The concept of this game was ahead of it's time, It was just poorly executed. Would love for a modern studio to try and take a lot of the stuff of it had and clean it up.
If this was made by the apex legends developers it would be something amazing.....but the apex developers force you to be online to play it even in the gun range which is fucking stupid
I thought this game was awesome when it came out. The only problem i had with it was not enough content so i played it like crazy for like a month or so till the que times got longer then i cared to wait then moved on to another game unfortunatly.
The character customization, classes, weapons, parkour, maps, and even the objectives in this game. I absolutely love. Everything about it is awesome. I would love to see a successor to this game like a Brink 2. Have it being more polished and unified as a whole. I remember grinding on this game.
Tbh, if it weren't for the actual gameplay being really repetetive and gimicky, it could have been much better. I have to say though, 10 years later and is STILL looks good, even on last-gen consoles. Pretty crazy.
It was awesome when it came out but now they have improved on a lot of systems they have in it like parkor mainly. also i guess it could have been better if it had more maps really that was my only problem with it.
I remember playing this game so much when I was in highschool. This was around the time I was playing on the 360 without internet compared to other kids and could only play games like Brink, Dragon Age 2, and Blitz the League 2. If any of the xboxs I got would still work one way or another, or if I was willing to drop 100 bucks just to relive the past, I could still see myself playing this game. There's just something about it's story, how there isn't a right or wrong on either side, and like the video games I played, they're my escape from reality and just a way to take time to myself. Even today I'm still hoping for a sequel to the game, mainly for the story and maybe even add females and make it so that it isn't so repetitive to not only extent it's audience, which I'm upset we need to do that just to do so, but also make it more worth while to not only newcomers but also players like myself who enjoy the game for what it is.
I tried to love this game for so long. I spent dozens of hours hoping it would click. I bet they could make the game how it should have been if they create a sequel.
This game was in the back of my brothers game collection and I played it a couple times and ever since today I’ve always thought about it as a fever dream
I think I have the worst experience with this game. My friends and I were also so extremely hyped to play this game, and watched the trailer all the time in anticipation. I walked a good 20 minutes to the mall to pick up the game (for full price back then, which I believe was $59.99 CAD). I was walking back with my bag of stuff and the game inside, I got almost home and looked down at my plastic bag and it had ripped and the game fell out somewhere along the walk. I panicked and rushed back to retrace my steps but never found it. I was so upset, but still dedicated to playing the game with my friends. I walked back and bought a second copy that day for ANOTHER $59.99 (total over $130)... just to figure out that it was one of the most worthless games ever. It always pains me to think back at the money wasted on this piece of trash game.
I actually loved this game! The design, the maps... I wish there would be a new version. I game is ment to be played online, of yourse the AI was stupid, but that was not the point. I was alwys plaing medical, and I felt really important to the team.
I was literally thinking about this game and this video was recommended to me. It must've been fate trying to save me from going through what you did. Sorry buddy
I come back to this game once year since 2011, its crazy when time goes by you see how much this game was ahead of its time with the athletic movement. Running slides crouching shooters was niche back then. The crazy customization options. Too bad it never really recovered after its messy launch.
When in it's prime and everyone in a game was a real player it was absolutely awesome. Everyone hated on it a lot but I thought it was a ton of fun and had nice graphics, movement and style.
Start doing game reviews man I dig your style and your voice and shit was funny. "I was about to make a gun noise".. then does 😄 🤣 Brink? More like Stink lmaooooo
I played this game sooo much as a kid, probably one of my most played on 360. I also tried it on pc a few years ago, and I was like man... this sucks lol. The closest I can think of is Dirty Bomb, but this game would definitely be sick with a reboot or fan remake.
since this was the first shooter i ever played, this game really means a lot to me. I played it when i was about 6 or 7 and... i'm not kidding when i say this, i straight up had to get a new disc because of how much i played this game. and revisiting it 8 years later, it honestly was as fun as i remember. i'm not kidding when i say if another company, or hell, even id themselves just made this game again with enhanced graphics and some quality of life changes, i would buy the game again. straight up.
I feel ya dawg. Customizing was ahead of its time. It’s trailer was captivatingly epic...... Gameplay was pure trash 🗑 Sure enough went to cash it in at GameStop after I spent $60 on it online...... GameStop’s manager gave me 2 bucks for it
As disappointing as _Brink_ was, I felt that _Titanfall 2, Dishonored,_ and the newer _Dooms_ saw the potential and inventiveness in the movement mechanics and managed to accomplish what it attempted. (I will die on this hill) Much like how _Trespasser: Jurassic Park_ was one of the biggest failures of all time but became the inspiration for _Half-Life 2_ and _Half-Life: Alyx._ If you chuckled and/or scoffed at that outrageous claim, know that Gabe Newell himself used to constantly bring up _Trespasser_ in interviews and how despite being a failure in every conceivable way it was one of the most innovative by bringing to gaming physics interactions, bump mapping, ragdoll physics and the ability to move your arms to interact with things (such as pushing buttons and picking things up) .
Me too. The game honestly was fun despite minor issues. The only thing it really lacked was levels and a strong narrative since the decision given to you was based on its premise.
I remember the first trailer for Brink. Dude was backfliping over a rocket launcher and I was hyped. I had my friends hyped for it and convinced them to buy it. We got out of school and hoped straight on it. I defended that game so bad, despite how terrible it was. The AI freaking SUCKED so bad 😂
I Reinstalled this game after Remembering it one day, spent an hour Trying to Get It to Play the Audio Thru My Headphones, Gave Up So Im Just Going to Have to Agree with the Title of the Video
Brink is a game that had some cool things that put it ahead of its own time, like the movement as a great example. It feels cool sliding into the action and knocking a fool down. It has some cool customization, especially in terms of character design. It is a sad thing seeing how the game came out with muck on it. I'm coming into the game a good 10 or a 11 years after it was released so I'm in a different spit there.
im gonna to write this in spanish so use a translator xd Cuando vi este juego tenia 10 o 11 años y fue como `` quiero este juego YA`` y nunca me decepciono aunque pude haber sido mucho mejor... nice video
I personally think the way the weapons shoot is actually relatively realistic and makes more sense than the constant pin point accuracy in call of duty games cause let's be honest, in real life weapons do not shoot in a straight line everytime you aim down your sights.
I remember playing and you create a character or something and i played like half of a level and literally put the game back in the case and never played it again 🤣
Sorry but im not really sure what settings I was using when recording this. I dont particularly remember even turning motion blur off. The video quality and youtube compression might be hiding it a little.
graphics were so bad, the online connections were so bad. the worst game i have ever played. seeing it in the bargain bin at gamestop for 1.99 made sense
Well I pirated for PC back then and when I played it I played with no one. I used the light body class and operative just to get xp, and the weapons I used were SMG and the auto pistol with knife and parkour killed everyone.
if the gun handling was less blocky and had better transitions like other games of its time (MW2) then it would be good. Even phone games today have more fidelity than this console game did in 2011.
The hate for this game is a mystery to me. I never played it but it surely doesn't look like "THE WORST FPS GAME OF ALL TIME" as some people seem to claim

i actually like this game.

I loved this game
I did too. The only problem I had was there wasn't anybody playing the game, so the lobby would fill up with npc.
