Just ordered the Hue+. Was having a hard time deciding between the Hue+ or the new Cablemod Widebeam RGB's. They're similarly priced and both look great. After watching this video I'm glad I went with what I did. I didn't realize how many cool effects were available and how much you can customize them. Plus having the dual channels and extension makes everything easy. Hopefully this product causes other companies to step their lighting game up. It's odd that it's taken this long to finally get something better than a cheap strip of LED's or cathodes. It's not like it's some cutting edge technology, NZXT just finally put time and money into it.
Good thing to know in the custom tab, you can individually assign each individual led a different color.
I still have the old Hue with the analog dials in my white H630 with a black window panel. A cool feature for the Hue+ is if somehow you could make it so when the PC goes to sleep the Hue+ could be set to breathing mode. Then it would be like the old Mac and other laptop sleep indicators.

Updating comment...to show that you should always separate your cables if you own multiple modular PSU's.
Nathan Stephenson He's released an apology saying that he was wrong and using the incorrect cable. Check out Salazar's channel for the video, if you haven't already.
Yeah, I watched it....PEOPLE, BE CAREFUL and AWARE of what PSU cables you have laying around. If it came in a bag, keep it in that bag. It becomes an issue when you have multiple computers with modular setups!!!
I only have one modular PSU so that isn't a problem for me.
Did I say "Frankie...be careful?" Or was it "hey, IF you have multiple, separate cables into their own bags?"

For anyone that has an S340 and plan on using the Hue+, keep in mind that the case has a third 2.5" drive mount under the PSU shroud. Look under the 3.5" drive rack, you'll see the 4 mounting holes. Nice place to tuck the Hue control box, if you don't like the perma-white LED on it, or if you're like me and have the top 2 mounts occupied with SSDs.

how would i attach my rgb fans to this thing? i have 3 thermaltake riing 12 rgb fans and i just got a nzxt sentry 3 fan controller but the leds turned off

I would have liked to have seen the sleeved cables like NZXTs previous single colour LEDs. These remind me of the bitfenix LED strips I had and they were terrible to mount in the case.
Question tho, can you make it one big loop? 1 Channel, 4 LED strips, going around the case from PSU at bottom to the top and back to the PSU?

Some of the walkthroughs I have seen on other case lighting options have like a soldering gun and people welding stuff together. A soldering gun? LOL. Now who in their right mind would want to do that? If I cant do it easy and user friendly I dont want to do it. Its worth the cost they charge easily. Magnets to make it stick. Extensions to make it run where you want. The Hue plus box to connect everything and software to give you all kinds of options. Its just brilliant. I want this for my next box.
BTW I like your channel and your reviews are great. That Liam Li box you built is so beautiful in one of the other videos. Its a little expensive though. Its rare to see a case that pretty.

Hi Dmitry it's possible use this Hue+ with other non-NZXT led strips? I have some strips with the same 4-pin connectors visible in the Hue+ chassis numbered 1 and 2

Does the cam software control both the hue+ and the new x52 kraken AIO water cooler RGB's together? Thinking of getting these to go in a new build soon along with the NZXT S340 elite case. i-7 6700k, MSi M5 z170 MB, Corsair LPX 16gb ddr4 3200, MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X.

Just wanted to update and say i built the proposed system and its a thing of beauty even if i say so myself;) I put the 4 led strips on 1 of the hue + channels and 2 NZXT RGB fans on the other channel. Along with the Kraken X52 I can sync all the system colours from the wonderful CAM software so easily.
If you have rgb components connected to your motherboard and the hue+ connects to your motherboard will the hue be able to control those rgb components too
Are the color assignments channel independent? Would be cool to even have static colors that fade into one another. Blue on one side and red on the other to create like an ombre effect.

Does anybody know when the Hue+ gets released in Europe? Can't find it somewhere.
I have a question. I would like to buy a DeepCool Captain 240 EX RGB watercooler for my pc, but the coolers RGB need a connection to a motherboard header. Sadly my Msi z170a gaming pro carbon doesn't have any RGB headers. Could I use the NZXT Hue+ as an rgb connector for the watercooler? I hope it was clear enough, sorry for my english

OMG I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS AND I NEED IT, i was about to solder a shit asf $15 led strip with remote and the remote's always getting fucked up like i hit blue and it turns green. I like how you can control it through the PC with Hue+!

Are there LEDs in the CPU rad fans, and if so are they also being controlled by the Hue+? Or are they just reflecting the light from the LEDs?
Is it Linux compatible?
Is the strip special/different? Can normal 5050 strip do the Marquee and spectrum wave effect when connected to hue+? So far only seen 5050 showing static or strobing.
I have entho pro m acrylic, can o install hue + like in This video? Or above the hdds in contact with the case? If the hue is plastic un guess there is no problem...
