I don't know... Brink was the first game I got on a hype train for. I assume you weren't around for all it's prerelease marketing? Not just that one cinematic trailer but lengthy discussions about gameplay decisions, what their goals were, lots of early footage... The game somehow got *less* polished over time. I'm fairly sure they pulled the Ubisoft trick of totally prerendered, simulated "gameplay" because the animation quality of those early trailers was wonderful. The objectives were even more interesting. Then the game came out, and it ran like hot garbage, and the maps were cramped to the point where a lot of the wacky class interactions just didn't apply, every map was a meat grinder. It only delivered on the concept in a hollow, very unfinished-feeling way. It *should* have been the culmination of everything Splash Damage had made thus far, instead it was pretty mid by comparison, too janky to take the crown. Then Dirty Bomb happened and it was just a much less ambitious Brink which was... disappointing.

I was like 7 playing this game man I finally found the name and I miss the days
This game was good man I miss those days 2013-2015
when you want to use a little bit of sarcasm and your hand slipps and pour the whole gallon
I remember I would get Brink from Redboxes small selection of games . And remember having such a blast on multiplayer!
i dont even wanna think abt how much time i put into this game as a kid. had it on the 360, aint have live either i played the story over an over again lmao
I have vague memories of this game from when it first came out, and fond ones at that
This game is HARDDDD
To be honest the game was ahead of its time. If this game came out now with more refinement and more content. it would dominate.
I actually kinda liked this game when it was released. Only cus I was excited to see a parkour shooter other than CoD. But the controls were weird and the lobbies were always plagued with a couple tryhards who were jus as happy to have a game other than CoD that they could actually be good at.. Never played it again tho cus I'm an adult and grew up and this game is trash
