- NZXT sent us their new S340 Elite case and when we spotted the extra front ports for USB and HDMI, we decided to make the ultimate NZXT VR-Ready Gaming PC.

step by step, for those who are new to building pcs, this is a great video, its basically a tutorial

This was an awesome build to watch since I'm building a nearly identical PC. (TridentZ RAM instead, a Radeon R3 SSD, and the GTX 970 that I already own.) So I got a good sneak peek to what my rig will look like.

I find it very relaxing watching somebody build a computer, no idea why.
I just built my first computer ever in this case about a week ago! It looks amazing, I have the white case. Wish you uploaded this earlier because it would have helped out, but thankfully BitWit uploaded a build in this case. I would recommend showing a close up of plugging in the power cable and led cables from the case to the motherboard because i had to look that up online along with a few other things. It took ALL DAY, but I finally did it, and when I was finally able to turn it on (my brand new monitor was giving me such a hard time displaying anything) It felt so great finally being done and having it turn on made me so happy. Thank you PCPartPicker, couldn't have done it without you.
The amount of people begging for this PC is amazing...

Does the USB hub come with the case, the X62 or the Hue +? Also why put the hue LEDs in the back of the case?

Is it possible to drive 2 x Aer RGB fans and 1 x LED Strip off of 1 x Hue + ?
Yep. We used 2x Aer fans and 2x LED strips. The Hue+ has two channels for multiple LED components.

Was the pre applied thermal compound any good? I had issue with the one on the x61 and to remove it and apply arctic silver to get proper temperatures.
You can connect up to 5 Aer RGB fans and all four strips.
Am I tho only one who saw that he didn't fully snap in the IO shield...ocd is taking over whoever gets this system please Uninstaller the motherboard and finish shaping the IO shield in then let me know thanks

You're right, 500w would be plenty.
yes! technology has come far my friend, i'm almost certain that this build wouldn't pass 400w
Domantas Jankauskas its more than enough. recommended psu for gtx 1080 is 550watt
evga's supernova g2 PSUs are second to none
LieutenantBill its not cheaping out, you would be stupid to use a higher wattage psu because that would just drive up your electricity bill. a higher wattage psu is less effecient on a low wattage load. just like a psu of 400 watts for a 370 watt build is going to be inefficient.

This really helped to see what the motherboard would look in the S340 Elite case. I just bought the Krait 3X and will soon buy the Elite and it's nice to know what it'll look like in advance :)

This is definitely an asmr build video lol. I actually used this video a couple years ago when building my pc. It was perfect because I basically used the parts list from this video and then used the video as a step-by-step guide.

uuugh NZXT is so sleek and beautiful. The way they blend curves and straight lines is really top notch. Every time I see the S340 Elite, I am more excited about getting one soon.
Not sure if I'm 100% behind the RGB fans, but I prefer them to the Corsair ones.

The sound of the screwdriver is so calming . Daisy chaining the fans for rgb is cool too. Altho I'm still surprised it only needs 550W O.o. But then again last time I owned a pc the Pentium III was all the rage

Thank you for showing the how to connect the Aer fans with the x52 and the USB hub. I ordered the parts and was worried how it's going to fit in my mini itx build, but with the hub it should be fine. Noone else on TH-cam seems to show this or tell you you may have issues with a mini itx 👍

Is it recommended to install the X62 radiator and fans the way you did in this video (fans on the outside and radiator on the inside), or the other way around? I've seen other builds with the fans on the inside.
