  • It's time for a facelift for my personal editing system. I decided to go with a black and white theme using the NZXT S340 Elite and also review it in the process. Enjoy!

    I've had this case about a month now and it's still amazing to look at every time. I find myself just staring at my PC.

    amazing video Matt! Just wondering. What's the Cpu temp if you place an x42's fan as an exhaust? was thinking of the same build with 2 AF fans for front intake.

    Awesome vid! Moving my PC to the nzxt s340 elite and adding the kraken x62 as an intake. Struggling to decide what my 2 exhaust fans must be. Struggling between the be quiet silent wings 3, corsair ml or the nzxt aer rgb. Any tips? Thanks

    What kind of fans are on the top and rear? I'm building a black and white rig similar to yours and those look great. Thanks.

    Mine just came in yesterday! I did the combo deal that NZXT was running for valentines day. Got the 340e with a WHITE hue+. Ordered some AER RGB fans as well! Can't wait to put it together.

    I just changed from CM Stacker 930 to the S340 Elite. Smaller footprint and really nice case.

    I have this case! I love the tempered glass compared to the plastic on most cases :D

      +Canos I was floored at how clean the system looks! It's also smaller volume wise without compromising on cable management. I think I'll use this case for a very very long time.

    I cannot decide if i want to go matte black or white. Does the white one get dirty easily? with dirt and stuff?

    Will this case get that yellowish color after time? or someone have got that problem? thinking of changing my setup to white/black theme and i'm scared of that yellowish tone that come after time.

    You should put the SSD in the new front SSD location; it looks a lot nicer through the glass. Just use the SATA extender that came with the case and run it through the empty space between the hard drive cage and the front dust filter (same with the power connector). Most people try to run it through the hard drive cage and that eliminates one spot to put in a 2nd hard drive; that's a big no no. The cables will stick out a little without the dust filter on, but once you put the dust filter back on you won't see the cables at all. However, I did solve the cables sticking out issue by tightening the cables with velcro so they don't pop out in the empty space and I can remove/put back on the front dust filter without any trouble.

      Darvin Diep I didn't realize mine came with a Sata extension. I hope I can find it. That would cut out a cable from my modular PSU

      Goto Tech Reviews I love this case though. So simple and and clean. I'm glad I got it over the p400s even the tempered glass version doesn't look as good to me

      +Hunter Long I have a review on the P400 TG Edition coming in the next while, not quite as good as the S340 Elite but still a great case in its own right.

      +Bane Antic Temperatures are actually lower on the CPU and the GPU is a tad warmer.

    How is the air flow configured in this case? It baffles me every time. Are you intaking through the front and exgausting through the rear and top? And i so wish they did the vengeance white LED ram in sticks of 4gb so i could get 4. For now can only afford 2 and will just have to deal with the ugly gaps. You pretty much aesthetically built the pc i am planning, its gorgeous. well done!

    • @GotoTechReviewsChannel
      @GotoTechReviewsChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Steve M Thanks! I'm quite proud of it and still not finished (are they ever?!) intake through the front, exhaust through rear and top.

    • @Assimilator702
      @Assimilator702 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Goto Tech Reviews Sounds like it's working for you. Gamers Nexus complained about the lack of venting on the front panel prevents from adequate air flow with front mounted fans. Are you staying around 60 degrees even under heavy load?

    • @kristoffer8740
      @kristoffer8740 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joe Rico he used the stock fan configuration during thermal testing meaning no front intake fans.

    •  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      U can have decent airflow with even 800 rpm fans at the front no problem Rig will stay cool and quiet. I own NZXT S340 and it's great.

  • @ddmm9099
    @ddmm9099 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would run the front intake fans at a slightly higher rpm and the exhaust rear and top fans at a slightly lower rpm. This will create a little more positive pressure so that your case isn't sucking in air from tiny corners and crevices AND with it that pesky dust.
    edit: typo

    • @GotoTechReviewsChannel
      @GotoTechReviewsChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +mavzeyas The only thing I used the molex connector was for the Hue+ as that requires that connection oddly enough.

    • @xtrash1ove
      @xtrash1ove 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i guess the guy was asking about the Y-connector that connects both of pre-installed 3-pin fans to a molex, then PSU. Correct me if I'm wrong but you can pretty much send it into a trash bin and plug these 3pins directly to the MB for the better control.

    • @GotoTechReviewsChannel
      @GotoTechReviewsChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Erik Hänninen Either. I'm partial to the white personally but the black is equally stunning. Depends on the rest of your components and their colors as well. White goes well with LEDs too.

    How do you think the case would do if only air cooled? Enough fans?

    • @GotoTechReviewsChannel
      @GotoTechReviewsChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +BillnWa you can fit 2x140mm fans up front and the exhaust ports are directly inline with the CPU. I imagine this would cool rather well with an air cooler, there's nothing that would limit you here except for maybe height, though I do t think there's many that wouldn't fit.
