge for over 100 years is valid because that’s exactly what our world is still doing today because not much has changed just a little over 70 years ago we actually became accepted and shit barley that tbh we were still shunned and looked down on and still couldn’t drink in any bars with out judgement 🤷🏽♂️. And Police brutality had been at an high especially how a White Male cop killer a woman last week became she poured out a pot of water in the sink and said “ I rebuke u in the name of Jesus” Like seriously 💀 Now ik u think im yapping rn all im saying is Its a valid reason especially because they didn’t see the entire world change they stayed under water 98% of their time and mainly Namor came up to practice his abilities or gain resources: So realistically and reasonably Cut him and the movie some slack the movie is not bad but ik its not the best but this whole damn comment section is sucking all up on it. And Ik 99% of these comments when they saw the movie they was like OMG this movie tuff this movie fire: Yall probably the same people who switched up on Andrew garfield TASM2
He’s Mayan in the MCU. The Mayans were first to mix with the conquistadors. It should’ve been the Aztecs for historical accuracy since they were the ones who fraud checked the Spaniards when they first met
Don’t forget black widow ‼️‼️
It’s funny the original plot was basically them mourning time, namor would’ve still been the villain and stuff
And i do agree how its dumb that the government didn’t approach before: The youtube channel of sightings with her is practically the same thing peter did When tony found him and aunt may in civil war
The actual line is "you were calling for his head when his only crime was intimidation"
They are referring to M'Baku wanting the "head of the fishman" after Namor first showed up, but having now wanting to back down from the fight
It is said for the exact opposite reason you think
11:05 there is more modern slavery today in 2024 than there was back in the mid 1800s during the middle passage. Heads up. 😅
3:47 As a side bar there were in Boston of all cities; which even LESSENS their chances of staying low key 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Click bait a hell of a drug.
the fire did more damage to namor because he's a water type
I don't think Riri killed anyone in that scene because you see all the cops to the far left of the explosion. Still kind of crazy that where's she decided to drop it, but I don't think anyone got killed.
2:32 Let this man cook
invisible ship I the ocean. let that sink in. like what would an invisible boat do the water. stealth doesn't work when you are in any liquid
What made me dislike this movie was the post credit scene. It undermines shuri as the new black panther, as well as the tribute to chadwick boesman by forshadowing his kid as a replacement for both of them
If your movie has these many plot holes then your writing team (yeah this movie was written by multiple people) is just incompetent.
I get you have some EXTREMELY rational points, but I can't sit thru 25 mins of this cause I personally really like this movie.

the take of Namor not taking into account that Wakanda hasn’t been invaded isn’t thought out because the movie literally explores how NATO has countries in it that are trying to seize Wakandan Global Outposts for Vibranium in the first act and not to mention Everett Ross’s whole plot line is to show that there’s tensions behind the scenes and that the U.S is more than willing to take action against Wakanda with force.
does Namor know all this? nah more than likely not but I’m pretty sure he’s smart enough to understand the implications of what world powers can (and will, as shown throughout the movie) do when they discover a nation like Talokan, especially knowing that Wakanda is now not the only nation in the world that has Vibranium, that will instantly put them on the radars of NATO
