By using a TAS-only strategy called "Rapid Fire Chewing", we can theoretically bring the record down to sub-3 min. However, as of February 2021, this is not humanly possible.

Summoning Salt is one of the few youtubers that can actually make you emotionally invested into the story that he presents to you, it starts off with the discovery of the methods to save time, then eventually becomes focused on the people trying to get world records. In the end while the times are impressive, it's all about the journey the people went through to get them. Truly beautiful stuff

Well, I arrived at this late but I am the Jaden mentioned in the video. Finding the OOB spot was a very surreal experience for me. I almost did not bother sharing my discovery at all, figuring it was already known and debunked, so I am very grateful that I did. If you want to see a piece of MKW history I still have the old rMR theory video up on my channel. I have mostly moved on from theorizing glitches and focus on making custom tracks now, a whole other side of the Mario Kart Wii community I highly recommend checking out. It is insane to think it has been over two years since the original ultra shortcut video (which inspired me to look into rMR in the first place), and how much has happened since then. I can't wait to see what else this community does next!

Okay, i know it has been three years but hear me out. This is not just one of the best videos about shortcuts or video games in general. This is one of the best videos i have ever seen in my life. The music you used, the footage, your explainations and your voice itself. Im absolutely stunned and love to listen to this video every once in a while. To be honest, a paint drying speedrun seems intersting, you would have to find a really cold (or hot, i don't know which helps) place so the paint dries faster, and maybe have a dozen fans also blowing air at the same time just to get that paint to dry as fast as possible

I've always loved his recurring joke for older games about a certain method of public transportation.

Well, I arrived at this late but I am the Jaden mentioned in the video. Finding the OOB spot was a very surreal experience for me. I almost did not bother sharing my discovery at all, figuring it was already known and debunked, so I am very grateful that I did. If you want to see a piece of MKW history I still have the old rMR theory video up on my channel. I have mostly moved on from theorizing glitches and focus on making custom tracks now, a whole other side of the Mario Kart Wii community I highly recommend checking out. It is insane to think it has been over two years since the original ultra shortcut video (which inspired me to look into rMR in the first place), and how much has happened since then. I can't wait to see what else this community does next!
