I am so glad they stayed away from bizzare latex aliens and presented a universe populated with people. The story line was fantastically engaging and the cast had a unique chemistry that pulled it all together. Kudos to Summer Glau for creating one of the most memorable and compelling characters ever!
I still tear up when I see these guys together, I still miss it. It was a shame what the networks did to this show. They could have had a ten season show and they just flushed it, Josh and the gang deserved better.

Trying to reconcile these interviews and reactions to Whedon with the torrent of claims currently being hurled against him. Very disturbing. I suppose the truth (whatever that is) is going to be more complicated, if not impossible, to assess. Regardless, Serenity will always be one of my personally favorite films of all time. Nothing can take away the great work done on it by everyone involved.
I honestly think the bad stories are the exception & NOT the rule when it comes to Joss. It's quite telling that MOST of the people he's worked with refused to join the hate train against him.This "controversy" seems like nothing more than glorified work disputes from a FEW sour grapes on 2 troubled sets. To this day, the Firefly cast never shut up about how much they love the guy. Everyone on Dollhouse & Avengers seemed to like him too. Everyone on Dr. Horrible VOLUNTARILY worked for him for FREE! It's important to look at the big picture & NOT reduce a whole person to a FEW stressed out moments.
